It happens from time to time (within week) that my Mathcad installation forgets the Server name in the License Setup Window. So I always have to correct the server location again and again. I don't have ever provided any "localhost" server, anyway it randomly shows up ...
When running the PTC Web Installation Assistant, once I reach the Application Selection step, there are no applications available for me to select to install.
I've seen a couple of PTC articles showing a symbolic solve block using a 'dummy' variable in the solve variable list (which isn't represented in the solve expressions). The examples involved inequalities. They use 't' and it appears needed to force a comprehensive result. I attach a file with two examples. Does someone know the intention, and interpretation, of this dummy variable?
Hello, I am trying to activate/transfer our Mathcad license to a new computer. After clicking "activate" in Mathcad Prime 3.1, it displays the correct MAC address of our new computer, but it is also asking me for a product code to complete activation. Where can I find the product code? Thank you.
I am trying to log in to Mathcad (through the desktop application itself) to activate my 30-day free trial so I can complete my homework, however it keeps telling me my credentials are incorrect despite me verifying them numerous times. Any reason this might be happening?
I've converted a MathCAD file into MathCAD Prime (ver. 7). For some reason the plot doesn't show. The functions appear to be working. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. (see attached screen capture) EDIT - attached Mathcad Prime document
I get an email asking how difficult it was to renew. I click the link - and I'm on a page where every thing is written in what looks like Chinese. I don't read or speak Chinese. The original email is written in English - so, how would it make sense to link a Chinese page? This is just lacking common sense. Oh, and I still don't have a license. Whatever.
I find the calculation options in 8.0 very constraining compared to 2001i Professional, which I had previously used for 20 years. In 8.0, if you don't enable "Stop all calculations," the program solves the entire worksheet every time a change is made in a subroutine. In 2001i in auto mode there was no action until you dropped down to the page using the subroutine- and even then it only executed down to that page. In 8.0 if you are converting several data files in the same program, it will execute all of them every time a subroutine change is made. This can mean significant finger twiddling. In the prior version, you could move back and forth from the subroutine to the first data set and optimize or modify the conversion process without the time penalty associated with processing the later cases. Or is there a work-around?
We are happy to introduce those two tools on the eSupport site! These tools are designed to quickly get you the information you need in one place without having to search for it. The Mathcad Installation Central Resource Page provides step by step instructions to perform common Mathcad tasks like New Installation, Download License File, and Configure Mathcad Application. These topics cover both locked license and floating license configurations. If you’re new to managing a Mathcad installation, the one-minute video on the landing page will explain the basics. The Guided Licensing & Installation Troubleshooter for PTC Products based on FlexLM is a one-stop-shop for the vast majority of problems and errors encountered when using a license server. Most FlexLM licensing errors have multiple causes. Within a couple clicks you can review the most common solutions for that specific issue. Many of these solutions have links that open a popup window for more detailed steps or a vi
Greetings, Across all industries, when we do math we often want to find the minimum or maximum point of a function. There are many ways, but the most reliable is to do it iteratively. I have built a function that does this. Attached is the function itself. Put it in a closed area at the start of your template so that you can always call it. The inputs of optima(f,x0,xf) are any single variable function "f", and the starting value "x0" and ending value "xf" of the domain of that function. It outputs the x value of the function at its maxima, the value at that x value, the x value of the minima, and the value of the function at its minima. It finds absolute maxima and minima of the function only. You can make a multivariable function be single variable by defining a new function of a single variable, where the other inputs are all constants. For example, f(x)=g(x,c1,c2,c3) This is the interesting part: To make it run quickly but still get a precise answer, I split the proc
I can't open mathcad right now, it's was no problem before to day

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I have set of formulas with a units. If I change the unit on the result of the first formula the following formulas are loosing their unit. Here are the errors that I facedNo error message or warning. Inconsistent results.
Please have a look at the following example-function:If I want to plot this function with Newton (N) on the y-Axes and Millimeters (mm) on the x-Axes, the following happens:Unfortunately my Mathcad Prime 8.0 is in German, but the error is the following:Plotting failed. Replace complex Values or NaN-values with real numbers. Also you can see that it replaces mm with mm / m. If I erase the units out of the fuction like this:Then it will work, as you can see here: Does somebody know how I can fix this, so that I do not have to erase the units from my function?I will leave the mathcad-document attached here.GreetingsSpedex
HelloIm not able to activa my trial version anymore. The message, when i login is the following:"You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type"I have tried to unistall an reinstall it many times now.Is it posiible for you to help me?
I have MathCAD PTC 7.0.0.0 (already installed)I have a license file (already generated) How do I connect MathCAD to that license file? Other software that I use usually has some type of built in license management - so, in those scenarios, you open the application and then point that application to that license file. Please respond
Today, PTC Mathcad product manager Andrew McGough announced the Mathcad Scripted Control design Working Group: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad-Scripted-Control-design/gh-p/mathcadscriptedcontroldesign Space is very limited, and active participation and attendance in discussion is required to join. PTC aims to implement scripted controls in PTC Mathcad Prime 10, based on the feedback we receive from this Working Group.Even if we don't have room for you in the Working Group, you may still contribute your ideas for scripted controls in Mathcad Prime via the Mathcad Ideas board: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad-Ideas/idb-p/PTCMathcadIdeas

Hi Experts, I am a beginner to use Mathcad.and I have a question about the flow chart. Please see the below figure, I can do the below figure by using Matlab, but I am confused about how to use Mathcad to do the same thing, can someone give an example of how to do it, thanks.
I have a 4 row vector (A) and a 2 row vector (B) and I want to multiply the 1st two row elements of (A) each by the first element of (B) and the 3rd & 4th row elements of (A) each by the 2nd row element of (B). I want to do this element by element to give me a 4 row vector at the end. It's made more complicated by the fact the numbers of rows in both vectors can change although (A) will always have twice the number of rows as (B). I thought of trying to match the number of rows in (B) to (A) so I can simply multiply the two but not sure how to go about this. Any help appreciated.
at the stage of "obtaining a license" it was written "Program ID already expired". What can I do about it?
Hi, Everyone. From the following: Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
Hi, Everyone. From the following: How to join 4 Patches, the above, into one Mathcad structure ? (or reverse: "split" ?) Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
I am using Mathcad Prime 6.0 6.0.0.0Dear Support,I have downloaded the C# WPF project for using the API Mathcad (https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r7.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help%2Fexample-2_ms_dev_studio.html%23) but it does not work (Problem to connect Mathcad Prime).I'm using Prime 6.0.Is this version compatible with your API ?ThanksRegards,IrénéeHere are the errors that I facedex.Message = "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {A00E8B95-D415-433F-A04E-D298A54A7BB7} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))."
I've paid for my license - but, I cannot retrieve the license. The link in the renewal email is bad (no license when clicking link). Then, I was sent a 43 page PDF document on how to set up your license - I followed those instructions - but those instructions are incorrect. No license. I'm in contact with Subscription Manager and the Credit & Collections Administrator - via email. I hope they will be proactive in helping me - but, at the same time I'm not expecting that level of service from PTC. I've also created a ticket of some kind - although, I'm not sure if the ticket actually got created or not - I'm just not sure. All other software that I purchase will provide a direct link to a license file, activation, or a license file will be sent directly to me in an email - and, typically, it takes about 5 minutes of your time. In stark contrast is PTC's hyper convoluted and dysfunctional license scheme.
