Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M100The Windchill server that I register does not stay connected after I close Creo or restart my computer. I need to re-register the server each time I open Creo.

I have the 3D coordinates of start and end points of multiple helical coils and I want to generate these coils in a 3D space. I also know pitch, dia and etc. 

Hello    I have currently install flexlm 11.16.2.1 in our windows server 2012.    Everything is working perfectly fine when i start Creo 6 and it can pick up the licenses i have and i can do my work.    However, when i start CREO 4 i am getting this error.   This only happen to CREO 4 but other than that, everything i working accordingly.   any tips that can help me solve this issue?    Thank you in advance    //Joey

Is it possible to change the "insertion point" of table that is inserted using Table from file?  For eg: instead of inserting using the upper left point, i would like to use the lower right  

Hello   [Creo 6] I can't seem to get a straighter S-curve on broken view. I try to switch to straight and back to S-curve, mostly without success. Sometimes it does work on other part drawings for whatever reason. Heartbeat break lines gives the same problem. Any ideas to fix other than sketched break line?

Good morning,   I'm making a drawing of some pins that I've made for a test assembly that I've designed using top down techniques.  the image capture 1 shows a pin component that is using two ECG features to reference the tip geometry of the pin and the rear surface of another component that dictates the overall length of the pin. You'll notice that the copied geometry is substantially larger than pin component, but I figured since I was hiding my ECG features once I was done using them as references that this size discrepancy was okay.   Now that I'm making drawings, I'm noticing that the view size of the pin is controlled by the overall geometric envelope, which means that creo is taking the ECG features into consideration.  I know that I could compensate for this by setting the view to have a partial visible area, but this means I'd have to trim each view for a large number of components.  You can see the oversized view on the drawing labeled capture 2. &nbs

I can not attach anything to the middle of a conic arc in sketcher.  I can attach entities to the ends but not anywhere along is length.  I can trim an entity to a conic, but the result is a floating end with dimensions.  Points will not attach to the length of a conic either.   Is there a reason for this or is it a Creo bug?  

Whenever I open a drawing, the Datum Display Filter and Display Style options match whatever I have for that session. So if I have a drawing that I saved with no datums displayed and on the "no hidden" display style, but I open it in a session where I've turned on datum display and I have my view set to Shaded with Edges, the drawing will now match those settings. How can I make those settings save to the drawing itself, rather than matching my session?   I attached a part file and drawing, but this behavior happens for all drawings, not just this one.

Hi,   In the drawings standards, section names are: A, B, C, and so on.. (Except for the letters I, O, J, ...)Is there a way to set the section names automatically A, B, C, instead of XSEC0001, XSEC0002, ....?   If this is important to anyone names such :XSEC0001, XSEC0002, please give us the option to configure it.   Yosef

  Hi everyone,   I'm trying to constrain this part to the lines I have sketched. The orientation is important as it needs to fit a main assembley. When I try to click on the lines it wont recognise them as a reference point. any suggestions on how I can use the sketched lines as refrences for assembling the parts?   Thanks in advance.

I want to change the display of all dimensions in a previously built model to 3 decimal places in part mode. PTC support documents the following steps to do this. I follow until step 6. Where is there a format tab and column in part mode? Menu mapper is not finding it and doc search is not fruitful. Can anyone elaborate on step 6 below?   In Creo Parametric 3.0 and later versions: Ctrl+F or Tools > Find Set Look for and Look by to Dimension Click Find Now Click in the items found area and click Ctrl+A to select all dimensions Click the arrows icon to transfer items from items found to the Items Selected section of the Search Tool dialog box > Click Close Change the Decimal Places value as desired in Format column in Format tab  

I tried to create mapkeys allow me to automatically creating Ballons from table with 3 repeat regions. I recorded action: (Create Balloons - All -> Select a region) x3 (every time chosing diffrent region of the table). When I run mapkey it's asking me to chose 3 regions then balloons apear. I would like to mapkey automatically chosing those three recorded regions instead of asking me to select a 3 regions all over again. Can I create mapkey which remembers my selection of regions?

Looking for a way to add multiple models to a drawing at once.   I'm detailing an assembly with 75+ parts (primarily sheet metal) and I'll have to detail the whole assembly and each part in one drawing package, so I will have the assembly + all 75 of the models in one drawing. Is there a faster way than individually adding ALL 75+ models to the drawing? Is there a way to make a macro? A built in feature?

I have a need to export a flattened harness to a step or iges file and can't quite get it to work. I am on Creo 4.0. When I bring up the manufacturing file there is an export button in the file-->save as menu but it doesn't do anything so I tried just file-->save as. With save as I can get a step or iges file but in both cases the bundles don't show up in the resulting files. If I check export cable surface in the export options I get thin lines between components and a lot of big looped curves. Anyone have any ideas on how to export a flat harness assembly?

Hi there,   I'm Steven. this is the very first post on the communuty. My creo version is 7.0. I tried to import the dxf/dwg file when i sketch. A window will show up to warn there is too much entity in the file you are going to import. It ask you whether to select certain entities to import but not all of them. Then, a sub window will pop out, and there is no entity showing on that window. You can see them only by choosing them. I tried this on 4.0, and it works perfectly. I encounter this only on 6.0/7.0 Do you guys come to this before? I am using Creo Parametric 5.0 5.0.4.0I'm trying to remove material ina rotating sketch.Applies at 4 microns, but not at 3 microns.I don't know the cause.Is there a way to define it below 3 microns?

Is it possible to concatenate / combine the bulk item Qty with its unit as 1 parameter using relation in repeat region?  I would like to display the cell value as "BOM_Report_Quantity" + "Unit"  Instead of 0.040 in the image below, i would like it to show as 0.040 g or 0.040 m depending on what unit user defined...     My attempt so far:  I had tried to use the following relation bomqty=Y+asm_mbr_ptc_unit_bom_report_quantity   Y is the rpt_qty converted into string.    I could convert the rpt_qty to string (Y) but I am NOT able to concatenate it with the bom_report_quantity unit...  It seem that &asm_mbr_ptc_unit_bom_report_quantity could not be display properly?    Note:  I do not want to create an additional parameter or column just for the unit if possible.

Sometime recently, maybe a week or 2 ago, Creo 4 (M130) started taking a long time for the file open dialog box to come up. I've timed it, turns out its about a minute, plus/minus a few seconds. I had been ignoring the problem thinking it was a large workspace issue until I got fed up with it this morning and started troubleshooting the issue. So far I have: deleted my PDMLink workspaces and deleted the .wf file...didn't improve performance Made a workspace with only one item ...didn't improve performance Went offline from pdmlink...didn't improve performance cleaned out my working directory ...didn't improve performance check hard drive space (250 gb available on a 500gb drive ...didn't improve performance removed all my config.pro/config.sup files from loading...didn't improve performance compared my server ping speed to another user without issue with seemingly identical results (+/- a millisecond) checked my std.out file and cleaned up all the errors in there (config.pro erro
