Hello everyone,We just upgraded to CREO 11 from CREO 7. Axis are showing up as solid lines in models in 11 but show as center line 7. I've been looking for a config setting or something to fix it with no luck. Gets to be a mess with large parts. They display better in drawings, you can zoom in and see it's a center line at least. They show up correctly when printed. Any suggestions? Thanks
Is it possible to add a dimension reference to an existing ordinate dimension? In the image below, the top hole is a new feature. I want to add it to the existing ordinate dimensions, but can't figure out how without deleting everything and starting over.
I want to understand how difficult it would be to reproduce this functionality using the free version of JLink. Currently, we have some Smart Assembly licenses and use them for placing UDFs. How challenging would it be to achieve the same with JLink, so we can deploy to a larger group without relying on Smart Assembly licenses? Here is a sample bit of code that we use in Smart Assembly. Basically, it shows an image of what to select, and then the user makes a selection, which Smart Assembly uses to place the UDF.MESSAGE_BOX_EX IMAGE lib:PIC\TC_00_0.GIF GENERAL "TOPCAP AXIS" "SELECT TUBE SURFACE" BUTTONS JUNK USER_SELECT SURFACE TUBE_SURFACE CREATE_UDF lib:udf\new_axis THIS UDF_GROUP UDF_REF TUBE_SURFACE TUBE_SURFACE END_CREATE_UDF GET_GROUP_FEATURE UDF_GROUP 1 GROUP_FEA SET_REF_NAME GROUP_FEA "SA_TOP_CAP_AXIS" UNGROUP_FEATURES UDF_GROUP SEARCH_MDL_REF EXCLUDE_INHERITED THIS AXIS "SA_TOP_CAP_AXIS" TOP_CAP_SPRING_AXIS
Hi Dear, I am having a 2D Drawing which requires to show Dual dimensioning in a table for BOM. Option 1 (See attached image) :Right now by default in Creo 2D Drawing the dimensions shows up Top[mm] and Bottom[Inch]. Option 2 (see attached Image) : I would like to show dimensions side by side - Calling dimensions from Model. Left [mm] right sixe [Inch]. (I have manually written as of now in this image),I would appreciate if you can adivse how can I achieve option 2 for dimensions that are called from Model? Thanks so much in advance.
Creo is creating these loops when I route the cable, but they are not shown in the network routing. Yes, the network is continuous. The cable assembly is 4 separate connectors but the wires from one go to different connectors so they need to be on the same network. I'm not sure why this is happening. I am not recieving any network errors.
After choosing a bolt and corresponding nut, I get the attached error. The hole in the first part is created, but the hole in the second part of the bolted assembly does not get created.
I'm trying to create an R1/8 threaded hole as a mate to the component in the picture. The component is an R1/8 to 12mm push fit adapter. I tried to create a thread using the helix sweep feature but was unsuccessful. if someone could point me in the right direction, it would be very much appreciated.
I am using Creo 9 and trying to align freestyle shape(s) to facet feature; not finding any way to do this.my goal is to make smooth shape from stl feature then be able to "shell" the model any help is greatly appreciatedthanksRich
As per the original post.. Martin, Do you know if it possible to include conditional statements in a psf file?I'd like to be able to do something like the following, but it doesn't seem to to work:IF !DEFINE(CREOCACHEDRIVE) ENV=CREOCACHEDRIVE=C:ENDIF
Dear all, I have a big troubles to import jt files from some customer and almost find the reason from the topic. Current my JT file assembly name have no hypens but most of parts name have hypens... When I imported this jt files to creo, It takes almost 20 minutes and hypen name have changed to under bar... JT2GO just takes 30 seconds to show this model. Creo imported 20 minutes And some parts disappeared in creo compare to JT2GO parts ,, Is anyone have this kinds of issues ?? If the my customer changes parts name, It will be clear ?? I just ask this here because customer maybe don't want to change. Anyway, thanks a lot to give a hints from all of you.

Hello all, I'm struggling about creating a new format in our company's drawing, we are using Creo 9.0.4.0. I want to add some selectable notes in the drawing and I succeeded by creating a custom symbol. I can customize it when I am still redesigning the format file, change the values, move it, everything rocks. Now when I want to create a drawing with this format, I cannot customize nor move the symbols anymore. They are frozen as they are printed on the paper and I cannot even try to customize it at all as they are not present in the symbol list at all. Do you know if I missed some parameters in the config, in the dtl or in the symbol itself so that I can at least customize it? Thank you in advance for your feedback and help! Giandonato \
HiAs we know, by default Creo shows edges of quilds (surfaces) in pink on drawings. A Creo user can change the quild display colour on his/her machine through the Creo display settings (Options > System appearance>Global colors), but that doesn't affect how other users see that same drawing (other users will still see those edges in pink).I would like to find a way how to set the colours of quild edges in my drawing views. I am happy to set colours for all lines on each affected drawing view if that's required. However, when aiming to set the "Line Style" (Creo drawing: Layout tab > Format section>Line Style>Modify Lines) I can't select any quilds. The selection filter is showing "All" but Creo doesn't pick up the quild edges (when I hover the mouse over the quilds, it just doesn't pick up anything). So the question - how can I change the colour of those quild edges? Please let mw know if any screenshots / screen video recordings would be helpfulThank you
First of all, since it is a machine translation, the text may be strange. I would like to modify the bom as shown in the picture below. I tried to find as similar cases as possible, but I think my skills are lacking.I would like to change it like the attached picture. Is that possible? and how?Thank you for helping me, despite my shortcomings.(creo 9.0.4)

This one has had me confused for about a month so I am turning to the Community. PTC Tech Support call was opened on March 21 and nothing back to help. Instead of the usual "Can we do a Teams session?', the support engineer replied that he had sent the issue to R&D. We run Creo from a single install on a network server, have since Wildfire 4 days. Procedure is to the install on a Windchill server, which doubles as the Publishing machine for CreoView, and then copy the install folder over to the network drive and edit the parameteric.bat file to change the file location. This has worked great. Wehn the CreoAgent program came into play, we do the same thing, using an environment variable in a start batch file that we call from parametric.bat. This has worked through Creo 4, Creo 7, Creo 9 and somewhat in Creo 11. I have 2 sets of Windchill/Creo servers and one is air-gapped due to data security reasons. When I installed Creo 11 on that server, did the copy and edited the
Hii have trail file .It work perfect if i have only one component whit same name in assembly . if i have two or more dosnt work. How to change that this will be work. . Thanks TP.
Creo 7+ I have a need to predefine in a drawing template the display of a quilt in some views in the template. We are currently using view specific layer display settings to manually set this up on views after using the template to create a new drawing. I am looking for a way to define this in the template views to avoid this manual work on all drawings using the template. See this related thread specific to the use of layers: Drawing template layers: possible to define layers... - PTC Community A combination state can control a layer state which can then be set in a drawing template view, I tried using this for a view and it works, however the view display does not propagate to projected views (works to spec according to PTC). See: Article - CS432910 - Layer status is changed for a Projected View of a combined state of drawing in Creo Parametric A combination state would have to be created in a model for each view orientation (16x) in the d
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.4.0Having issue in Search path file, not able to read from folders path provided.
I have an issue with connectors that moved off the harness in the flat state. I actually have several like this. These were done by an outside firm and handed off to me to make changes. In the Model tree in the flat all the ones that are out in space are all highlighted in RED as Regeneration Failed features. I also have some features in the model tree that have failed as well but are fine in the main harness assembly.
Hi all, I have been trying to create a library of parts for our company to use via Windchill. I have created all the parts via the instance creator and they all generated correctly and worked with the IFX tool when the files were local. I then uploaded the files for all the components onto Windchill and it worked fine for a week or so. However, I have now run into an issue where the button head fasteners and nuts don't assemble via the tool for an unknown issue. Looking into the error note it says the placement references are failing to work properly but I can't find anything different in the .dat files compared to other fastener files which are still working as intended. They can be assembled manually from their location on Windchill so the parts work, just seem to fail when trying to use them with IFX. I've attached the fastener .dat files used below on Creo 8.0. Please let me know if there is a fix to get those files working as t
I solved this myself but it was by pure accident. My section view was showing cosmetic threads and i couldnt' figure out why. i would recreate the section view and it would still show them. Not every section view shows cosmetic threads, only a certain one. What i learned was that if you have an EXCLUDED COMPONENT in the Hatch Bodies then it will show the cosmetic threads in that cross section(despite not being on that plane). I had to turn off my excluded body and then the cosmetic threads would disappear. What made this harder to understand was that if you have a partial view of the view you're using and that EXCLUDED BODY isn't in the actual splined area then you don't get the option to TURN ON the EXCLUDED COMPONENT. I had to undo my partial view, make the exlcluded componented INCLUDED and then re-do my partial view. just an FYI since my google-fu turned up nothing on this. Bug Report?
How to have Cable with different Spools in a Harness?See Image attached. Green and Yellow need different spools. Spool option to change is grayed out for YELLOW. If changed for GREEN, Yellow also changes. THANKS!
