Hello, I am inputting a vector into a for loop, but struggling to get a vector back for the output. I would appreciate any help. I could not figure it out from other examples on this forum. I am wondering if I am making an error in the initial step of the for loop? Thank you.
Here https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/One-electrical-task/m-p/926303 was all OK!
Using: MathCAD Prime 9.0Hello,I am trying to add a scalar value to every other column in a large matrix (each element in an even column). I included a screenshot below of a small scale example of the input matrix M, scalar value to add, and the desired output. I thought this might be able to be accomplished using a for loop of some kind looping through the elements and only adding the scalar to the even columns, but I wasn't able to figure out how to do this. The real application is I have a large matrix of time and current values with every other column being the time columns, and want to add a scalar value to shift the time values. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I got a notice that Prime 10 is coming, or here, but no date. Does anyone know when Prime 10 will be available?
Having an issue with the solve block, most likely because of my little experience with Mathcad. I do have a function in the constraints, but don't know how to solve the issue. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Hi, *** I attached a Mathcad sheet exemplifying the issue*** I have a variable j defined below:This variable can take values like [1], [2], etc. except when type is 12, in which case j=[0,1,2,...,11]My idea is that the user can select an individual type or select type=12, which includes all types from 0 to 11..When I multiply two vectors using j to access their elements, it works as intended: The problem occurs when I want to store this result in a variable. I want to get rid of those zeros and mimic the C_j * M1_j results shown above. I tried to create a another variable i but for some reason it gives an error: I wonder if there is a cleaner/easier way of doing this? Regards,
See please Prime 6 in attach. How to solve this task not with SI but with CGS (not with F but with cm)? Very interesting article about this problem Dmitry Sivukhin "About SI" 1974
Version : PTC MathCAD Prime 9.0.0.0So, I had a problem statement in one of my bridges where I had depth as varying (basically z coordinate value with a certain formula that could be followed). So, here I used a constant formula which could be used for all points of vertex needed in z cordinate which I defined as various variables that it picked automatically. And worked & I could get my function sorted. where I stored my variable values reading from excel which then used this formula for all z coordinates and formed as we move along x axis.So this basically is the solved oneNow, my new problem statement in which I am using my same sheets, is that I have different varying values both in y and z coordinate which will be reading from my excel sheet. But the formula is not same for each point of vertex or cross section i.e., y and z coordinate points (different formula). The y & z values have to use the formula's as below for each y & z coordinateNow, I have stored these variable
My company currently utilizes the Mathcad Prime conversion tool to convert Mathcad 15 files to Prime. We auto-generate .xmcd Mathcad 15 files by creating them as .XML text, and then convert them to Prime to open them in Mathcad Prime 9 since Mathcad 15 is no longer supported. Is there any plan to get rid of the Mathcad conversion tool in the future?? We really need to know if the conversion tool will eventually go away, as we would need to determine another way to auto-generate the Mathcad Prime files without going through the Mathcad 15 .XML files, then converting them to Prime.
As per the original post. could you convert this one to .sm? if it's not possible, at least for the .xmcd format. thank you!!

I cannot get the 30 day free trial to activate. I have gone through the activation process repeatedly and it does not work. No matter what I do the program does not recognize that a license has been activated.
As a Mathcad User if you happen to receive an error message "An Unhandled exception occurred on the dispatcher thread. See “C:\ProgramData\PTC\MathcadPrime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_###.log" Than to address the problem, lets first understand the reason for this error followed by Resolution. Root Cause of Error: MathcadPrime.exe.config may have been corrupted User.config is corrupted for the user trying to launch Mathcad Prime Resolution: There are two resolutions to address the problem Resolution 1 - 1. Rename the file MathcadPrime.exe.Config to old_MathcadPrime.exe.Config in the default Mathcad Installation location "C:\Program Data\PTC\Mathcad Prime". 2. Rename the folder #PTC to old_PTC in the location " C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Local" 3. Clear Temporary files on the Machine If the above instructions fail to resolve the issue, uninstall the application, reboot the machine and reinstall Mathcad

In Mathcad 15, if you have equations scatter along the sheet you can highlight, go to format, and the select align regions from the drop menu. How do you do that in Mathcad prime 8 ?
Dear sir or madame,i kindly ask u to give me another 30 days trial version to finish my masterthesis and printout my calculations without the mathcad express signs in the backround. In the company i work we use mathcad anyway, so i figured, it would not be a problem to give me another trial version.kind regardsJohannes Scherfler
I am trying to install Mathcad Prime.I cannot get past the 3rd step in the installation. I have completed introduction & software agreement. When I get to the 3rd step, Application Selection, the window says "Choose from the list below:"The application window below is blank with no options to select. Please advise.
Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.Hi we are the old user of Mathcad, Due to some issues we had gap more than 5years, now we are back and recalling the usages. We hope it is posible to create involute profile in MATHCAD software. We tried something but could not recollect the same. This profile creation would be useful for who are designing the Gear so that they can understand the impact of correction/undercut etc.Anyone tried the same in Mathcad software is so pl.suggest the approach/methodology or is it good to prefer the some other modelling software? I request mathcad experts suggestion in this. Regards
I have defined the more than one values for a variable. The answer 0.21 mm is wrong (0.1mm is correct value).Kindly figure out why the answer is wrong. Regards,GSVP
Hello, Currently I have been facing some errors to solve differential equations using AdamsBDF solver.Your kind help or advice will be very much appreciated. Please see the belwo images and attached file for equations and the problem with "D"_Red Circle. Thank you.
I am doing some image processing in Mathcad Prime 9.0 and the path to the image files is so long that it runs off the right side of the screen. I see a discussion from 2011 for setting a path in older versions of Mathcad (15?) but I cannot seem to find that option in Prime 9.0. Well, as you may see from my other message, I switched to MC 15, but has the same path issue until I learned that I could use character strings as variables. So, now have two path variables and a third string name set to the file name, and I concatenate all three with "concat" in the following manner: Array := READBMP(concat(Path1,Path2,Image_78_7))
I have come to Prime after spending many years on first the DOS version of Mathcad and the various iterations up to 14. My initial try has been frustrating...functions moved and hard to find, graphing difficult, generally too different and counterintuitive. What was wrong with the earlier versions? Perhaps I am being a grumpy old man :).
Hello,Find the equivalent resistance between a and b port (Rab (=Requivalent)) for the bellow circuit. Assume each element is 1 ohm.
Hello,if the result is in feet, Is there a direct and simple way or a function to convert it to feet and inches? For example L=6.33 feet L=6'-4" Thanks,Sam
Hi, I am a new user and I would like to know if there is any way to perform the attached simple equation dividing.I need the unknowns to appear as they are in the K equation
