Hi,I have simple equation with the two constant one Positive integer and other negative integerand I have Integrated this integer as a matrix along the length of the section. So that the start point is the positive integer and end point is the negative integer. But for some reason I am not getting the values.Could some one find the error. Please find the Math Cad Sheet & the PictureThanks,BR,J.Randeep
The video shows a simulated annealing algorithm finding the global minimum of a function with many local minima. It takes less than a tenth of a second to do this. Due to the limitation of 999 frames in a Mathcad animation the video only shows about the last third of the minimization (the first two thirds are of course a lot more random, and the candidate solutions are at higher points on the surface). Ten iterations are shown in each frame See here for the worksheet: Minimizing a Function using Simulated Annealing and here for another video: Video Link : 6848 (view in My Videos)
I have only one TRUE unknown in my set of equations, so I COULD write my Solve Block like this:However, for presentation, I prefer write my equations out as shown below: How to best write my Solve Block using the variable definitions above?ThanksKevin

Hi all,I hope this is the right sub-forum to post this address.I am trying to make use of some Mathcad in-built capabilities, like for instance the Minimize or Maximize function. Please have a look at the attached file. I have some functions defined there which ultimately are used inside the final function called Function1 (blue background). For Function1, I want to apply the mathcad defined Minimize function, which needs the variation intervals for the variables of the function to be defined (along with guess values). I can do that OK, and I do get a relevant result when applying the Minimize function on Function1 (the result consists of the variables values, within the defined interval for each variable, for which Function1 will be minimum). I store this result in the variable called "Result" and then I compute the value of the Function1 function with the elements of the "Result", aiming to obtain the minimum of Function1 (yellow background). The problem that I have is that it does not
Hi all,I am getting an error as symbolic result returned is too large to display. Here, I want to compute cubic polynomial.can anyone help me to rectify my errorand plot the real and imaginary values.I mentioned everything clearly in my code.I attached the code below.Thanks.
I have an problem to solve 7 coupled partial differential equation?how to solve this equation with mathcad.I have attached my worksheet. Kindly help me.
Hi all,I want to compute polyroots for the example program which I attached below. But, I am getting some error in computing the polyroots. Please help me to find out roots for my example program. Also, I need to plot Real and Imaginary part of poles of the given example program.
I'm running into major problems with Mathcad Prime not wanting to solve my equations. They work in the old versions but not in this one. The find wasn't working and now it's saying my Velocities arn't defined. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
HiI have two functions, f1(x1,x2,x3,x4,x5) and f2(x1,x2,x3,x4,x5), which I'd like to plot with one function on each axis in a X-Y plot. The variables are limited to certain ranges, and I've been able to make scatter plots, by using nested for-statements of the variables (see fig. 1), and creating vectors of the results. This doesn't give the best result, since the use of discrete values for the variables is very obvious.Fig. 1: Nested for-statments used to create vectorFig. 2: Scatter plots of the two functions (for the green plot f1 is only dependent on two of the variables, making the discrete values use for calculation more obvious). The pink dots are the data points used to create the functions. Is it possible to get the contour of the two functions with the given boundaries of the variables? I would be very nice, if I was able to just show the region of all possible values.Sorry for my bad english, but I hope I've made myself understood. Thanks in advance.
Hello,I have just started using MathCAD. I am trying to get very simple Torque formula to work good but no luck (like in attachment). I should get around 64 Nm but I get 3,8 milion Nm.I am using formula: Torque=9550*P(kW)/n(rpm).I know:P=2.7 kWn=400 rpmWhat I am doing wrong?Thank you!
using MathCad 15, how do I break an equation that goes for several pages into a lower line on the same page?
Can we have in Mathcad same statement?a:=1b:=2swap(a, b)a=2b=1
Hi,How to myltiply single column to column in matched prime like excel
Is there a person who kindly would like to dedicate some time to my little problem? I would like to know if the difference method and the amplification matrix are accurate. Thanks so much.F. M.

Hey guys, im there with another very special question because of my limited Mathcad Knowledge. Now as following my last Posting i extended my Mathcad Loop and i think my Calculation is resulting in the results which i need to know. Now as an short explanation:The Input File for the Calculation is the Excel File.Table 2 from D2-D33 are the input Parameters for the Calculation. The Result of the Calculation is written in The same Excel File in row 51 and 53.In Mathcad are 2 Calculations implementet.1) Calculation of maximum axialforce with a given moment (marked as yellow in the sheet)2) Calculation of maximum moment with a given axialforce (marked as orange in the sheet)Now the first Calculation as seen in D1 is for calculating maximum force and momentum.------------------------------------------------Now what i need to know:The next step is to perform a Variation Calculation with the scalingfactor as seen in C36 (applied to maximum force row 38 and 39).------------------------------------
Hi all,I've been using Mathcad Prime 2.0 and 3.0 for sometime and upgraded to 3.1 recently. Has anyone found that it seems to crash often like when copying large data (vectors) from one file to another and again when removing a trace from a plot or playing around with a 3D plot? 3.0 was smooth but 3.1 seems a bit cranky? To the best of my knowledge you can't recover a lost file in Prime unlike in M14-15.Manilka
With the operators provided by mathcad, can we create the math operators <a, b> = ...., [A, B] = ...., ect? it does not seem feasible. Do you agree?Otherwise, I would like very much, see clarifying examples.Thank you very much.Sincerely F.M.
I am having slight difficulty graphing this Mathcad problem. When I try, it sends me an error along the lines of "all evaluations either resulted in a complex number or error." The problem is trying to plot the concentration versus position of diffusion/flux through a thin layer membrane. I have to turn it in by tonight, so I would love any help!!Thank you!
This E-book was created in Mathcad 2000i by Martin Zombeck. To install it, create a folder called Astro inside your Handbook folder, where Mathcad is installed. Unzip all the files into the Astro folder, except for the file Astro.hbk. Astro.hbk must be directly in the handbook folder. Astro.hbk and the folder Astro must be named identically for the E-book to work.I have not checked any of the files in current versions of Mathcad, so do not know if they work the same. I reloaded this file since the self-extracting zip only installe for Mathcad 2001i.Mona
Hi,I have several series of points (x, y) and I have fitted each series in an exponential curve using expfit function. Each series of x and y points has the same z.Now, what I am trying to do is getting a general equation (x, y, z) to relate x, y and z in one equation.I tried to create a surface with CreateMesh (using regress and interp with all the points, not the fitted curves) but it seems that I do not have access to the equation which links the points. Is it possible to get an equation of the surface?I tried to do something with the fitted curves instead of the raw points but I have not found how to do it. s there a function in Mathcad 15 to do that?I am attaching two files with the fitted curves and the surface created.Could anyone help me?Thanks in advance
