Mathcad

Hello,I'm realtively new to MathCAD Prime 3.1. In my previous works I used MathCAD 14 but with this one I can't make this work. Especially the units.Basically, I just want to solve a system of two equations and I can't make this work right. That's why I need some help from you guys. I've searched a lot here, but the problem remains.At the end of the attached file there are two solve blocks. I want to solve them both, so in each one I do: Find(W_L1,R1), for example, to obtain result of the system, but MathCAD can't do that for me and I don't understand why. If I eliminate all the units and try to solve them, I think it does the math. Although, as this is part of my thesis work, I want everything right, including the units, that are essential.Thank you in advance for your time.Regards!

Hi, I'm new on the forum and inexperienced with Mathcad Prime 3, so I need help. In the attached sheet I just wrote the kinetic model for a CSTR, which is a simple system of 2 algebric equations. There are lots of parameters that are fixed and one, XFRC (conversione of the reagent), that must change because I have to plot the solution of the systemwith respect to that parameter. I have some old Mathcad files I downloaded.  The are Peng Robinson based files and would do bubble point pressure, dewpoint pressure and temperatures.  They can be useful, but I have no means to update the files to the present Mathcad.

I would like to start printing of a series of worksheets from an external Application. The external application was created to collect worksheets, force modifications and update them. The printout to XPS give the ability to insert content dependent header/footer. What I need now is the automated creation of such XPS outputs. This is normally done by printing to "XPS Document Writer" (Windows 7). The SDK does not have a interface for printing - not in the default automation dll. Is there any other dll or any other way to do this?

The attached worksheet attempts to search a vector and if any values are "single" they are replaced with "group" and the value directly after it is multiplied by 2. In the attached worksheet (first attached jpeg) this doesn't work, however in a prior worksheet (second attached jpeg) it does work. Why is this?Also, is there a function (such as an if function) that can search an entire vector for "group" and if it finds it anywhere then perform a line-by-line operation such as that above?

In an external automation application  for Mathcad Prime 3.1 I need the information about errors of a worksheet after the modification event was raised (SDK). How can I get this?

HI,We would need the Lambert W function. IN Mathematica it is ProductLog(x) and in Maple W.When could this important function be get in Mathcad 15 or Prime ?ThanksWalter

As you know I've been saying the hand-held graphing calculator is obsolete.  Yet it is required for college entrance math tests in the USA.  In Russia no calculators are allowed in tests and homework.  I have been demonstrating Mathcad to some of the local secondary school math teachers. They of course like the free Mathcad Express, but are reluctant to shell out about $100 for the student version.  I keep telling them that the symbolic math capability for calculus is essential.  This is a task for Russia marketing.We are now living in Zheshart, Komi Republic, Russia.  Natasha teaches English.  I'm learning Russian and promoting MOOCs and Mathcad.  The plywood factory here is playing with MDF (medium density fiberboard).  We are thinking about the technical problems of using extrudable MDF as material for a 3-D printer. A major area for PTC development is CREO and 3-D printing closely integrated with Mathcad.Cheers, Tom

Hi all, I accidently deleted some mathcad programs.I recovered mathcad worksheets from some recovery softwaresbut when I try to open the recovered mathcad worksheet, I am gettinga dialog  box describing as " The requested file is not a valid Mathcad XML worksheet ".It means when mathcad worsheets once deleted cannot be opened in mathcad ?Please someone help me in this issue ?

Numerical Precision in MathCAD: which is MathCAD numerical precision? what is the maximum number of significant decimal digit ? To which minimum values TOL, CTOL  could be set?

PLEASE, I need your help. I saved my mathcad file and then my computer crashed. Now I cannot open my mathcad file for the life of mine. It says 'The file type is not supported. Log file is located at "xxx.log". Does it mean it's unrecoverable? I have no idea what to do! Can anyone, PLEASE , help me? I've attached my mathcad file and a log file. I use Mathcad Prime 3.1.

I have been writing a technical report in MS Word 2013 and wanted to incorporate some Mathcad equations and supporting text to word I.e export Prime to word. Not as an object because this is problematic when then Mathcad worksheet is more than one A4 page long (word doesn't like object to span more than one page) I.e you have to shrink the object to fit on one page in word and then it becomes unreadable. To my surprise this simple exercise is impossible with Prime (at least I. Think it is). Someone told me that Word is really good at reading HTML but again I don't find that an output of that format in Prime either. Then I remembered Mathcad 15 could save as HTML so with much effort I reconstructed the Prime worksheet in MC 15. I then did a HTML export which I was happy about but then I find that MC 15 must be using an older version of HTML which MS Word 2013 rejects. So what seemed at first to be at first to be a trivial exercise has taken me many hours and ultimately failed. I cannot

Sorry if this question is posted twice. I'm new to your community. Just purchased student version of Prime 3.1 and Mathcad 15. prime installs fine (Windows 7) and works fine, but I cannot install Mathcad 15. The installation almost finishes and I get an error msg about program File x86. Says it already exists, but I cannot find it when I search the computer. I uninstalled everything yesterday and reinstalled. no improvement.  Thanks, Al

What is the error with the syntax in the attached program? I am attempting to define multiple values of a vector depending on the previously assigned variables. I am expecting the vector to have two rows but only one results.

using Prime 2.0.  i "include" a sheet with a simple program (attached).  it works fine in the original sheet but the sheet that is trying to "include" it complains that there is an error in this sheet.

Hi, I'm trying to get to grips with MathCad Prime, I'm using my old college notes and trying to recreate the solutions to example problems in Mathcad as a way of learning the tool. I'm struggling with the below 'kind' of problem. I used to love working in this kind of notation, i.e. dot-derivatives, unit vectors, etc. makes it quick and easy on paper. I'm wondering what are the best techniques in Mathcad to use to recreate this solution approach in mathcad and work through the problem?i, j, k are unit vectors in x, y an z directions, gamma(dot) is a rotational velocity or derivative of gamma which is the rotation angle.

HiAnyone knows if it is possible to return a nested matrix from a custom function i.e. I want to build a function that has a return value similar  like the built in LU(M) function.

Recently everytime I try to print in Mathcad Prime 3.1 Student Edition it comes up with a dialog box that says "PTC Mathcad Prime 3.1 has stopped working a problem caused this program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It force quits without allowing to save every time I try to print any worksheet or xps document. I have tried a full uninstall and reinstall. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
