I am back to use MathCAD. Doing with MathCAD Prime 6. I am taking my own self-faced training. I have a hard time to get this plotting done. I request someone help me. Sample attached. Pl. help. Thanks.    

I am trying to resolve a problem with the function on page 3. It worked in other files I've tried to use this function in but it always seems to mess up for some reason or another.

Hi to allI am trying to extract values from an array named DATA and look them up in another called Table_1, and then do operations.By manually entering the row and variables of the DATA array, I get what was expected, but when I want to do it automatically, and have the data array be extracted and compared row by row, I don't get the expected results. I attach the spreadsheet with the exercise. I hope you can help me.

Hi, I am trying to solve the following double integral equation in Mathcad (Equation 17 extracted from tech paper). see bottom of attached Mathcad sheet. I get an "a name is required here" error when using the d(sin(q)2) i.e "d sine squared" in the differential. Can I use this d(sin(q)2)? Is there a trick to getting the syntax correct? We usually present results graphically, and XY plots are by far the most common format. Prime's XY plots really are garbage, so bad that they make our best work look amateurish. We users are professionals and this nonsense damages our reputations.What could PTC have been thinking, to release something like this as a product? Before I detail the horror, I have to acknowledge that PTC did make a couple of improvements: another line type (-...-...) and the ability to have more than two marker lines on the axes. I was glad to see them. Welcome as they were, though, they were far outweighed by the bad decisions.Some listed below. Anyone care to add to the list?* No boxed axes, no grid lines. The point of a graph is to display quantitative relationships within data. Prime XY plots don't support quantitative display because readers can't easily read values from the traces without grid lines or at least boxed, ticked axes on both sides. FIX IT!* No legends for the traces! This is weird, since

When Mathcad 15.0 opens it uses "Normal" as the default template. Is there anyway that a different template can be used as the default upon startup?

I am looking for solution how to fix this issue. I use Mathcad 15 to produce the documents in it. As front page in this document there is embedded Word document. Recently I lose this front page very often. In this situation when I open Mathcad document I always get an error message. I have noticed the first page is saved but it can not be open for some reason (I recognize it for Mathcad file size). I had this issue for long time but some time ago I found the solution for it. After opening Word in Mathcad I went to File menu and I did inspection of document and after finding some unneeded marks or other object and after removing them I could always open Mathcad document without loosing the first page. But situation has recently worsen after Microsoft has updated their Office applications and I now the most time I lose the first page I can not do anything with it. Has anyone heard about this issue and maybe someone knows the solution for it? I will appreciate for any help.  

I have a function where in a form of f(x):=1*x+3. I was trying to use clear(..) function to this clear the this function[clear(f(x)] like I do with the rest of the variables. But then MathCAD gave me error red box around the and said "A variable name is required here". What exactly happens here and is there a way to fix it? Thank you!

Hello, In Prime, I have a plot entrapped inside a solve block. It cannot be dragged out. Any help and/or suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Anousheh

Hello,   I am returning using Mathcad Prime after a hiatus, and I have a simple system of equations to solve for. The system will become more complex with more output variables, but I want to incrementally build into those relationships.  Initially, I want to solve for Fact in terms of the other variables.  This could clearly be re-arranged algebraically by hand, but I would like Mathcad to do it.  However, it will not solve. Any ideas? I have clearly missed something obvious.

I have successfully optimized a function (Rosenbrock) under the constraints -5<=x<=5 and -5<=y<=5 but I want to see the values that each iteration produced and how they change in response to my initial guess value. I cannot figure out how to get the trace command to output all the iteration values, it only shows the final solution. I backtracked to MathCAD 15 to have access to the debug window but if anyone can help me in MathCAD 15 it would be very much appreciated. Or if anyone knows how to display iterations in a solve block for constrained multivariable optimization in MathCAD Prime 5 that would also help and I've attached that version also. Thanks

Hello, Hope everybody is well and safe. It is easy to swap min and max values on x-axis in a plot in MathCad 15. However, I could not do this in Prime. (It can be done in "Chart Component" but not when utilizing "Plots" Tab). The file is attached. Thanks for help and time. Anousheh

Question 1 -For solving nonlinear equations I use AdamsBDF solver. However, varying the number of discretization intervals (controlled by the variable "intvls") results in solutions quite different from one another. How can one determine the optimum number of intvls. I tried it by plotting the solutions by increasing the number of intervals till the two successive solution produce the same result. Is there any other way to find the optimum number of intervals? Question 2 - In oscillation problems, I am interested in knowing only the time required for a pendulum to reaach equilibrium (theta =0). I do not want to get the entire solution but am interested only up to when the soultion reaches zero the first time. This is when the initial value of angle theta from vertical axis is given and I wish to find when it reaches zero the first time. How do I do this?Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I can plot graph involving "Gamma" function in MathCad 15, but in Prime, either nothing happens or it gives error message saying that "This must be a real number".
