how to calculate two matrices in a mathcadthanks
Hi everyone, i got a new laptop without a CD-drive. And i got some problem to find a setup software to install Mathcad 2.0.Can someone help me ?Also how can i uppgrade after Prime 2.0 to Mathcad 15.0?Thank you for helping
i have tried to plot the electric field in 3D, but always only obtain a 2D version of it.Is there any way that i can plot vector fields in 3D, for example that i can see the vector lines getting out of the source (anodes in my case) and arriving to the sink (cathodes in my case)?i have attached three graphs, one for the case of the electric field at the anode location, one for the case at middle point between anodes and cathodes and one close the cathode.i would like to know if i can have a 3D version, which will be more self explanatory for the client.thanks you in advance,RegardsRogelio
Can MathCAD do Discrete Fourier Transforms of a waveform?I am totally new to MatchCAD. I am using Excel for theses things, but it it is time consuming to fill the DFT matrice with the SIN and COS values. The waveform can be a square wave, triangular, or similar basic wave shapes.Follow up question would be: How to create the sample values of the original waveform, defined in continuous time?
In the past we had the ability to insert an AutoCad drawing into Mathcad. It does not appear that this is still possible. What is the best way to insert a sketch without purchasing new software?
Please tell me this is some sort of joke.3.1 Prime does not have a spellcheck?out of all the things this extremely EXPENSIVE software can do it doesn't have a spellcheck?Someone please tell me I'm just missing it
This is a classic exercise in electrical engineering, for students. It concerns the impedance matching with a lumped passive quadrupole.
I'm familiar with using the spline and interp functions in Mathcad to use spline-interpolation of a dataset. Considering a situation where the dataset is noisy, I'd like to be able to fit a spline of n-degrees of freedom rather than creating a spline that goes through all datapoints. I can't find any help in the Mathcad documentation so input from you guys would be much appreciated.I can see it exists for Matlab: File Exchange - MATLAB Central
We have a paper blank square with sides of length A, from which we need to make a box. The box is made so: we got out of the corners of the small squares and fold the edges up - see the animation. The question is, what should be equal lengths of the sides cut out the squares where the volume of the box would be maximum? Video Link : 6553 One solution
Getting crashes with ~8MB files.
Hello,I am just wondering how to plot the direction field of an ODE.I saw a post where this was solved, but the worksheet was in Mathcad 14/15 and the converter fails, so I couldn't see how they did it.Thanks!
I've been reading through the forums but I have not found a solution to what I'm looking for. Basically, I need MathCAD 14 to read an Excel database are spit out specific values to be used in calculations. The excel file is a list of alum. extrusions and their section properties. Below is what I want to do.Die: 123 <--- This would be the input, the die that I want the properties for to use in the calculation.I=x.xxx S=x.xxx These are the specific properties that would be auto populated based on the excel file.J=x.xxxand so on.I can then use those values in different equations throughout the MathCAD sheet. The excel file would be arranged with the Die number in column A and the output values in columns B to G (or however many property values that I would need)Hopefully I described it well enough that someone can point me in the right direction.
Hi All, I have a question regarding symbolic solution of three equations. Would someone look at my attachment and advise me how to do it? Thank you so much!
Will PTC release a mac compatible version of mathcad prime?
I have tried to create a surface plot where I fractional increments but have not managed to do this and can't find my error

Hello,I would like to import an entire worksheet from MAPLE or MATLAB. Is it possible? How should I do that? Also, I would like to export the code for those software as well.Thank you!
Dear all,I attach here a numerically-solved equation code for you. The tuning parameter in the code is alpha (alpha:=2.4/1.764). What I usually did for my work is to choose different alpha values and to generate the data of gdc vs. t/t_1618. I compare the generated curve to my experimental data and I justify the correct alpha values by naked eyes. Is it possible to modify my code to import the experimental data and let the Mathcad find the alpha value from a least-square fitting? I really have no idea how I should do that. Could anyone give me some help please? With best regards,Chien-Lung Huang
I am looking for a formula to calculate the voltage attenuation on a d.c. conductor (anode) in the soil. The anode is laid out in lengths of up to 500m and the requirement is to calculate how often current needs to be injected into the anode to maintain the anode output. Maximum anode output is 52 mA/m.The anode rod is 0.0015m diameter and resistance is 0.136 ohms/m. Resistance of a 10m anode rod to remote earth is 0.892 ohms. I would like to calculate how often current needs to be injected fo a notional 10m length. Present empirical spacing is 3m, but there is no design justification for this. The anode is fed by a 10 mm sq insulated copper conductoras 10m length also.Any ideas welcome.I have v15, Prime 2 and Prime 3.Thanks.
Hey AllIm having to endure the uphill battle of using a new program especially on windows making it even harder given I'm a mac userPlease see the picture belowWhat went wrong here? The answer very clearly should be 2.5 C/wAnd this thing is freaking out giving me whatever the heck that is.Im sure I'm just missing something simpleThanks in advance.
Hi I have a problem with the definition of functions. I have a function A that references to function B which uses function A from a previous iteration.here's my code (more in xmcd file)Thank you for your help
I downloaded mathcad 15 and its not working well for me. It wont show operators such as */+ example if i type a=2 b=4 a*b, the * on a*b wont show but a*b will be evaluated, the a*b will show as a[]b(box between a and b) same with integral sign
Can any one help me regarding this error. The installation is not getting completed.
Hello,I'm trying to use the integral function of MathCAD, which I haven't used before, and getting "This calculation doesn't converge to a solution". I think it has something to do with using a ray with the specific values for integration. I included the graph of what I'm trying to integrate. Any help would be great. Thanks,Kendall
