Hello guys.   I'm having a problem with reducing a calculation. In this case, it is the intermediate calculation in a solving progress. Can someone tell me how to remove/reduce the result? I'm new to mathcad, and I'm working in Prime 4.   The file is attached

I would like to point out to the PTC programmers, the following annoying Mathcad 15 abnormality that is when I click on a formula the formula is enlarged as shown in the following picture: I'm sure this fact has been noticed by all users. Hello guys, I need help with deconvolution of experimental spectra (~400 of them) that contains two peaks - one is Lorentz and second is Breit-Wigner-Fano shaped. Files are attached. Can this be done in Mathcad? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi   I'm trying to make a sheet for consolidation of soil with probabilistic analyses using montecarlo function.   As attached is a sheet of my initial try, but the formula doesn't compute even if the units are totally dropper off from the matrices.   Can this type of relatively simpel formula be used, or do I first need to make a vector of ech parameter with the random fluctuation? The aim is that in final stage the units could be used in the formula.

Hello   I'm trying to compute the stress under circular load (not only below center line, but below any point).   I have found the attached article about the topic, but I wasn't able to make the computation indicated in formula 3c. The units doesn't seem to match. (http://onlinepubs.trb.org/Onlinepubs/hrr/1963/39/39-004.pdf)   I have found an old mathcad computation sheet about the problem, but the reference to these formulas is unclear.   The attached sheet includes some of my tries to solve this problem based on the attached article. But my feeling is that I'm not even close...   Thank you for your help in advance.

I am using MathCad 15 Academic (professional?) and have a problem that involves several variables, e.g. x ,y, z,  that are implicit functions of a range variable, ϴ = 0, 0.1,…1,  e.g. 0 = f(ϴ,x,y,z).   I want to obtain explicit functions, e.g. x(ϴ, y), so that I can graph  x(ϴ, y) vs ϴ in order to determine if a supremum is at a boundary or interior value of ϴ.             I have several such variables, e.g. y(ϴ,z), which are part of a more complex function, e.g. G(ϴ, x(ϴ, y), y(ϴ,z)), that I want to evaluate in terms of a supremum for ϴ.  Using the “find” function in MathCad I have successfully obtained values of x, y, and G, for each of the values of ϴ and manually inserted these into a vector, e.g. x(ϴ, y).  However, I have not created a function as I cannot graph x(ϴ, y) against ϴ.   Evidently, there is something simple which I am not doing (despi

  How to get the intersection points when the number of when the number of interpolation function is large? I have many data. so I should use "for loop".  However, Results of my mathcad code was wrong. I need help!! I explain my problem and attach file including data file.     1. My data "M" is 50X28 array 2. I want to get intersection points of these array. My data consists of descrete points. Thus, I use interpolation function. Here's what I'd like to see done in Prime 4.Mathcad convertor:Don't flag minor font substitutions(or allow hiding the red bars).  I don't care that the converter arbitrarily changed my plot from 'sec' to 'sec'.On plots, move the scaling automatically to its new place in Prime.  The converter knows that I want 'm/sec' but won't populate the new scaling box.Provide some automation in Prime after I convert a file so I can select "ignore this warning/editoral" rather than having to manually change every instance.Provide Post & Pre-Fix operator functions  (/dB as an example everyone cites)Provide subscript & and superscript formatting in text regions so that the converter doesn't leave me the job of looking for the substitutions.Bring back the ability to convert from within Prime rather than having to do it externally.Prime functionalityBring back the ability to call Matlab functions from Mathcad.  That's right, I don't want to spend my days writing functions in

Updated question from a few weeks ago. I added a few functions and I am having some more issues with getting Rkfixed to work with my system of equations. Last issue was setting origin to 1, and a units issue. I checked units and they are all correct, so I am at a loss as to what the current issue is that is preventing rkfixed from solving.   For the excel file, read in rows 2-47, and columns A-J.

Is it possible to define a single function (for example a cam) in segments and then show it in one continuous graph? See the attached example. The reason that I would like to do this as a function rather than an array is that I wish to subsequently repeatedly differentiate it to get from displacement to velocity, acceleration and jerk. I am having multiple issues with matrix operations in an FEA assignment.   The first was multiplying a transformation matrix by a stiffness matrix, I got an error stating the units were incompatible. Removing the units from everything solved this.   The second was an error with integrating inside a matrix. It said nothing was defined and I couldnt redefine any variables. It was like they were stuck with the origional variables. to solve this, I did the integration by hand instead.   Now I cannot get the local forces to transform into global.   I am unable to attach the file because this website says the contents of the attachment do not match its file type. I will attach a screenshot instead.   Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get a polyfit curve from attached excel data, page 12. Data points read in fine and plot. I am getting a plotting error when I try to graph the polyfit function. Using Mathcad Prime 3.1. My goal is to generate an equation that approximates the data points for use in control scheme. I will need to display the coefficients as well. Hi all,   Can someone tell me how I can set up a function to perform multiplication or other simple equation.   So for example I have an equation of a=b*x^2    In this case b is a constant and x is a variable. How do I go about getting a variety of answers for a range of x variables? i.e. if I define x:= 0,0.1...1?   So I am hoping to get in this case 11 outputs for a.    Thanks,   Andy.

In MC prime, how do you change the default location where the files are saved with the save as command? I don't want to keep updating every time I use save as.

Ever since our upgrade to 4.0 we are noticing that the Y-Axis of the plots are getting replaced with the X-Axis numbers whenever we print.  It does not matter if we print to a printer or to a PDF file.  The MathCAD file is fine on the screen but all plots have the X-Axis data on both axes and the corresponding plotted data reacts to this and changes position on the graphs.  Our support contract recently expired and PTC does not seem interested in hearing about product bugs unless your uspport contract is up to date.  Below the PDF file in on the left and the MathCAD window is on the right...

Guys i enjoy using mathcad, its fast and easy . But i have this big problem now. My file is corrupted at some line. I did a lot of work and i cant lose this file. Anyoune can help me ? The important part of the file is just the first half . Please guys help me .

Hi everybody does any body have idea how can I set VBscript behind a contorl to use it as a dynamic combo box I mean I want to set 2 combo box in worksheet which senond one being depends on selection in the first one as we can do it in listbox but I was not succeed to do the same in combo box I am not that much familiar with VBscript and I do not know which part of code is wrong  and I also know it needs something like Listbox.resetCount at the first but for comboBox so your help will be highly apriciated  I attached my trying file thanks

When I try to open this file I get a message saying it is corrupt with the reason "element content is invalid according to the dtd/schema". Does anyone have any ideas on how I can recover the file. I will attach the file if anyone can help me out. Thanks

How can I find Alpha if "m", "m_2" and "e" are known. (I'm using Mathcad prime 3)
