Dear all? I'd like to have some deeper / practical information on SVD function. From theoretical lectures it seems to me that Singular Value Decomposition could me a useful tool to tackle ill-conditioned matrix in eigenvectors search for homogeneous linear system. It appears also that SVD can solve a variety of problems; that does not help that much me as explanations are often at a too "high level"..... The material in MathCAD help is, sorry to say, in the same league: too abstract...I had also a look to the only one post on similar subject, and again sorry not so easy to be adapted to my problem (not so specialized by the way...) Could you:1) confirm me that what I've understood from theoretic is reasonably correct 2) give a more workable example: for example the search for eigenvectors (linked to eigenvalues) for a linear system 4 equations in 4 unknowns (using the MathCAD SVD algorithm)? Good morning everyone!I've been using Mathcad (now M15) for decades, but I've never seen an error like this. Could it be because I only have 4GB of RAM? I'm really not sure what to do. Thanks to anyone who can give me some good advice.Regards.  

I'm using the "include" function to bring in variable values into work sheet.  I would like to bring in variables from a second work sheet.  I'm not always interested in the values of those variables but the expression in the worksheet that defines the variables.  Problem is that the variables are from a set template but the sheet maybe from a different project. Is there a way to concatenate or suffix the variables from the second sheet within the sheet where the include function is used separately of each sheet? As an example, Z1MP from sheet one could be defined as 85%*Z1L or a number with units.Z1MP from the second sheet may or may not be defined the same.  So I would like to bring in the value or better yet, the explicit expression and rename Z1MP from the second sheet as say Z1MP2..   Maybe explicit representation of the second sheet is reaching too high and I have to settle for the numerical value of Z1MP2  

I'm echoing values from another work sheet using the Include function.  I want to show a variable equal to the original value but not evaluated to a number.  SYNC bus:=VAZ I gather that I need to use symbolics.  Can't find the right combination of modifiers.

Hi all, I am trying to obtain the equation of a line (p'/p=1.0, the top line) from this image of the graph. The graph is in log scale and I have no reference to the original source of the graph, hence have no equation for it. Is there anyway to use Mathcad to obtain an equation. I am using Mathcad prime 9.           Hi, I want to reproduce a plot like below:

I have a ratio based on two variables: e' and d. If this ratio is larger than a condition, I want to assign d' to d and then recalculate the ratio. I want to keep the same variables; I just want the value of d' assigned to d and the ratio above recalculated. Is this possible? I have attached the sheet.

I have a loop with two conditions in it, none of which are satisfied.I created a variable 'a' and defined it as zero, and inside the loop, I made it change 'a' to 1 if the If conditions are satisfied. as shown in the figure below, a is still zero after the loop, meaning the conditions are not satisfied. However, the vector y4 is modified even though it only has equations to modify it inside the same conditions for variable 'a', which is unchanged:what am I missing here?I attached the file. Hi allI'm at the start of the free trial period.  i have the converter installed and have tried to convert files.  The converter acts like the files are converted and sent to the source folder but the conversion does not take place.  I cant access other support so hope you can help - thanks

Suppose that we will sample this signal at 4 time per second (fs=4Hz) from t=0 to t=3/4. Hello, I have a Mathcad sheet which I am working on to find the factor of safety for block walls. The sheet will calculate and spit out a text "Stable", "Unstable" based on a comparison , which I have provided in the logic. What I request to have is a Mathcad prompt, that checks the array FS_OT to see how many "UNstable" are there. If so, it should send out a message saying "UnStable" and tell me at which level of the layer of blocks are unstable. Please help on this as I am not that pro level. My Mathcad version is Prime 10. This is not an error issue so no screenshots were provided. Thank you very much

Hello, I'm having a hard time understanding units in Mathcad. I'm trying to plot an axial capacity vs depth after integrating the Axial_cap function with different depth. It works without when i have no units, but it shows an error : "These units are not compatible". I don't understand what's the problem.

Provide a trial license file or give instructions to activate the software without a key
