Mathcad

Hello,   Just curious if anyone has had any success deploying Mathcad Prime v6.0 using SCCM. If i install it manually from a command prompt it installs just fine. If i deploy it using SCCM, setup.exe continuously runs (Never completes) but nothing gets installed. I have checked all of the usual stuff, event logs, av logs but nothing is being reported.   Thank you,   Steve

Hi I am wondering, if it is somehow possible to directly change a global variable inside a program block like a call-by-reference function call. Right now this is my work around:1. The global variable is assigned to a local variable with same name.2. The local variable is changed as desired3. In the end the local variable is returned and assigned again to the global variable. However as I am working with large matrices (sometimes even matrices containing matrices) I would expect a faster running program, if I got rid of the copying forth and back.Cheers Pascal

Need help to reinstall Mathcad 15 or repair existing installation.

Hi All,I have an s-curve equation that uses cosine. Any trigonometric function is allowed but I can't use exponential or logarithmic equations as they don't perform to what is required. The cosine equation works great for certain settings but for others, I need to mirror it using the existing coordinate points; I need to mirror the ess while using the same coordinate points. I've tried a few ways but I can't have the equation switching its location to a different quadrant. The attached mcad_pic1.png shows the equation, the current s-curve in red, and the needed s-curve in green. Please help me to find a variation of the current equation or a different trigonometric equation that will enable the green s-curve.Thank you. Gary

8.0 version license issue. We do have a product code but is not recognized by your issue logger. We are trying to install a license on a remote server and it would seem we need a different type of license as we are getting "Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a Windows Terminal Services guest session" message. How do we obtain the correct type of license?

According to some web tutorials, I have tried to solve the equations system you can find in the attached figure.I want to solve the system in order to find variables x and e. All the other variables are defined (you can see defined values also for e and x, they are guess values according to tutorials). I am not able to find out what is my mistake, if I click on "sol" I see the error "This variable is undefined". You find also the Mathcad file attached. Can someone help me? SincerelyStefano Grandi

I would like to know if anybody had attampted to do the Monte Carlo simulation using Mathcad Prime? I know the capability exists in Mathcad 15 however since Prime is a different product I'm not sure if it is available.Thanks,Margaret

Can someone please convert this attached .xmcd file to .mcdx for me? I switched from Mathcad 15 to prime 3.0 but the student license we have doesn't give us the converter feature on Prime 3.0.    Many thanks, Jay

To allI am dealing with a formula and I am hoping that the more mathematically inclined among you might be able to clarify something for me. On the attached mcad 15 file there is a formula for a mode indicator function. I am still trying to source the original reference but in the meantime I thought I ask the question.Could anyone tell me how the sum on the numerator works? Is the formula saying that one has to sum over the entire vector?  Thanks in advanceRegards

Hello PTC Community, I have switched form Mathcad15 to Mathcad Prime 5.0.0 but I am unable to add subscripts in text blocks when using the Prime version. Has the feature been removed from the Mathcad Prime versions?

Dear All, I hope you are doing well. I am new to MathCAD and am trying to solve simultaneous equations using the least-squares method, however, every time I input the equations the variable is not recognised, even when I state the values one by one.  I am attaching my work. If you help me it would be much appreciated.

Good morning I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me with a monte carlo simulation problem. The function I wish to use has a root within it, which gives me an error. As soon as I remove the root from the function and use the rest of the equation, as my function it works, but obviously giving incorrect results. Ive attached the baisc problem, if anyone can helpThanksRichie

I installed Mathcad prime 8 to use on a free trial. I try to open it, and the plash screen comes out with the logo, but it stays like that and the program doesnt actually open. Also the same happens to the prime 7 version

I did a few google searches and couldn't find a documentation for the API or any resources other than this forum. I'm just wondering if you guys can help me point to some places? I would like to use API to change/define variables values(string and fraction) that occur at the very beginning of my calculation sheet. Also, sometime I will calculate some values in the middle of my calculation sheet but might need to redefine it later in the same file.How can I do these? Could someone point me in a direction. When I try to calculate the cross product of two three element vectors I get an error message on the first vector"This value must be a 3-element vector".  I am using Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0. I have tried the same thing on 7.0.0.0. I have changed the vector and matrix index Origin to from 0 to 1. Jack Smith, Katy TX `
