Can I install mathcad or Prime 3.1 on S.O wondows 10 ?

I am trying to program a basic Otto engine cycle and am having difficulty with states 2-3. Between these states, I need to have a numerical method that calculates a new pressure based on the old pressure and relationships with known values and constants. The independent variable is crank angle (theta). I've attached a working copy of the worksheet as well as some notes depicting the logic.I've attempted to use theta as both a vector index and range variable but haven't been successful.  Thank you in advance.

Hello to all,I am trying to solve an improper integral where the variables after integration are matrices 1xn. if I calculate the integral for just one individual components, the integral calculation will work.if I try to calculate to obtain all the points it will not.Due to the amount of variables references that are associated with the integrand, I put here a pdf file showing that is happening.and the error that appears on the one with the column matrix is "Encountered a function error.Regards,Rogelio

HiI'm trying to make a listbox where the options are dependent on another variable in my worksheet. If my variable n.sec is smaller than 3, I want the list box to only have the option "N/A". Otherwise I would like it to display a list of options.I'm having a hard time understanding the vb script language, and haven't been able to find a simple tutorial to get me started in using it in mathcad. I hope someone can give a solution to my problem, which I believe must be pretty simple, but I just can't crack.Thanks in advanceOle

The problem is of this form:The problem is that at the point y=1 i have a discontinuity and I dont even know where the problem is. . Im am trying to solve an exercise with Levy's theory for plates which is a Single Sine Series. As it is described in the books, i have to use a load pm(y) , with m=1,2,3,...M, but as a function of y. I will try to illustrate it in the following figure and also i will upload the file that I'm trying to create. It is in Mathcad 15. I hope i'm clear enough because it is a bit difficult since i don't have it clear enough myself, unfortunately.

Dear all I have a problem when open a worksheet in mathcad prime 3. When I try calculus appear "Mathcad has stopped working". Before, the program worked well. Please some ideas. Thanks, Luis.

One of my students thinks he's found where PTC offers Prime 3.1 to students without expiring in 30 days.  As far as I know, he's talking about Express.  He says it still works, more than 30 days after being downloaded, but I think he's misunderstanding.Does PTC offer any kind of download for college students other than Express?  I was able to generate some enthusiasm today in class with an impromptu Mathcad demonstration.  They even asked for an additional Mathcad help session outside of class and asked where they could download it, but the interest waned when I told them they would have to pay for it after 30 days.  The same old problem.

I'm under the impression, perhaps false, that there are many published ebooks on the PTC website. Can't find them. Where are they?

My assignment requires me to use genfit to fit this plot. However, it keeps saying that the variable "y" needs to be defined as a vector of real numbers, which it is. Not sure why it keeps saying this error and I do not know what to do. Any suggestions? I believe it may be a issue with the software.

Hallo liebe Community,ich versuche mich an  der Programmierung eines Tools für meine Masterarbeit.Dabei ist die grobe Idee, einen Pfahl im Boden durch  dynamische Bodenschwingung anzuregen. Der Boden wird über eine gedämpfte harmonische Funktion in  Schwingung versetzt, es ergibt sich als Eingangsgröße ein Matrix(i-Knoten des Pfahls in der Tiefe, j-Zeitschritte).Diese ist wiederum mit der Differentialgleichung des Balkens verknüpft.Mein Ansatz ist eine differentielle Form.Leider bin ich etwas überfordert mit der Syntax, da ich Mathcadfrischling bin.Mein Hauptprogramm(Unterpunkt 6) schreibt mir immer wieder Fehler im Bereich der Zuweisung heraus, vll kann mich ja jemand mal unterstützen.Gruß Peter

Please check the sheet attached.If I use the max-function on a matrix filled with strings, it returns a result.If I use the same function on a column of the matrix, it gives an error ("These values must all be of one type")If I assign the column of the matrix to a new variable, but don't evaluate and then use the max function on the new variable it errorsIf I assign the column to a new variable and evaluate, then use the max function, it gives a resultIf I write a little program and search the max of a column with different values, it errors but in the same program, if I search the max of a column (transpose of a row in this case) with identical values, it doesn't error.Can anybody explain this inconsistent behaviour?

A dozen years ago,  Mathsoft.com (see Waybackmacine) listed a section of mathcad-related books. I counted around 40+, around half or more in the last 5 years (2000-05).I recall, distinctly, that there were at that time many websites with mathcad tutorials, showing and offering .mcd files to download and learn. Calculus, differential equations, economics  had their mathcad experts that offered plenty of inspiring work.Now there is very little left, and that little is often just a fraction of the material that was created and made available more than ten years ago. So the landscape nowadays looks very different, unfortunately. I hardly recall 1 book about mathcad (Prime or not), in the last five years or so. I came across recently with the resources of one of the most popular authors of math textbooks (ronlarson.com). He makes available resources and files for mathematica, maple, matlab. But nothing about mathcad, even if  it seems a much better tool for  tutorial pur
