I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0Hi!We are CD6, a company in Spain.I need 2 solutions about the program. My company use Creo for design pieces with 3d. One of this problems is when I change the inches to milimeters, always need go to the change and put this. I prefer to put this for 1 time and if I close and next on this program or the computer, always have this change permanent and don't go to the change and repeat this every day.The other thing is when I do the plans in 2d, always have the third angle projection and in Spain use the first angle. This is other problem for me and for the company because the other companies need the first angle. Can I change this? Thanks for all,Nil CG

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0HI, the question came up, if there are any downsides, when i define my assembly-relations with driven-dimensions (eg. 3D-Annotations) instead of the dimensions of the component (driving dimensions).
Hello,I can’t hide the DTM anymore. Does anybody know how to change that?Parametric doesn’t display the option to do that. Even with CTRL+H it isn’t possible. It is just an issue in Assembly and in the Start model. If I create a new ASM model which is empty, then it works. There must be an option or something.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0We having an issue on Creo detailing while importing dxf file, autoscaling is not performing within the sheet size. Any idea about this, please let me know
Hi, I'm looking for more information than what's in HELP about using the List/Series parameter. To be more specific, I would like to know how to use the List/Series parameter in Relations.Get an element value from the series. For example, y = X[5].Assign a parameter to an element in a series. For example, X[2] = 25.1.Thnak you
We are being requested to provide an estimated clamp tonnage from our mold sampling department. Has anyone used Creo Tool Design to calculate clamp tonnage? Is there a feature for this? I know Creo understands molding surfaces versus molding surfaces, parting line, and the molding part has the material assigned to it. Therefore, It would be nice for Creo to provide the user a estimate as to how many ton (force) to keep the mold closed during injection.
Hello, I am on creo parametric 7.0.4.0. I am trying to change the material of a part that has a locked parameter. Here's the error message I get: "Can not change the assignment of a material of PRIMARY_BODY in V004932_GEAR_WORM_DX.PRT, since it is locked. " I can find the locked parameter by right clicking on the body and selecting "Parameters", which is different than Tools-> Parameters. I have already verified that the copy geometry is not pulling in a material. (unchecked the box for that)I have tried to add: allow_create_pdm_param yes but It cannot be added to my config.pro.I suspect the parameter is locked because the copy geometry references an "import feature". The locked parameters have sources of "copy" and "creo parametric" and cannot be unlocked by getting into a drop down menu by clicking. I am using Windchill, but because the source isn't windchill, I don't suspect that's the issue. I have attached a pictur
Ok, so, for a LOOOOONG time I've wanted to make 7 other iso views like the Default Orientation, but never was able to find actual information to make it work. There was some numbers I found here some time ago based on Radians....but they weren't quite correct, and that bugged the cr@p out of me. since we're revising our start models and I REALLY finally wanted to put this to bed, I FINALLY was able to find the info that I needed. In looking at it, I figured the rotation angle around the Y axis (relative to the screen) HAD to be 45deg (+ or - depending)...and it is, but what was the horizontal angle? I found the last clue here for the "True" representation (FINALLY!): https://support.ptc.com/help//creo/ced_modeling/r20.5.0.0/en/index.html#page/ced_modeling/OSDM_Annotation/am_settings_isometric_view.html I've attached the Word doc I made, but for, say, Iso-Front-Left-Top orientation, the angles when starting from the FRONT view are: (DEFAULT TYPE ISO VIEWS
Creo 7 I recently ran into this issue. I have a coworker who starts with an existing design, makes the necessary changes, and updates the drawing.Once I get ahold of the drawing file and open it, I get flagged with the "Fixed Partially Deleted Items" error. When the file finally opens it contains all my coworkers new views, but they are overlapped with the views he deleted. They only show up when I open it. It seems they are referred to as ghost parts? Is there a way to prevent this? Thank you!
Hello, I'm currently attempting to display the "&DESCRIPTION" parameter of a subassembly within a larger assembly model, but am having issues. Here is what I've currently tried:Typing "&DESCRIPTION" into a leader note attached to the subassembly displays the description for the overall assembly, which is not what I'm looking for.I'm aware of some modifiers that can be added to these commands to change how they display. When I type "&DESCRIPTION:att_mdl", I get the parameter for the specific PART within said subassembly. I'm combing the list on PTC but none are jumping out as the solution (but maybe one of them is). Is there a way to acquire this parameter for the intermediate subassembly? I can access it while searching around the parameter lists, but I don't know what command to type to display it. I have several subassemblies in this assembly and would like to show the name/description for each of them in one view.
Hi I have weak dimensions turned off. I find it annoying in sketching, when you attached a dimension to a circle, it defaults to radius. It would be more intuitive to have it default to radius dimension for arcs only. Anyone agree? Any way to set this functionality? Cheers! Rick in Mississauga,
I am using Creo Parametric Release 2.0 and DatecodeM150Creo Parametric exits with 'Auto Traceback Info' dialog having warning, "Fatal error encountered. A traceback has been written to C:\Users\Public\Documents\traceback.log.
I insert images as Paintbrush object or as image and whenever I erase memory a reopen the drawing, all images appears as grey rectangles. THey are not printed in PDF. I've seen an article that encourage to change "Config Color Option" from NO to YES but I'm not being able to find it. I'm using Creo 9.0.8.0Thanks!
Why does this happen so often? When extruding a sketch, feature is forcing me to remove material even though I want to add material. The "Remove material" button is grayed out and I can't unselect it. Usually there's a small issue with the sketch that I need to fix, but not this time. I see no issues now.How can I get it to unselect "Remove material"?
Hi Folks, I am using Creo 7.0.8.0. In earlier versions of Creo, I remember being able to bend 4 walls of a simple sheetmetal box in one feature by control-clicking the 4 edges of the first planar feature. I can't seem to do this anymore. When I hold the ctrl key, there is no option to select additional edges. I have to create 4 separate flat-bend features to create a box. Am I missing something here? Thank you.
Hi!I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.5.0 and am having issues with my local parameters not updating. Some background- there was an existing part very similar to the one I needed to create with some minor changes. I pulled that part from Windchill, and added it to my Workspace. From there, I did a rename & save, and updated the part accordingly. We then use cosmetic sketches to define key parameters so later we can search for parts by those parameters in Windchill. In this example, I am creating a housing for a bearing, and the OD of the housing is defined "L". From there, we have a whole "Relation Pack" where we input the specifics of the housing like housing type, size, etc. and then based on the relations and associated cosmetic sketches, it creates the bedacodes used in Windchill. Continuing with the OD of the housing example- we have something like:if design=="FB" if type_lub BL02=Lelse B
I am on CREO 7.0.12.0 and I want to know if there is a button or a mapkey to 'flip normal view' 180 degrees? Sometimes it happens that I make a section and want to look at it, so I have made a shortcut button for "Normal to" but it goes to the wrong half where I don't see the section I made. In SolidWorks I can just press the normal to button/shortcut again and it will flip me to the other side immediately. But in CREO it doesn't do anything. Is there a way to flip normal views automatically?
HI everyone,I'm using Creo Parametric v. 9. I would like to know if there is a way in which is possible to understand if a cad is associated to a WTPart in Windchill, in order to use it into an if statement in the part/assembly relations.I could not find anything on this topic on the net. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Hi, When loading the index file file in Firefox (version 134.0.1):///<Creo 11 install.>/Common%20Files/protoolkit/protkdoc/manual0/loadApiWizard.html The tree section loads, but selecting any link on the tree does not bring up the page in the main window, it only leaves it blank: I am able to open to open a link in a new tab which works fine (but only opens the function page, so the tree is gone)It has previously worked. It also works in Edge and Chrome. Obviously not a major concern, but quite inconvenient. I wonder if anyone has experienced this also or know how to resolve? Thanks
HelloI would like to know if it is possible to leave CREO with two languages, when it opens I can select which one I want.
Dear Admin,In PTC Creo, the "Mold Cavity" and "Cast Cavity" option are disabled in the Manufacturing module. How could I enable this feature.Best regards,Shahid IqbalFig : Shown as Grayed out
Hello, I am running Creo 10.0.4.0. I am trying to figure out if there's a way to populate a BOM in a drawing with the information of a coordinate system. For example, I would like to populate the below BOM with the coordinate system information from the below part so "TEST" would then appear in the "COORDINATE SYSTEM" column. I have tried asm->mbr->User Defined -> coordinatesystem, coordinate_system, coordinate system, and origin. Perhaps there is another keyword to reference that line item? Or perhaps another selection from the region that is not asm->mbr? Thanks in advance
Hi everyone,I’m currently using a floating student license provided by my university, and I have a question about compatibility between the educational and commercial versions of PTC software. As part of my project, I need to design a part and an assembly that will be inserted into an existing assembly created using a commercial license. The part should remain editable even after the project is completed.Does anyone know if a part created in the educational version can be opened and modified in the commercial version without issues? Are there any restrictions or workarounds I should be aware of?Thanks in advance for any insights!SincerelyPeter
