Mathcad

PRIME 6   Weird bug. I want to create a new matrix where the new second column is a list of integers giving the row index,   If the original vector of values contains units then the second column is always set to 1.   if i non-dimensionalize i get the expected result but it is of no use as i have lost the units.      

Hi,   I recently upgraded from Mathcad v15 to Mathcad Prime 6.0 (work related, not by choice).   I have converted my old v15 files to Prime using the tool, but it resulted in a bunch of differences (see attached Conversion Log image).  Most seemed minor editorial but there were a bunch of unsupported calculations which after reviewing seem to be limited to components no supported by Prime: Combo Boxes and Radio Buttons (See attached example image from my v15 file).   From searching online and on this forum I have learned that Prime decided not to implement these useful functions for some unknown silly reason.  So what I am hoping to find here is anybody who can help me with some replacement options that do exist in Prime that can provide the same functionality.

I'd like to implement some form of decibels in Mathcad. No matter how I try I cannot get Mathcad Prime to create something that looks like that inverse function. (The CTRL+SHIFT+K approach recommended in the second link doesn't work in Prime.) The closest I've gotten is when I got the Mathcad error message "Unknown error: no_inverse_declared."Is there any way to create an "inverse function" in Prime?

  Hi everyone, In my reactor design with Mathcad, I am getting an  error in "tend" part of the design which says "divide by zero" when I click on "tend" and therefore I am not able to see the changes in temperature and conversions with the changes in volume. Although I checked several times to see whether there is any zero value in the denominators or not, I couldn't find any. I would be super happy if you can help me with it. Hello,    I'm trying to recreate a student's work presented in a paper and I just can't seem to get it to work. I've gone through as many of the posts here on this issue as I can but don't see many of the common errors (incorrect equal sign etc). Occasionally i'll see a stray typo and fix it, but I think may have been staring at this too long to see what's wrong with it.    Error message is "Too few initial conditions". Mathcad doesn't seem very flexible in trying to track down erros like this.   I really appreciate your time and assistance,   - T  

Hello, I want to change an existing Mathcad scheme of solving to another described in a flowchart.    I cannot.   I attached the Mathcad file where I try, and also the Flowchart that I want to implement.    

Good afternoon,   I have a multi-column txt file. I want to perform an operation on two fields. Each of them has the following layout: number/number (eg. 4/5 or 4/5). I need to extract the first character from both of them and then add (eg 4/5 and 4/6 ==> 4 + 5 = 9) The problem is that MathCAD 15 reads the field as mathematical operation and gives me 1.0 or some fraction. How could I import it as a text, pick two characters, convert to INT and then get the result?   The second issue with the data is that some parameters are given only every 4th row, not each of them (eg. needed PDOP). I need to perform a simple statistic analysis (mean, stdev, min, max, med). As the columns with data (eg. PDOP) have empty rows I cannot do it.   I would be very grateful for your help. Perhaps @WernerE or @Werner_E  would have some advice for me. 🙂   Please find attached MathCAD worksheet and a sample of my datafile.

As the title states I am trying to solve 4 equations simultaneously for unknowns.   I would like to solve for SM, KM, and RM.    I tired all sorts of things and now here I am, admitting I need help.

I am attempting to insert a file as reference inside another file. My undersatnding is that if I change a value in the reference file that value is automatically transferred to the other file. I do not fine that this occurs. The only way I get files to update is to go through the entire insert===> reference process again. Am I missing something ? I am attaching the files in question. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Community,   as the Subject Title already refers to my question: How can i remove the last used file in Mathcad Prime 5.0?I've searched in the registry similiar to Mathcad 15.0 but unfortunately something like that does not exist? Is there a function/setting or something like that? I´ve added a screenshot of the mentioned last used files which i want to remove.   Would appreciate every helpful answer related to the topic.   TY

Hi,         I need to write a program to compare two matrices and eliminate non-identical rows. For example, please see attachment. In this case Matrix B can only contain numbers found in Matrix A. I need to compare each value of A with B and output values of B that matches with A (in the same order). Problem is some of the numbers in A do not appear in B and therefore, I am not able to use the match function. I would greatly appreciate any help.   Thanks.

Hello,   I am doing this exercise about a combined cycle where some of the enthalpies are known.  The problem is when i try to solve the system the error "This variable is undefined" constantly appears. I have tried both of the systems i know about describing the solution:     Solution:=Find(x1,...) and (x)                                        (y)  :=Find(x1,...)   Hope there is solution. All, I did install the German version for Mathcad 15 M050. Starting the application I can only choose the English language. The German language is not present in the list to select in Tools>Preferences>Languages.

From my (very limited) experience, in the (if, while) loop, Mathcad doesn't allow := but only <-. I was just wondering how are they differ from one another.   Thank you!

Hi All- I am attempting to model the first-order change of A --> B. The little programming loop below does the transformation of A to B in time steps of n just fine. The problem is I cannot view the A vs time data as is shown in the MathCAD document below. I know there are many other ways to solve this simple system, but getting this little programming loop to solve the problem is my goal.

Is there a way to fix this? I have a single-very large size of matrix(10 pages) and when I do anything within this matrix, it will start lagging.
