Hello. I am trying to calculate specific resistivity which.   I am inputting   ohm * mm^2 / m   The result, however, outputs kg * mm^3 / s^3 * A^2   Is there any way I can get it to output the result units as the input units?   Thanks.

Hallo,   i have a special problem. My sverweis function is not working properly. Sverweis gives more results than realy exists it should only be 2 results. 152 is no valid result. I added a Paint Picture of my special problem. I need to know the loadcase of the maximum damage (<1 for each)   Thank you, BR Stefan

I am using MathCAD Prime 5.0.0.0 and I am trying to use a Solver Block for the first time in Prime (I recall using it successfully in the pre-Prime MC).   I am wanting to solve a single ODE. So I decided to run through the Task 3-3:Solving ODEs with Solve Blocks tutorial on the support site to figure out the correct syntax etc.   I defined the 3 variables: m, c, and k as shown in the tutorial. I defined the function u(t) as shown in the tutorial. I then created a solve block by clicking on the Solve Block button under the Math menu tab.   That put the Solve Block with the Guess Values, Constraints, and Solver regions in my MathCAD worksheet.   My understanding from the tutorial is that I did not need to enter anything in the Guess Values regions but that I would need to enter the formula for the derivatives of x(t) in the Constraints region along with the two initial value expressions. And that I would then need to enter the x := odesolve(x(t), 20) in the Solver reg

Our technology people accidentally installed Mathcad Prime 5.0 on a classroom computer instead of 4.0.  When they addressed their mistake they found they could not install 4.0 and a cryptic error message with no detail was given.  (See screenshot attached).   They were able to uninstall Mathcad 5 (though I have both on my laptop with this.     Please advise.. There is a quadratic algebraic equation. Is it possible, according to its coefficients a, b, and c, to form a system of two linear algebraic equations with the same roots as the quadratic equation? Others word! Can I use the lsolve function for the solving a quadratic algebraic equation?

Hi guys,   I have to export data for 3d plotting in excel. what I have is a function f(x,y) which gives me the results in vector form of course.  anybody know how I can convert the vector into a matrix or export it to an excel sheet.   Best   ALi

The only thing that changed is the 1809 Update on my OS so I guess that's the cause but I don't know how to fix it. Also Mathcad 4 does not work either.   Things I've done to try and fix: - Delete and restore/ delete Mathcad related stuff in my AppData folder in Local and Roaming and Temp - Reinstall countless times on different hard drives (both version 5 and 4) - Turn off UAC/ Antivirus before installation and/or completely - Checked to see if Mathcad window was just hidden, it wasn't - Install all the vcredist, msxml and .net framwork stuff   This all applies to Mathcad 4 and 5 which worked flawlessly before the Windows 10 -1809 Update I have the student version and refreshing license does not work either. The logo appears, fades away and only the background process is left in task manager.

Hello everyone,   I would like to sample a half sine, so I made a conditional function which represents the halve sine. It plots perfectly. However when I try to sample it, it does not work the same anymore as the regular sine function, and therefore I cannot get the DFT. Any Ideas?

I am having issues solving a second order ODE because i need to force 3 boundary conditions, 2 for the starting point and one for the last one. I am forced to do this because otherwise the solution is incorrect so i can just obtain a solution with the correct derivative in 0 or the function with the correct value in 0. Of course if i enable all the three conditions mathcad says to me i have too many initial conditions but the problem is they are equally fundamental to obtain the correct solution. I will attach a picture also. Do you know how can i force a third condition solving a second order ODE? Or in general how to force much more conditions than the ODE order? thanks in advance.

i was working to solve this for submission and now the professor asked to submit it in mathcad 15 format.it is a small file, can someone do the favor please. i am stuck. 

Can someone point me to the user guide to use the NEW API in Mathcad prime 3.1The help system mentions that the user guide is available but does not give a link to it, does not give an online help to it. Also, it seems to implt that you have to pay for teh API!!!!If so this is ridiculous. 3.1 is advertised as having an API as part of its features!!!Can someone shed some light on this?Thanks

Hi all! When saving a 25MB mathcad file, Windows creates a temporary file with a name whose first three letters are MFC followed by 4 hexadecimal digits and 0MB size. When the saving is finished, it is automatically deleted. Moreover, if during the saving (which takes several minutes) the operation is disturbed in some way, it happens that the content of the original file is reset and stored in the new MFCXXXX file of the TEMP type, which, then, results unrecoverable. If you open this MFCXXXX file with a text editor, you can access the file. Wanting to recover the file, what are the changes to be made to the opened file with a text editor, and how to change its extension and then save it again with the xmcd extension? Is it possible? Currently I save the files with the name of my liking to which I add the date of the day, so that, if I lose the file, I always have the copy of the previous day. I ask the question in case I want to recover the lost file in the aforementioned way.

Hello Friends,   I am trying to plot something as attached below. Where v2 is a function of v1 and varies according to third variable k. v1 is given by an equation as :   Now as for programming purpose, v1 equation is given as     But when I am trying to solve the equation using root of function k, v1 as for v2, it produce an error that end points of interval must be of opposite signs. Whereas, v2 value can not be in negative as shown in graph above. I have assigned rang from 0 to 4 as mentioned in vertical axis of graph. Can anyone please explain or tell me why I am getting this error and how to solve this problem.   Thanks !!
