I need to change the default diameter in the creation of the water circuit in EMX, in the options there is the entry WATERLINE_DESIGNER_DEFAULT_COMPONENT set like this:mm | meusburger | E2080_8_10 && mm | meusburger | E2000_13_14 && mm | meusburger | E2130_11_8_2_4 && mm | meusburger | HOLE_8, where I assume that HOLE_8 is an instance present in the HOLE.dat file, I should bring the default value to 8.5, in the file HOLE.dat I inserted a line with the name of the instance HOLE_8_5 but changing the options mm | meusburger | E2080_8_10 && mm | meusburger | E2000_13_14 && mm | meusburger | E2130_11_8_2_4 && mm | meusburger | HOLE_8_5 when I launch the creation of the circuit it always remains Ø8, something wrong?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0I am trying to post a boring sequence for a FADAL 3 axis VMC. I want the tool to bore the hole, stop at the bottom, back off the wall .100 then move up. From what it looks like in the posted program it doesn't seem to be doing this. I am setting the ORIENT_ANGLE to 0 and JOG_DIST to .100 in the parameters.
Hello everyone! I am trying to make strip from following part with all bendings and punch forms on it.When I try to prepare or fill article it doesn't flatten punch forms on bends.The bends with punch forms are also not affected. Is there any way to do that with punch forms or bends or is there a possibilty to select punch form locations later when doing strip? I am using CREO 6.0 and PDX 12.0 Thank you for your answers!
We just ran across the mfg_param_auto_copy_from_tool config.pro option, and it almost solves a problem for us...I just think it needs to have one more feature to it to actually be useful for our needs. I think it would be most useful for every Creo user if it were included as a popup window like you already have for this feature asking the user "Would you like to update sequence parameters by copying cutting data from tool ##?". Has someone discovered a way to put a list of tools and their dimensions used in an operation(s) at the head of a post? This way, the operator could check by reading the G-Code to make sure he/she has the machine set-up properly.

Hi So for my masterthesis I currently am testing the possibilities and restrictions with a 4-axis milling machine (Roland MDX-50 with a rotational A-axis). I am now trying to mill a football (or soccerball, I'll just call it "Ball" from now on) as you can see in the image below. Normally we do this on a 5-axis machine, but the goal is to see if the MDX-50 can realise this piece and how precise it will be. Image 1. Ball I already made some volume roughs (with a 6mm End Mill) and profiling steps (with a 2mm Ball Mill) on the top- and the bottom side. I can select both operations and ask to perform the Remove Material Simulation (as visible in Image 2). I’m relatively new to the option file generator (1 year). I’ve been using creo (pro engineer) for 25 years.I’m using #14 fadal VMC15 profile. I found that for a G18 (X-Z) plane certain G2 and G3 gcodes are mixed up when I export the tool paths.The rest of the gcode maintain the proper coordinate system direction. If I test the gcode with https://ncviewer.com/ the circles will show up upside downSo I’m looking for a setting that will swap G3 output for G2 output eventually switching the direction of the Y axis in the XZ plane (G18) I tried checking in/off the CIRCLE/cmd translation – among others with no avail. Hi,i want to try using the parameter "graphics Win32_GDI" to find a debug solution.When I start the Module Works on screen I don't see anything (Stock,Target,Fixture,Tools,ecc), but if there are any collisions they seem to get detected.Has anyone ever tried? I'm wondering if there's a better workflow available to export the profile of a flat part as a .dxf file for use with a water jet cutter/laser cutter/plasma cutter table. My current workflow is as follows:1) Model part and define a "Front" view normal to the plate that will be cut2) create new drawing in Creo3) select my drawing template which gives me the "Front" view I've established in the model at 1.000 scale4) File>Save As>Export5) Select .dxf and export6) open the new .dxf in my CAM software and remove the sheet outline I could cut down on my mouse clicks by using mapkeys, but before I do that I'm wondering if there's an elegant way to generate a clean .dxf. When I trialed OnShape you could just right click a flat surface and export it as a .dxf straight from the assembly which was very convenient.

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M100Edit Parameters Tools menu is missing options and the parameter list is abridged. There are tons of missing parameters in this particular manufacturing model. CL_DIST is a big one that my Post Processor uses and it has gone missing in the parameter list. Starting a new manufacturing file remedies the situation but I need to know how to fix the one that is already complete as there is a lot of work already done and starting over every time this happens is not a solution. I need to know how to correct this issue if it ever happens again. I did attempt to export the parameter list from a good model and open in the broken one but I receive a long list of errors stating not valid.
Hello,I have a problem of surface finish with a volume rough.The previous operation leaves 0.2mm of stock (walls and bottom) for the finish with my volume rough. I choose a spiral toolpath and i have sharp edges between each trajectory segments. In the real world this create micro stops of the servos of my milling machine and a very bad surface finish. So i decide to apply a radius with the option "Smooth_corner_radius = Max radius" and "Smooth_radius = 1" (End mill of 6mm diameter).The problem :The calculated trajectory miss some areas of my surface...Same problems with "constant_radius" and angle_radius" for "Smooth_corner_radius", smaller radius value and thinner "step_over". Some ideas ? Thanks in advance
The other day my (HAAS) machine crashed doing a G81 canned drill cycle. I'm not sure how to fix it, but I can't be the first to run into this issue. Hopefully one of you can suggest a reliable way to fix this. Here is what happened: I had a G19 in the program which changed to the YZ plane. But there were no circular movements in XY before the G81, so the post processor never added in a G17 code to change back to the XY plane. When the G81 was called, the drill cycle happened in the YZ plane instead of XY, which crashed the drill. Later, there was a circular movement, so the G17 code showed up there, but it was too late for my drill cycle. So apparently, the post processor doesn't realize that canned cycles are affected by the active plane. Is there a checkbox for this somewhere? Is there some better way to address this problem? Hello,Every time i select "constant load" on a rough sequence, Creo add a at the start of each trajectory a ramping. It is not a correct arc but a succession of straight segments. The huge problem is that in practice, during machining my milling machine moves jerkily and vibrates enormously to follow all the segments. With other types of scanning, i do not have this problem, the cut start on the right Z position. (Volume milling with cst load option = same problem) Rough with cst load : Rough with "Follow contour or spiral" Any idea to remove this "ramping" ? Thanks in advance.

Hi folks, In Creo NC, using Machine Tool Setup -> Parameter UI, I have edited the list of basic parameters visible in the "Parameters" list of NC sequence edition. Because it's quite a long list of basic parameters that I now have, I'm wondering if it's possible to customize the default size of the "Parameters" dropdown window in order to extend it downwards. See attached screenshot for visual.I prefer having a tall "Parameters" dropdown window rather than having to scroll the list to see all my basic parameters at once. Any pointers much appreciated.
Hello everyone, I am looking for a post-processor for the controller Siemens Sinumerik 828D. I have seen several posts about the Sinumeric 810D and 840D here in the community but none about the 828D. Can a post-processor for a generic Siemens controller be used for the Sinumerik 828D? or should I create an 828D-specific post-processor? Did someone develop a Sinumerik 828D post-processor?
