Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Using Creo Parametric 10.0.4.0 I'm drawing a welding assembly and I've got welds that have arrows going through parts of the assembly.I would like to add jogs to the arrows so I can route them around the part instead. Is there any way to do this?And is there a way to move the weld symbol to another plane whilst keeping the arrows as they are. Right now, when I move the weld symbol to another plane, all the arrows move to that same plane and are no longer connected to the actual welds.Hope you can help me out! 🙂

How to enable 'Advanced Assembly Extension' by default whenever Creo is opened. We had Creo 7 previously where it was enabled always. After upgrading to Creo 9, we have to go options and enable the extension manually every time we open Creo. What setting we need to change to get it enabled permanently.

Hi CREO experts, I'm setting up new templates for my company and now I'm stuck with a font size problem probably refering to a din.dtl option. (CREO 9.0)We're using ISO Tolerance tables for shafts and holes and there is one problem with the display of the tolerances.I've set the tol_text_height_factor to 0.5. That works for all +/- tolerances, but not the limits. (see attached file)PlusMinus: Limits: As you can see the font size in the "Limit" display in the brackets is 1.0 but I want to have it 0.5 like in the "PlusMinus"Does anyone know the din.dtl or config.pro option to have the "Limits" display style the same as "Plus Minus"? Thanks in advance

We have two parameters 'DRW_RELEASED_ON' & 'DRW_RELEASED_BY' in our drawing template. Source for these parameters is Windchill. Meaning, the values for these parameters will appear automatically when the drawing is released. All this worked fine in Creo 7 When we upgraded to Creo 9, I could not see these two parameters in the drawing template. Becuase of this, values for these parameters are not getting populated after the drawing is released. Can someone help? where exactly this issue is there?

Creo Parametric 9.0.2.0The section view fails when the assembly components have been dragged.Do we also need to save a snapshot of the section view as well?

I'm using a custom menu created with J-Link to set the material in a part. The method pfcPart.Part.RetrieveMaterial works fine when the config option pro_material_dir is set to a local/network drive. However when this is set to a Windchill location using wtpub://[servername]/[material library] I get the error: com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcExceptions$ToolkitNotFound. The material library location is correct (it points to the right location when manually setting the material) and the Windchill server is registered and authentication is done when starting up Creo. Do I need to make a connection to Windchill within my program before I can access items such as material files?

Looking to probatch a bunch of files from .prt and .asm to step and drawings as dxf. I am exporting from Wildfire 4.0 which just happens to be on the laptop I'm exporting from. I used to know how to do this. Does anyone have a quick guide to doing this? I don't want to spend more time figuring this out than it takes to do it manually. Thanks, WayneF

Dear Sirs, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out regarding the Creo drawing inspection function shown in the attached image. This function automatically generates a dimension report and allows for the export of dimension data to an Excel file via the "Export to XLS" button. I am looking to automate this process using Creo TOOLKIT, specifically to automatically extract dimensions and generate the report. However, I am not very experienced with programming. Hello, im at creo parametric 7.0.9.0 and it never saves what config i am using or what directory i am working. Like always. Here is how i confi'ed' the creoin this folder especific its my config, but i tried other folders, it always open in the below foldersworking_directoryconfigshould I  write something on my config, so it becames permantly. Ive already tried chanching the file_open_default_folder with defaault, working dir, in secion but nothing workings. I did already look to some solutions on here, like chanching trought the envirment but didnt work as well.

I recently discovered an interesting trick in Creo Simulate. Normally, it is not possible to place constraints on the weighted links. When starting a static analysis, a fatal error occurs. Therefore, instead of constraints, e.g. springs to ground are required. However, if the static analysis is integrated in a fatigue analysis, Creo forgets the pre-check and calculates without problems 🤣

Hello, I am using Creo Parametric 9.0.8.0 with Windows 10. I have an odd case where it appears that Creo is measuring the volume of a part wrong. The volume output from the mass properties dialog box is showing a value of about 0.306 in^3 as shown in one of the screen shots. However, this way underestimates the volume of the part. Just the main portion in the middle can be hand calculated to about 0.7 in^3. I don't know what is wrong here. I have tried regenerating the part and swapping to fully assigned properties and then back to geometry defined, but the number does not change. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks, 

Not much fun doing detailed drawings.  I remember doing detail drawings in the early 90's on Pro/ENGINEER and being able to select 10+ drawings into memory all at once.  Does anyone know what year we lost the ability to load countless drawings?  *not that it's a big deal just being nostalgic LOL Bart Brejchadesignengine.com 

First and foremost creo lags so much on a brand new computer. Yes i have read the post where it says just write -g:win32_gdi and yes it fixed the problem with the lagging. It works crisp with that setting. But the model colour is all dark grey and unusable. And the fix to that is to remove -g:win32_gdi. Can i have a crisp program with correct colours and graphics at the same time?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0In a coordinate system, the three transformations and the three rotations are displayed as dimensions by default.Double-clicking on the coordinate system always displays all six dimensions, which can lead to errors such as selecting the wrong dimension.Can I hide the dimensions that should not be changed?

Hello, I received a message in German saying that the mass properties are outdated. In subsequent processes, I always receive a similar message.Can someone explain how to fix this?Is it possible that some configuration has changed and can no longer be used? I dont want just to hide the notification.The Startparts are created in Creo 10.0.3.0 and am still using it.I activated the mass_property_calculate and changed but its not solving the issue.

After creating sheet metal parts on Creo 11.0.1, the wall thickness of sheet metal is set to read-only, so it can't be modified. I've already reported this bug to our distributor, but they said there is no solution right now, or return to old version. Is there any solution please share.

Hello, I am looking for help. My creo license was working fine 5 days ago and suddenly today i cant even get to the installation software on the PTC website. I had to re-install my creo parametrics because it was crashing every time I put my license key in.I would be grateful if someone could help me as soon as possible. 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.5.0I would like to change the bend_order table note information in the drawing. Is it possible?

The Connection Analysis tool allows me to check for how surfaces connect with each other. I can analyze a quilt and look at the edges between surfaces to see if they match up in position, tangency, curvature and acceleration. the last three are quite obvious. Wheich edges are tangential and which are not? But the first one is a bit strange. If I have a quilt, and no one-sided edges, and it can solidify, obviously it's a closed quilt. But I can still analyze it and see that it has edges with a position error more than zero. It may even have edges with a position error more than the accuracy of the part. You'd think such a thing would cause problems, but it doesn't, necessarily. Creo still highlights the edge as two-sided and I may still solidify the quilt. I'm guessing Creo is checking the edge of one surface against the corresponding edge on the other and looks at the difference, and due to the inexact nature of the mathematics here, it's not going to be exactly the same. The

Curious.. is there a way to stop the layer tree from expanding itself? I find it annoying to constantly have to minimize this tree, as it seem to always want to pop up to be seen.. Not sure why it needs to constantly pop back up after a few commands.. but it does..  Covers the model tree to the point I need to scroll down in the model tree to get back to where I was (part or feature..) I assume it's because it has a 'self esteem' issue..

Hey guys,  I hope there is a better answer than "not possible" (using creo 4.0) My company is new to MBD, I am detailing a very large complex weldment. I am creating the tabs, comb-states, sections, details etc. but one thing I have noticed that is driving me nuts is I cannot add a jog to the leader lines. For the weld callouts, annotations or the notes. This only applies in the 3d space. I know how to add jogs and breaks in 2d space. But cannot seem to find a work around that is quick enough to justify the effort. The image attached is just one example of why I want a jog, so I am not dragging the leader across the entire feature.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.11.0I am trying to add a weight per piece column into our bill of material in the repeat region on our drawing format. I successfully added a column that pulls from our weight parameter in the part but when I add the summation to the repeat region for total weight it only adds the weight per piece once and is not taking into account the quantity of the part.I also would like to know if it is possible to put this summation into a different table in the drawing that is not part of the repeat region. I tried adding the summation string to another table in the drawing but it does not work like intended. I can type the parameter into the drawing manually and it adds it but not permanently in the format.Lastly would like to make it so that the balloons are always set to "QTY SPLIT" when making a new drawing instead of having to change it.
