I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0Toolkit - VB API is used to build an application to change the dimensions of a Creo model. Hello,(I am not sure if this is the right place to post) I am running into an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in the Creoson server that I cannot reproduce consistently. Basically, I am working with a pipeline using creopyson to post JSON requests (via the JLink interface, if I understand correctly) to build each of multiple assemblies (e.g. 100s of assemblies, each containing 10s of components) in Creo 5.0.6, in succession (one after another). The command that is used to start the Creoson server is the following and is called from a .bat script before starting Creo and then starting a design automation python script that connects to the running creoson server using creopyson and sends JSON requests:"%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java" -classpath "%cp%" -Dsli.jlink.timeout=200 -Dsli.socket.port=%JSON_PORT% com.simplifiedlogic.nitro.jshell.MainServer"After some yet unknown conditions occur (I originally just thought it was the jlink timeout parameter causing the issue, but increasing this to e.g. 9000 did

Hello my friends, I need your generous help again.This is not exactly the toolkit issue, but of the possibilities of Creo Parametric itself. If you think that is the wrong place to rise it, please refer me to the right forum.So: I need to export out an .STL file from model. I use toolkit function ProIntfSliceFileWithOptionsMdlnameExport()which takes ProModel handle as parameter. It works perfectly fine, but I'm required to perform an export on several models at once. My question is how do I combine several models in one? I'm looking to the possibility of using Solid Bodies. Is this a right direction or you would recommend me any other approach?There is a one important thing I forgot to mention - all models of this are of the same geometry and belong to the same part or assembly. Thanks and BR-

I am using object toolkit C++. Even if I set "RowHighlight" property of table or use SetRowHighlight(true) the row isn't highlighted on selection of a cell in the row. Is there any trick I am missing?

Hi All, I have a requirement where I am developing a application which will be deployed to cloud PaaS or SaaS. I need this application to interact with the Creo Parametric and perform actions such as - retrieving and loading a design in a new Creo Session. My first though was to use JLink asynchronous method and deploy the code as Rest API. But this is giving issues related to loading libraries, which I can't seem to resolve. Please help with this requirement. It doesn't matter if this is done synchronously or asynchronously, I just need to establish some sort of connectivity from cloud to on-prem Creo. Thanks,Apoorva

When I ran the mark deprecated script from Creo 9 on my Creo 5 toolkit files, one of the suggestions I got was "Replace ProGtolDataGet with NONE." Is NONE a function? or is it telling me that it has no suggestion to replace this function with?

Is it possible to make a bolted connection of bolt, washers and nuts (not a sub assy) like in inventor. Then easily place it in mutiple locations with minimal constraint requirements to position.

Hello friends, We run ProSelect() in our extension, and want to make the ProSelect() function call return on demand using some kind of API. One thing I noticed is that the ProSelect() function call returns immediately after clicking Cancel on the select dialog, which makes me think that we may imitate such behavior using an API without the user actually clicking that button. Thanks for your answers.BR.

Hello Have four j-link synchronize apps developed in creo 2. Went to Creo 6 from Creo 2. Recompiled using the OTK.jar with java 6. Worked with no problem. With Creo 8 they failed to start. Recompiled the apps with Java 8 with the OTK.jar from creo 8. Still does not work they fail to start. Compiled install_test this app will not start.. The config in the folder otk_java_appls\install_test has this config "regen_failure_handling resolve_mode" is this needed? this config setting "jlink_java_command C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_333\jre\bin\java.exe" does not seam to do anything. Do not have it in my Creo 6 and it works. Peter

Hello all,   I am just starting to understand different customization options available with Creo and I have downloaded the user guides for it, I have found that, There are three user guides available on the PTC helps as mentioned below,   1. Creo Object Toolkit  (C Language)  2. Creo Object Toolkit (C++)  3. Creo Object tookit (java)   By seeing three different options for customization, I am not sure if all three has same functionality available or one of them is having more functions available for customization?   I have seen that the user guide for C Language is the longest around 2000 pages, and the C++ and Java both are around 800 pages.   To select which one to go for in future, I would like to know if all three are having same capabilities when it comes to automating Creo?   Those who are experienced users, please shed some light on this.   Thanks in advance. Hi again, Once again the newbie question. We want to develop an extension that depends on the ability to receive some basic info about the items clicked by our users (e.g. - id of the clicked element).  I see such info displayed by the system on mouse hover and on mouse click selection. Unfortunately, I did not found any documented API which notify me on this events.Do I understand right that no hooks are provided by API on the mouse events? How do you solve this standard situation? Thank you so much for your advise.
