So, I got this model, that has an "Inherited Model Reference", so it should have an external inheritance feature inside that cannot be retrieved by Creo (Version 8, and 10). After you try to load this model, your session is corrupted in the following way:The File > Manage Session > Object List is empty [1].The Folder Browser > In Session shows the reference model [2].The Folder Browser > Workspace does only contain the model I want to open [3].Opening the reference model from In Session does not work (cannot be retrieved—expected, Object List).Opening the reference model by itself works fine. Having the reference model in session does not change the issue.Erase Not Displayed looks like [4], and results in an "All the objects which were not displayed have been erased." message, but the session remains unchanged (Object List, In Session, Erase Not Displayed). When we try to visualize this model in WVS I get the error "Failed to erase 1 files in session (-1 1)" and the pub
Hello all, first time post, long time lurker. I've recently dabbled into CREO simulate. I'm having trouble working with fasteners and understanding why such low fastener preloads produce insanely high stress values. I'm using CREO 7.0 When I apply only 10N of preload to my fastener (1/2"), I get thousands of MPa on the metal plates. I have no external loads applied. 25000MPa. WHY? Here's a look at my fastener. And here's my material. Please help me understand what is going on. Thank you.

For the Creo drawing BOM.The BOM level should be automatically adjusted according to a size A3, A4 etc. , If needed move to the next page.Is it possible?
Hi,We are working on chassis design for off-road vehicles and we have very large assembly files. (Approx 10.000 parts) I am working on projects by excluding or including components but sometimes it takes time to process easy tasks. Our computers are workstations and they are very good but in very large assemblies it does not help. I know some ways to do but it didn't help much.Is there possible ways to increase performance? Thanks in advance -Enes
Hello Folks, I am using Creo 7.0 and partial or detail view generates as full view in pdf file when working online (windchill connected). But when I generate pdf file offline (with standalone creo / offline) same view remains as is as they are in creo drawing.I wonder if anybody faced this issue. Any help is appreciated!! Regards,Mani
Hi everyone, I am having an issue with fixing parts in Creo Parametric 6.0. We are a team which works on chassis manufacturing and we have a lot of parts in our assembly files. Sometimes we have some reference issues and we have to delete all constraints and fix all parts in assembly. I created a mapkey for this but it just does one part with one keytap. So we need to fix all the parts but faster. We are using Windchill PLM by the way. (If you need this information.) Thanks in advance for the help!
On the Creo 2D drawing, For the Sheetmetal fabrication BOM table, is it possible to show weight of each component and total final weight?
Hello Everyone, We are working on an assembly having lots of sublevels. While creating some relations , when try to "Insert" -> "From List" , it shows the error message "Requested filtered table exceeds the number of allowed rows.Re-edit the filter or cancel." Please help me to solve this issue. Regards
While creating a 2D drawing, how to achieve to have a default automated center line for oblong rectangle or hexagon
So a drawing that has been in our system for sometime has suddenly lost all the views on each sheet of the drawings. the views still appear on the drawing tree but on the page no view can be seen including dimensions and balloons.
Is it possible to create a custom hole file (.hol) for holes that are only drilled, not tapped? I'm trying to recreate a standard drill chart with our standard countersink sizes and hole callouts. For the life of me I cannot figure out if Creo will allow me to do this. I have a number of custom threaded hole files but this one is an enigma. What I have so far is attached. When I go to select a size from it, I just get a -1.000 for the diameter. Remove the .txt if using the file. Thanks..
How to add user desired symbols like Half moon Topic posted from under the tips section - https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Tips/How-to-Add-New-Symbols-to-the-Text-Symbol-Palette-in-Creo/ta-p/821114.
Long ago when I created UDFs for various holes, I could put the corresponding tolerance with the hole. When I showed my dimensions in the drawing, tolerances came over. I'm creating some new .hol files now but can't seem to figure out where to include any hole tolerance. Ex: If I pick a .250 dia hole from the dropdown, what I'd like to see in the model is .250 +.005 / -.001. Obviously I can add a tolerance later, but having it stored would help standardize things for our users Creo 8.0.0.0 Thanks..
Hello dear Community,I am a student having worked with Autodesk Inventor for a while but i am switching for a future employment. When trying to make a threaded hole i select ISO as the thread type and M20x2.5 as the size but then it spits out sizes like 0.6890 for the inner hole diameter wich is propably in inches, but since everything is set to mm it tries to make a hole for the thread thats just 0.689mm in size.Screenshot is attached aswell i couldnt find any solution via google / this forum but maybe i was just blind, if you could give me an answer or point me to an already existing Answer i would greatly appreciate it.Software: Creo Parametric Education Edition (Version 10 i belive)
I recently made some CDF-Live Simulations and thought that the particle animation is really slow.It turns out, when dragging or rotating the part the animation is fluid.GPU = 3080 ti also happens with 2070 Super, and 1660 TI MobileDrivers - Newest and i also tried the latest WHQL driversWin 10 and 11 I checked the Monitor and found that Creo (once the object stands still) lowers the refresh rate to about 3-5 FPS, (usually wanted) , but it also happened when a particle animation is running. When dragging the model the refresh rate jumps to the usual 250+ and the animation is smooth. I attached a short Video demonstrating the effect (sorry for the music and outro, i tried some presets)I searched quite some time for a config Option, but i didn't find much related to refresh rate or CFD-Live.The few Commands i found didn't solve the issueMFG Raimund
Hello all, I am trying to assign apperance to creo assembly or part using toolkit. Can someone let me know how can I assign apperance and also define the RGB value for appearance? TIA

Hi,I'm using Creo Parametric 6.0.5.1.Is it possible to have different system colors for modelling and drawing environment? In modelling environment, when I enable a section view, the contour lines of the part in the section plane are yellow. I can change this in options -> System appearance -> Letter, but then all text, dimensions and tables in the drawing environment are changed as well. I would like to have different "letter" color for the modelling and drafting environments. Is this possible, or is there another way? My workaround is to have mapkeys to quickly change the letter color to black and yellow, but it feels kind of impractical. Thanks in advance.K
Hi fellowsWe are using Creo Parametrics 8.xxx, Standard configuration metric, ISO. And we are creating our own tables for company standard holes. Question:Is there an option, to feed the hole feature with values out of the tables, to show a fractional number instead of a decimal number.Example:Rp 1/8 is the pipe thread 1/8" for holes with inner threads, If I select this threaded hole from the table in the dimension text menu it looks like: In the existing tables the value 9.73 is included and presented in the model or drawing with prefix Ø.The value 9.73 is the correct dimension, but I like to show the value 1/8 because this represents in combination with the prefix the right size of the threading tool .In the same time, the Prefix Rp should be written automatically to the prefix field of the hole feature's menu. Same as Ø for standard holes or M for ISO threads.Up to now we made this work around: But I don't like to manually entering such text into the dimension text me
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.1.0Tapered threads do not show up in the dialog box once I add a DEFAULT_CALLOUT_FORMAT_DATA to the hol.-file.The hol.-file has previously worked in Creo 8
Hello, I would like to ask questions about the Creo toolkit. Currently, I need to use the Arc operation on the toolkit at work. This operation will require the input of relevant parameters, such as origin, start_angle, end_angle, radius. What I want to ask about is start_angle and end_angle. For the definition of the two parameters, please read the relevant documents. The above description is as follows: start_angle: Angular parameter of the starting point,end_angle:Angular parameter of the ending point,I would like to ask if you can provide more detailed explanations or examples, such as whether the value of this angle belongs to "degree" or "radian"? And from which point does the calculation of this angle start and end? The above Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate 你好, 想請問 Creo toolkit 相關問題, 目前在工作上需要在 toolkit 上使用到 Arc 的操作, 該操作會需要輸入相關參數, 像是origin、start_angle、end_angle, radius. 想詢問的是 start_angle 以及 end_angle 這兩項參數的定義, 有翻閱相關文件, 上面的說明如下start_angle:
Hello, I am working in Creo 11.0.1.0. When making a drawing of a part, I am experiencing an annoying new feature of ordinate dimensions that I have not seen in previous versions (granted we just made a massive jump from Creo 3 to 11). Here is the scenario:In a drawing, I have an existing set of ordinate dimensions. These are placed on the righthand side of the drawing view. If I go to add an additional ordinate dimension referenced to the existing origin (.0000 dimension) the new dimension automatically cleans-up/aligns itself with the origin dimension. This seems like a handy feature on paper, but is very annoying if I want the new dimension to be placed on the lefthand side of the drawing view. This is especially true if I am placing multiple new dimensions and need to individually select them all to drag them to the other side.Is there a way to turn this feature off? In previous versions, the new ordinate dimensions would follow my cursor and not place unti
We are starting to use Creo Schematics and I found settings for a lot of directories, but they all point to my Creo working directory. Are there any example files for templates, formats and other items that are included with an OOTB install of Creo Schematics 9.0.0.0? Any help will be appreciated in setting up this system.
When will the current ISO 21920-1 surface texture symbols be included in Creo Parametric? According to research, the symbols were adjusted in the Creo 9.0 version (ISO 1302 and ISO 25178), but these have now been withdrawn.
