I tried to follow do the same but i get errors @LucMeekes
Hi,I´m currently using MathCad_Prime6.0 trial version as I need to edit some of my old scipts calculating statistic methods from my former studies. So I use those scripts as I set them up 5 months ago, calculating probability distributions and convolutions of them.Trying to plot them in a diagram, identically according to e.g. >>https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r6.0/de/PTC_Mathcad_Help/example_prob_dens_and_cum_prob_dist.html#<<, plotting does not work graphically (there is only a single point in the plot depending on the diagram type, for instance), nor is an error message displayed. When changing the diagram type, the scaling, the variables or the functions nothing happens either. So is this connected to the trial version licence or am I missing something else? Unfortunately I cannot add a screenshot, but its excactly the typing of the example shown in the link. Maybe you can give me a short support. Thanks a lot in advance! Marco
When I try and run the instalation program, only extracting window appears, then dissapears when it reaches 100%. After that nothing happens anymore.
Why I don't want to create a chart. Will you help?
Hello and thank you to whomever reads and responds to this request. I am currently trying to recreate this procedure https://faculty.csbsju.edu/frioux/scf/HESCF.pdf with never have using Mathcad. I have entered all the equations and attempted to set up a solve block but to be honest I am completely lost. I have attached my file here, if anyone could respond and show me what this in the end looks like I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi,I am unable to license my MathCad trial. I keep getting a license request failed error on the basis of an invalid host. The host ID show in the MathCad license manager matches that in the license file and the license file was generated on the same machine as I am licensing so I don't fully understand why I am unable to license the software. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated. Many Thanks,Daniel
Hello Everyone. From : Thanks in advance for your time and help.Regards.
I am currently a 3rd year university student and upon trying to download the mathcad trial, no email appears to be sent. I have tried several times and on different emails but still no email containing the required link. Is anyone aware of a workaround or facing a similar issue?
I have the PTC Mathcad Prime 4.0 Student Edition Perpetual License but can't find the download for the Prime 4 Mathcad edition
My students and I are designing a Math(cad) house. The first object of this house will be a carpet for the floor in one of the rooms. Can you suggest other objects for this house, designed with Mathcad.
It is a deltoid (one hypecycloid) It is a cardioid (one epicycloid) - one alternative method of plotting What is it?
Hi! While using Mathcad Prime 6, I encountered a rather strange error. When I try to find solutions to an equation using solve, Mathcad says "Unknown error: "failed"_of_mode_Union". I have done the same procedure a couple times before, and it worked every time. I don't think there's a problem in my code. All the units check out. If anyone could help me solve the problem or recommend a way to get around this method somehow, I would appreciate it very much. I tried solve block, but it only gives one solution and I know there are multiple. I attached the mathcad code. Thank you in advance! Sándor Herőczi
Hello,I just stumbled upon the weird fact that for Prime1 certain sums are not absolutely correct. For example, Prime1 calculates1.4 + 0.2 = 1.6So far, so good. But if I check if (1.4+0.2) is the same as 1.6, Prime1 tells me it is NOT!When I create the difference it gives out1.4 + 0.2 - 1.6 = 2.22*10^-16which is almost correct but just not correct enough! In the case of1.2 + 0.4 = 1.6Prime1 works correctly. Please see the attached Prime1-sheet for further examples. Is this a common error with any calculation software or is this just mathcad? Is there a way to avoid this error?Best regardsSebastian
Dear AllI try to use 'Cache Worksheet', I noticed that when I open another computers without Original Path it still work well.My question is ,for confident future using (my sheet), How program store that Original Path/Formula in Original Path?Thank you
I am student at Politehnica Bucharest and cant use free student mathcad
Can anybody help me recovering this mathcad file? It wont open.
What I want to do is move Mathcad 14 from my old computer to new computer AND license it. When I try to use the Mathcad License setup on my old computer, and enter my product code (JG140702EU3136 PHT4 CY4H), log in to my account (under my current e-mail, erinpreciouscat@gmail.com), the wizard starts contacting the PTC licensing server, but gets an "Unexpected Error" window saying "The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF." So long story short Mathcad 14 won't run on my old machine and I want a working version on my new machine (no longer need it on my old machine).
Hi Everyone, I found a website that says it sells a Mathcad software with product key. How can I make sure if it really sells an actual license? Note: When I asked the support of the website, I was told that they provide full software versions with a product key (built-in product key in some cases) and OEM activator. And that the only difference is that it can't be registered online and I can't get support from the vendor. Thanks in advance.
The error message says the number of fitting parameters and guess values must be the same, but they do !!! Please, take a look to the file attached, this is a short programm.
One of the features from Mathcad 15 that I miss (occasionally) is the ability to display a histogram of a vector of data--the ability to display the general shape of a distributed variable is valuable. Prime (at least Express, where I'm stuck) doesn't have that feature. Being bored to tears with the pandemic, I set out this morning the be able to take a vector of data (of random length) and develop a histogram of that data. (A histogram, for those not familiar, divides a range of values into a set of discrete "bins" and returns the count of values in each bin.) I was partially successful. The attached Prime 4.0 file demonstrates the technique. It also demonstrates several issues that I'm hoping someone smarter than I can help me with.
Hello Everyone. Thanks in advance for your time and help.Regards.
Hello Everyone, I am wondering if there is a way to assign units to a web control list box/combo box? I have a list of steel plate thicknesses which I want the user to select and I want the units for these thicknesses to be in inches. When create the list box it doesn't appear that I can embed the units in the selections as when I try and do that it makes them text strings. It also doesn't appear that I can add units after the list box either. I know that just create another variable where I multiply the value from the list box variable by the proper units but I was hoping to not have to do that. Is there something I am missing? Thanks!
All, Is there a way in Symbolic Analysis where the collect function "collect,s" only collects the s terms but does not distribute our the variable? The equation becomes too high entropy with distribution Please see attached Thanks Rdliquid
Hi everyone,As you can see in the picture below, MathCAD 15 has the worksheet grayed out. I can't figure out how to fix it. I can still enter data in but I can't read any of it because the gray overpowers the text color.Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks!
