There is an dialog attribute (.HelpButton) in source file which can be set to true. But the help button is always gray out. Does anyone know how to activate and set action for the help button in toolkit/object toolkit?
Hello, Need suggestion in replacing existing Creo drawing template into new drawing template in bulk. We have large numbers of drawing files which required to replace with new drawing template. Would this work by writing micro? Please provide you suggestion. Thank you
Hello all, I have a situation where I want to save table in CSV format.I am using 'ProDwgtableSave' API for the same.ProError ProDwgtableSave(ProDwgtable* table, ProPath path, ProDwgtableFormattype table_format, int segment_id ); The API extern 'ProDwgtableSave' requires 'segment id' as an argument. I am using 'ProDwgtableSegCount' API to get segment count. ProError ProDwgtableSegCount (ProDwgtable *p_table,int *n_segs); But I am not finding a way to get 'segment id' from the number of segments. Therefore I am not able to save CSV file as it is not getting specific table data.Though I am able to save TXT file as it does not require 'segment id' as argument. Thanks in advance. Running Creo 4.0 and I'd like to run a stress/strain or failure analysis on this part. This is my first attempt at a simulations. I have viewed some tutorial videos and PTC courses, but I haven't found a comparable situation yet. The part bears against a post for 60-70% of the upper length of the part. It is pinned by the 2 screws shown. I know that the failure typically is across the middle of the lower screw but I can't replicate in simulate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi all, I use code following code to create a Directory using toolkit err = ProFileMdlnameParse(SelPath00, OutPutPath, MdlName, Ext, rev); ProWstringToString(DwgName, MdlName); mkdir(strcat("C:\\temp\\", DwgName)) When i run the application second time, the DwgName is getting appended. (i.e first time DwgName is 1234, second time it becomes 12341234) Kindly suggest.
Hi, We have CAA Catia code for creating toolbar in CATIA. can we migrate this code to CREO parametric toolkit. Thanks and regards sekar
Hello everyone! I am trying to create a rectangle of four lines using OTK Java. This will be a section for my extrusion. All lines for the extrusion must be coincident. But I don’t know how to make them like that.Because of this, it is not possible to extrude. My code is: Point2Ds tops = Point2Ds.create(); Point2D A = wfcSession.CreatePoint2D(90.00,90.00); Point2D B = wfcSession.CreatePoint2D(90.00,-90.00); Point2D C = wfcSession.CreatePoint2D(-90.00,-90.00); Point2D D = wfcSession.CreatePoint2D(-90.00,90.00); Point2D E = wfcSession.CreatePoint2D(90.00,90.00); tops.set(0, A); tops.set(1, B); tops.set(2, C); tops.set(3, D); tops.set(4, E); SectionEntityPolyline rectangle = wfcSection.SectionEntityPolyline_Create(tops); SectionEntity entity = (SectionEntity)rectangle; sketch.AddEntity(entity); Section that is obtained after starting: Please help, if anyone knows.Thanks in advance.Regards!
Someone just asked me a question about setting the default x-hatching. I had never thought about it but we often change the x-hatching on a drawing to steel. I use a mapkey to do this but if there was a way to make the cross hatching default to steel, that would make at least one user happy.
has anyone else seen this before? It just randomly started happening today no changes to settings or software. on Creo 5.0.4.0 no issues when we run play path but the simulation shows these crazy jagged arcs extending well past the machine travel
See error below. Says I don't have adequate graphics, but I have an M1200 with 4GB Video Memory.
I'm having issues in understand how to properly set a topology design with frequency constraint. The aim is to minimize the mass achieving a 1st natural frequency higher than 510 Hz. The item of the optimization is an aluminum rectangular box, from which I'd like to remove material leaving a "skin" of 0.3 mm at the bottom, with a ribbed structure to obtain the proper stiffness for the > 510 Hz first eigenfrequency. I did different attempts, but what I always achieve is a "messy" structure (unless I set "uniform in ## plane", but I prefer leaving Creo free to put material where necessary, and then adapt the material manually extruding various geometry ribs following the suggested material distribution) but most of all, when I proceed with the geometry reconstruction, I obtain a component that won't satisfy the frequency constraint. After a modal simulation, the 1st eigenfrequency is in every case way lower than the 510 Hz I've set. I premise that I'm a beginner with Top
When starting Creo 5.0.1.0 for the first time and replacing a copied part in assembly, I get an error: "You must use Standard mode to redefine this dashboard feature.": After closing/erasing and repeating the steps, the replace suddenly works. How can I resolve this error? The only thing that has changed in the second replace is the PRO_PART ID from 3, to 524291.
Hi, Does somebody know, where to find a postprocessor for LinuxCNC for milling ? Somewhere on the internet I read, that it uses RS-274NGC -code. So maybe there is a postprocessor that can be used ? And if not, do you know a good tutorial on how to create such a postprocessor ? Thanks,
I want to fix the position of an element of my sketch (e.g. a line or a point) in such a way that by defining any distance to it from any other elements such elements must move (and not the fixed one). Is there a simple way to do it?
In CREO 3.0 when exporting a STEP file the "Export STEP" dialog box came up and gave you a option to select a CSYS. In CREO 4.0 this seems to be gone . Where can I find this option in CREO 4.0 ? Thanks
Hello! I created a part window using the code: Model tryModel = curSession.CreatePart ("Testing1"); tryModel.Display (); Here's what happened: Then to create the tree elements I need to access the model in the current session: ========================================================================= Session session = pfcSession.GetCurrentSession (); Model currModel = session.GetCurrentModel(); MessageDialogOptions msgOpts = pfcUI.MessageDialogOptions_Create();MessageButtons buttons = MessageButtons.create();buttons.append(MessageButton.MESSAGE_BUTTON_OK);msgOpts.SetButtons(buttons);msgOpts.SetMessageDialogType(MessageDialogType.MESSAGE_WARNING);msgOpts.SetDialogLabel("OTK Sweep Feature Create ERROR"); if(currModel == null) { session.UIShowMessageDialog("Model must be in current Session",msgOpts); throw new
Is there a straight forward method of creating a length of flexible pipe with a wire core and a plastic outer profile that varies in width to suit the change in helical pitch. Please see the attachment.
Do you need to Copy geometry from one model to another one - use Publish Geometry and Copy Geometry features:
cannot change the tolerance settings on my dimensions, unknown if there is a hidden setting switched on. the drop down menu for tolerances is also grayed out
So Say I have a default part size. For example, I can purchase plywood in 5x5ft sheets. I want all my dimensions of multiple parts to be based on that full sized pattern. I might cut it into an L shape for one part, or into a foot wide strip in another. But they are all based on that one part. Is it possible to import the fullsized sheet "plywood.prt" that already has material data attached, into an assembly multiple times to be placed and have extrudes cut from it using other constraints or will naming get in the way? Is there a better way to do this? For other parts, like extruded aluminum with a complicated cross section, I'd only need to make the shape once, then cut it at different lengths inside the assembly, which would be phenomenal. Which is why I'd like to learn this now, while I'm only dealing with a project with simple cross sections.
Hello, my son studies in an engineer french school and will have to use CREO for his projects. He needs to buy a laptop for using CREO and we want to realize a real test of this laptop with existing files. We have planned to :- get files from students of 2nd and 3rd year for testing- install Creo as a trial version on my laptop (that has very good capabilities - graphical card & memory) If test is valid, we will buy same configuration. During this testing procedure we face the following problem, a display message : "the file XXX.asm4 has been created with CREO Parametric Academic Edition and is not compatible with C P Trial Edition". My question is the following : is there a way to realize this test and open files created with academic version of the software with a Trial version installed on the computer? Thanks for you quick replyBest Regards
Hello all, I have a question regadering symmetric and centerlines. Is it possible to have two centerlines be symmetric with 1 centerline in the middle via the symmetric constrain? I want this so that i could create two features that are on each side of the centerline which are symmetric. Kind regards, Vincent Ruhe
When i want to change working directory to some other folder, it doen't take UNC path. if mapped from network drive, it works. am i doing something wrong? or Creo has limitations.
Hi, We have more and more the need for automatic delivery of a STEP or STL file from a complete installation assembly and this for 3D implant attempts for our future customers. As we do not want to pass all our engineering knowledge to the customer we like to work with a shrink-wrap generated at a certain precision level, so only the outer shell is given, enough for implant in a factory. My question now is: Is it possible to configure the WVS service of Windchill so that a Cad worker generates shrink-wrap at a certain precision in STEP or STL format ? Besides we have the AR story, but has anyone experiences with AR-assemblies that easily have +1000 models ? Regards Bernard
Hi, I want to customize the one of the frame cells up to document type in drawing. I've looked up a parameter for subtype but I couldn't find. Changing of title isn't very important, I can define as "Dimensions" for all of them. If document type is Assembly then: Title: Dimensions, Value: blank or "---" If document type is sheetmetal then: Title: Unbend Dimension Value: Unbended bounding box If document type is part then: Title: Dimensions Value: Bounding box Best regards,
