Hello erverybody, I want to open a *.xmcd-file (which created by Mathcad 15) in Mathcad Prime 5.0, but failure. PTC Mathcad Prime 5.0.0.0 XMCD, MCD Converter can not convert too: error message is "Mathcad 15 M010 or higher is required to run the converter.". And after each converting, I must restart the converter. Is it normal? I used the data in xmcd converter as exercise, but converting was also fail. Could you tell me what are the reasons for the two question above? Thanks for your antworts. Best regardsSun

Whenever I convert a Mathcad file to PDF format by printing to Adobe PDF, the content of the pages get displaced downwards both in the pdf file and the original Mathcad file. This happens when I have many pages in the Mathcad file. Is there something I'm supposed to set in the printer settings to prevent this from happening?
Hi MathCAD 15, I use references a lot with success but yesterday I met some bug for the first time. My file became big and I decided to split it into two parts - processing and postprocessing. I created a new postprocessing file and insert processing file as a reference at the beginning of it. I post-process (output) variables of processing file and meet several variables which are not defined. I checked them at the end of processing file - they are defined. Has anybody had the same problem with references?
Hi, i am new to Mathcad. I am having difficulty recreating the model described in the attached study. Since there are so many equations, it is getting very overwhelming. Any tips on how to get started would be highly appreciated. Regards
Hello, I want to set a function of type y = A1 + A2 * exp (-X / A3) + A4 * exp (-X / A4) to my data. I need to find the values of Ai. I tried to use the genfit function and an error occurred. I saw in the forum that there are several tips, but I am a beginner in Mathcad, and would like some help. Attached follows the data I would like to perform my function. Thank you
Opposite to older MC versions PRIME has no possibility to compare files in two windows arranged vertically or side-by-side. Is this correct?
Hello to all, I am looking to see if anyone has any experience in using the BS 7910 standard or can simply pull me up on my error in the attached. Within the standard there is a mathematical definition for a pass fail curve (where the variable Lr is plotted on the x axis). Toward the bottom of the attached I have inserted an exert from the standard, my attempt to define this, my result and what I am expecting to see. Obviously something is not quite right. Any thoughts or hints welcomed as always. Thanks, Andy PS using MCP3
The differential equation solve block is giving an error regarding too few initial conditions. I have 3 second order equations and 6 initial conditions. I cannot understand why there is an error?? Any assistance would be appreciated Thanks Ross
When exports pdf file from Mathcad with pictures and tables, it is seen that some part of table or image will be in one page and other part in another page. But in actual Mathcad file, I am keeping the the pictures or tables only in one page itself. When go for print option to get the .pdf file, all the alignment goes misaligned. It will be helpful if some suggestion can improve this situation. Error case example follows,
Because I use both numeric differential equation solvers and programming blocks, most of my Mathcad worksheets' outputs that I want to plot are in the form of range variables. Is there a way to plot a Range Variable using the Mathcad 5.0 Charting Component? If I set either the X or Y input for a chart component to a range variable, I get an error "The variable name for this input expression is not valid." I tried including and excluding the range subscript in the assignment to X and Y and get the same error with or without the subscript. Range variable plots work just fine using a normal graph. Tom
I need to fit a curve like the one in the following picture: I think this is done with the statistical toolbox in matlab. I tried cure fitting in mathcad but i think it works here. I will attach my mathcad file. Can anyone check and see if the problem is with the low number of points or the one in the picture is using something different from curve fitting.
Hello, I'm having a problem in a routine I created to parse a data. I have a data, which is attached. I need to calculate the average values that are close to the maximum and the minimum. After that, I need to average those values and then subtract them. I made a routine that takes the values close to the maximum value, but when I set them to a new table, values that do not meet the established criteria are zero in the new vector. I wanted the new vector to have the ordered ones and that there were no valances that did not meet the criteria. The program is also attached. thank you
In switching between working on my laptop and with monitors, I have had issues with inserted images and PDF snapshots adjusting their position within my Mathcad worksheets. Is there a fix to this? I believe that it has some thing to do with adjusting the screen resolution and also impacts when others use any template calculations that I have created.

Hi, Is it possible to include vertical/horizontal markers in the new chart components?
Is there a Mathcad example in this forum that demonstrates a sensitivity analysis to determine the impact a variable has on the system. I searched the topics and found nothing. A shared example would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Has red equation one symbolic solution? See please the picture and the Mathcad 15 sheet in attach!
Hi, I need a little help in implementing westgard (multirule QC) rules. There are 2 particular rules that I need some programming help with. 1. The 2 of 3_2s rule: Here I need to show that there is a violation if 2 of the 3 consecutive data points exceed a certain control limit (I don't care about the limit right now. I need to get the program going). 2.The 7T rule: In this case I need to show that there is a violation if 7 consecutive values trend in a particular direction. I am attaching pics for the 2 rules. I am also uploading a demo worksheet. Thanks in advance.
Hello all,I would like to assign the resulting vector to a variable but I do not know how to do it.Thank you all!
I wanted to create a table with text and numbers and then be able to sum the numbers. Such as: Item Wt Motor 100 Bearing 20 Mount 220 TotalWeight:= Sum Wt But it is complaining that "Motor" etc. are undefined variables. I could created just a single column table to hold the weights and then align it against a series of text boxes but that does not feel right. Thanks for your help, Robin
(Bicycle) chain is slung over two blocks. Given: r1, r2, x2, y2 (x1=y1=0) and L. Find: a form of the chain. Слабо? If r1 and r2 -> 0 (or L -> infinity) we have this problem - see here.
Hello! I have started to use Mathcad a bit for circuit analysis with laplace transform. However, often the invlaplace does not give the output i expect. Am i doing something wrong? I have attached a worksheet where i want to plot iL(t). However cant get it to work. If i redefine the step function i am using (only using simple step) it works...... i need to be able to analyze step functions... Would be great to get some input... Best regards Kanka
Hello, I'm currently performing Monte-Carlo-Simulations by using Mathcad Prime 4.0. When I change the number of events, I always get different values. Should an Monte-Carlo-Simulation not converge with a higher number of events to a certain value?
