Hello, Can I have units in contour plot? I mean, i have stress function for example: σ=σ(x,y) x=[m] y=[m] σ=[MPa]
Hi, I met a little problem and hope for your help. How to overcome this behavior without manual intervention? MC15 File is attached
I am having issues solving a second order ODE because i need to force 3 boundary conditions, 2 for the starting point and one for the last one. I am forced to do this because otherwise the solution is incorrect so i can just obtain a solution with the correct derivative in 0 or the function with the correct value in 0. Of course if i enable all the three conditions mathcad says to me i have too many initial conditions but the problem is they are equally fundamental to obtain the correct solution. I will attach a picture also. Do you know how can i force a third condition solving a second order ODE? Or in general how to force much more conditions than the ODE order? thanks in advance.
i was working to solve this for submission and now the professor asked to submit it in mathcad 15 format.it is a small file, can someone do the favor please. i am stuck.
Can someone point me to the user guide to use the NEW API in Mathcad prime 3.1The help system mentions that the user guide is available but does not give a link to it, does not give an online help to it. Also, it seems to implt that you have to pay for teh API!!!!If so this is ridiculous. 3.1 is advertised as having an API as part of its features!!!Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks
Hi, how can I enter the perpendicular sign into a formula? I've tried following the below instructions but I cant copy the sign into the equation. https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help%2Fto_insert_characters_using_the_character_map.html%23wwID0EP3AO
Hi all! When saving a 25MB mathcad file, Windows creates a temporary file with a name whose first three letters are MFC followed by 4 hexadecimal digits and 0MB size. When the saving is finished, it is automatically deleted. Moreover, if during the saving (which takes several minutes) the operation is disturbed in some way, it happens that the content of the original file is reset and stored in the new MFCXXXX file of the TEMP type, which, then, results unrecoverable. If you open this MFCXXXX file with a text editor, you can access the file. Wanting to recover the file, what are the changes to be made to the opened file with a text editor, and how to change its extension and then save it again with the xmcd extension? Is it possible? Currently I save the files with the name of my liking to which I add the date of the day, so that, if I lose the file, I always have the copy of the previous day. I ask the question in case I want to recover the lost file in the aforementioned way.
Hello Friends, I am trying to plot something as attached below. Where v2 is a function of v1 and varies according to third variable k. v1 is given by an equation as : Now as for programming purpose, v1 equation is given as But when I am trying to solve the equation using root of function k, v1 as for v2, it produce an error that end points of interval must be of opposite signs. Whereas, v2 value can not be in negative as shown in graph above. I have assigned rang from 0 to 4 as mentioned in vertical axis of graph. Can anyone please explain or tell me why I am getting this error and how to solve this problem. Thanks !!
Hi everybody, I have very large scripts (150 pages) in Mathcad 15 and it is sometimes very hard to find the error in the script. Moreover, some calculated values do not influence the rest of the calculations and I might not even notice that there is an error somewhere. Is there a value that I could read out which indicates that an error has occured somewhere in the script? Preferably, I would like to have an indication at the end of the script which shows that no calculation ended in an error. Is that possible? Thank you for your help!
Dear all, I would like to plot a histogram with text on the x axis. Moreover I would like to perform a calculation without repeating the formula many times. The two points are highlighted in the attached mathcad file. Thank-you very much for your support. Best Regards. Enrico
Hi, I'm fairly new to Mathcad. Trying to plot the solution to a differential equation but I can't seem to get it working. I've attached the necessary files. Thanks!
Hello! I just installed Mathcad Prime 5 on my computer two days ago and started working on a file. The first two days it was working perfectly, but today when I tried opening the file I got an error message stating that the type of file is not supported. I haven't made any updates since working on the file yesterday. I still need the content of the file and I am also wondering why this happened. I have attached the file. I am new to using Mathcad and I am hoping that someone can help me. (I am working on a MacBook with Windows running via Bootcamp). Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, my colleagues and I are trying to solve a dynamic problem. We had to plot this graph by using column vectors for each parameter. So each angle (alpha_B; alpha_C, alpha_zyl ) in this plot is shown as a function of alpha_H1.Now we want to figure out how the mathematical function of these plots roughly looks like. Is there any quick operation we can use that shows us how the functions alpha_B (alpha_H1); alpha_C(alpha_H1) and alpha_zyl(alpha_H1) look like?Best regards from Germany!Have a great week!
Hello, I really appreciate it if someone can help me to double check the following equation by running my sheet in their Mathcad. I attached my sheet. This time, I use different formula from my previous post here. In the mean time, I am writing matlab code to double check as well. I run my sheet, it took so much time with my pc and at the end it show error. The formula to compute:

Every so often, MAthcad 15 surprises me!
Dear All, I'm using Mathcad Prime to solve an electronics problem. I want to calculate the potential difference between node p and n. I have equations for Vp and Vn. However I cannot solve Vp-Vn without having Vp or Vn in the result? In Mathcad 15 this is simply done with "given-find" structure, but this isn't present in Mathcad Prime?
I really appreciate it if someone can help me to double check the following equation by running my sheet in their Mathcad. It is because the result that I got is the opposite with the result in the paper where the equation comes from. The decreasing result at small w comes from this part. This is my sheet. The original paper: https://journals.aps.org/prb/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevB.61.14215 The equation from the paper (phi and psi should be the same): the expected result (solid line):
hi all, title (hopefully) says it all. I have several data sets. Each one will be fit the to the same fit function and the sets will share some, but not all, of the fit variables. I have a clumsy attempt at this in the attached sheet (Prime 4.0 along with excel data). I basically use "minimize" to minimize a standard error expression which has several fit expressions in it (one for each data set). The problem is that the resulting fit values are nearly identical to the initial guesses! I've tried reducing the TOL but that doesn't help. cheers, blake
Hi, I want to buy Mathcad Prime SDK / API License to develop a windows based application. May i know the cost and link to buy it online? Regards, Ashish
Hey guys, I'm new in Mathcad and I'm doing my thesis now. I have some trouble finding how to do iteration in Mathcad. So in my file, I have a reactor of 250 m. And I want to know how the concentration changes. But, I want the simulation to run for >1 cycle. Which means I have to define a way to make the Cout (concentration out) from previous cycle, as a value for the Cin(2) concentration in of the next cycle. These are for both liquid and gas concentration. So in summary I want to make a loop of : COlin (x+1) = COlout (x) COgin (x+1) = COgout (x) + COgin (x) Help guys 😞 Thank you in advance
Mathcad Prime integration with Windchill and Creo. (view in My Videos)
Is it possible to associate mathcad's parameters with Windchill attributes in a way similar to associate windchill properties to the parameters of a mechanical CAD?
