I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and Datecode is unknownWe have been receiving a "Disk Full" error when saving to a network location (that is most definitely not full). My users say it has been happening "for years," but this is the first I've heard of this. This happens regardless of the file or network location, and does not happen when saved locally to the computer. Happens with or without auto-save being enabled. When it happens, our users have to save locally and then move the file to the server. Is there a port or something on our firewalls that needs to be opened to allow MathCAD to save to network locations without an error? It doesn't happen every single save, but it is is frequent enough to where my users are choosing to save the file locally instead, which is an issue we'd like to stamp out immediately. Here are the errors that I faced:Disk full while accessing "insert network file path"

From Val Ochkov: How to solve the lens problem in Prime?
Hello everyone,I am a new mathcad user. I used to use python but we switched to mathcad prime 9 recently. I'm having a lot of trouble carrying out simple tasks with mathcad. It's certainly my beginner level on the software that explains this. I'm calling on your expertise to help me on a few points. Sorry if for you it's trivial but for me on mathcad it's really complicated at the moment. Here's my problem: I want to retrieve data from a calculation. I've written several fairly complex functions and I want to vary some of the parameters of these functions and retrieve the values. I then want to use Excel to plot the curves of these functions. I want to compare the curves for a given parameter, so as to visualize the impact of a parameter on the function.Mathcad Prime 9.0
Hi Mathcad community members, For those of you who don't know me (some do), my name is Andrew McGough and I'm the product manager for Mathcad here at PTC. I have talked to some of you in the past individually, but I don't get to participate as much as I'd like on the community. I hope this announcement is the start of me being able to be more active here. I would like to share with you that PTC is announcing the end-of-sale for the following versions of PTC Mathcad, effective December 31, 2021: Mathcad 15 Mathcad Prime 1.0 – Prime 6.0 Effective January 1, 2022, the only version of PTC Mathcad available for subscription will be PTC Mathcad Prime 7 and future versions of PTC Mathcad Prime. After December 31, 2021, PTC will no longer have the right to sell or distribute software versions moving to end of sale due to a third-party component contained in those versions. I appreciate the passion o
Hi to everyone!I'm a newbie here and need help finding the idea for the solution to my issue—a brief explanation of the problem.Mathcad Prime 9.0.0 is used for the modelling. There is a FOR loop for which data is calculated, and there are conditions for selecting the coefficient. If the condition is TRUE, I want the program to choose the k1 and f values to be represented in the augmented matrix in the output. But, as I can guess, the problem that prevents my loop from performing as it should in the type of input variable - each i-th value of the input variable u-value has to be checked for a condition—if it is TRUE, it goes to the list of output values; if FALSE, it returns an empty matrix.Mathcad doesn't seem to recognise the particular u-value; it simultaneously recognises all the set of u-values [matrix]. Thus, I probably have the error message "this value must be a scalar."PS The attached file could clarify my issue. I would appreciate any information and help you can give
I am trying to perform curve fitting using mathcad 13 to determine the best coefficients, "alpha" and "beta," that can approximate the equation of the three-parameter model (red line) to the creep equation according to Eurocode 2 (blue line). I cannot change the expression of the parameters in the three-parameter model equation. At this point, I have already tried using functions like "genfit." However, the parameters I am finding are less accurate than those obtained using the trial-and-error method.I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions you can provide.
This month’s challenge is based around pyramids and frustums (a pyramid that’s had its top removed by a plane parallel to the base). Choose any or all of the following and create a Mathcad worksheet: Moderate ChallengeCalculate the volume and surface area of the frustum in the image below. A Creo 7.0 part model is attached to this challenge for verification. Note that the original pyramid is a right pentahedron. (A line joining the center of the base and the vertex of the pyramid is at a right angle / perpendicular to the base. See the CAD model and image for additional clarification.) The base and top surface of the frustum are both square. Optional 1: Create a function that calculates the volume given the 3 dimensions above: edge length of the base, side edge length, and top face edge length. Optional 2 (for Mathcad Prime 10 users): Use the slider advanced input control to change either the height of the slicing plane or length of the side edge, and recalculate the volu
I am attempting to generate a list box from a vector within the worksheet. The next step would be to populate the vector from Excel data. In the attached file, I'm able to create the list box, but the issue is the selection is not kept after saving, closing, and re-opening. When the worksheet is first opened for a brief second, test equals the value from when the file was closed, but it quickly changes to the first item in the listbox. Within the attached worksheet are two other list boxes. One is un-edited after inserting it from the menu. The second only has a few text modifications. Both are keeping the selected value after re-opening. Changing these options did not make a difference. Here is the code to generate the list box: // TODO: Add your initialization code here function ListBoxEvent_Start(Inputs, Outputs) { }; function ListBoxEvent_Exec(Inputs, Outputs) { var test_options = Inputs[0].Value; // Reset ListBox content and add new items ListBox.ResetCo
hi, I recently installed Mathcad Prime 8 and every time I open a Mathcad sheet, it creates a new instance of Mathcad instead of opening a new worksheet in the already open Mathcad I have. For example,If I open three Mathcad files, I end up with three instances of Mathcad instead of just one with three worksheet open. I have been looking around and it seems I could change the registry but I dont have access to it. Also, I dont remember doing this before. It may be due to the way Windows 10 treats Mathcad as an App? Thanks!
I landed here https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/LaTeX-and-or-TeX/td-p/47079 and then wanted to use things mentioned here: conversion - How do I convert HTML to LaTeX? - TeX - LaTeX Stack Exchange or Online HTML to LATEX Converter - Vertopal or CloudConvert How do I get the correct format file to convert? I have had no success - Thanks for your help.
I got new computer and need my mathcad license on the new computer, can you help me with that?
Dear PTC Support,I have got a student's license for MathCAD. The issue I have is that I registered a Computer I can't use anymore. I got a new computer and wanted to activate MathCAD but I cannot use my activation code anymore because I already used it on the old device. Can I somehow delete the old device from my profile and use register the new device?Thank you for your time.Best regardsLukas Marth
The file is from Mathsoft MathCad, but I want to run it in the new PTC MathCad what is the solution please answer ASAP. And are the two software same?
Help Center for Mathcad Prime 6 does not work since more than one week. Will it come back or do we have to use help center for Mathcad Prime 8, 9 or 10? Why PTC does not continue to support customers who still use Mathcad 6?
I am trying to install Mathcad 14 on a new machine. I have a license file I load from disk. However when I run Mathcad it comes up and tells me that the license I have requested has expired 14-apr-2014. However I have a perpetual license for this product. Could you please send me a license file that will work on this new machine. Thank you for your help.
Hi all Does anyone know if there is a way to paste a Mathcad Prime equation into an native equation in Microsoft Word or Powerpoint? And also the other way around, from Powerpoint into Mathcad Prime? Thanks!

Good evening everyone, I have 43 level and in each level I have 16 elements ... I want mathcad to calculate the average value in each level >> summing the 16 elements in each level and dividing them by their number (16). but what I get is the opposite ... it sums all the levels (43) and divides them by 43... I expect the answer to contains 43 value not 16 I tried to use programing ..I get worse result I also, tried to use a simple mathcad sheet to post .. it works there , but not at my original sheet ;( I posted both the original and the simplified version for your assessmentThanks in advance
I want to know the time it takes from start to finish in mathcad14 and mathcad prime10.Is there any way to do this?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Translated the topic from Japanese to English using google translateSubject - 計算時間の表示方法Body - 私はmathcad14とmathcad prime10それぞれで、プログラムを開始してから終わるまでのかかった時間を求めたいです。何か方法はありますか?-By Community Moderation Team-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I'm using PTC Mathcad version 7 and would like to copy and then paste equations into my Power Point slides. This was possible with the normal MathCAD (Such as MathCAD 15 and previous versions of the old MathCAD). However, this doesn't seem possible with PTC Mathcad - or am I wrong about that? I haven't had much luck using a simple copy/paste method with PTC Mathcad. Although, I certainly can use another application to create a screen capture - then import that image into Microsoft Word or Power Point - I'd much rather use a command sequence within PTC Mathcad - such as Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V Since the 1990s Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V worked quite well with original MathCAD for equations, graphs, etc. Let me know what options exist for exporting equations and graphs out of PTC Mathcad version 7. Thanks!
I've searched everywhere and can't find the product code anywhere
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0Experiencing difficulties with variables not working as expected. Here are the errors that I facedMy version 10.0 will not recognize the unit once it's defined on the right side of equations..Can you help?
HiExcel is great for condensing information in a small space so when I have multiple input variables (+50) to my mathcad file I read those from an excel file. In MathCad 15 this excel file could be open and editable while mathcad was still able to read the values which allow for a very efficient "trial and error" workflow. (change data in excel - press ctrl F9 in mathcad. Review result and repeat as necessary) In Prime I have to close the excel file between each recalculation of the mathcad fil - do you know of any workaround or fix to this ??
"Theory and Problems of Electric Circuits", 4th edition. McGraw-Hill Companies is also very good text I found in Academia.edu. In chapter 7 it shows the impulse response of RL circuit. Mathcad Prime 10 shows it, I also stand with Mathcad side. Another is unique problem and answer of this book. My Mathcad Prime sheet shows the answer clockwise current by blue line. Red plot is above answer of clockwise direction. Challenge it.
