Hello all - I started 7 years ago with ProductView 6 and then version 8 and now I try to get along with CreoIllustrate.My actual problem is: how do I move the trackball out of the middle of the selected door and adapt it on the hinge?Or how do I define axis along the hinges to move the selected door of the filter casing?Of course I know about the solution in using the trackball in front/top/right orientation, but I am sure, there is a smarterfunction in CreoIllustrate.An example is shown in the attached video: how to turn the safety clip in CreoIllustrate?thx -bye

Hi everyone, Im coming across an issue where the call-out has an non transparent box around it in the 2D figure. Is there a way to change this so I can see the lines behind it? in the 3D model on the call-out itself I choose to have no shape and the wording goes across it just fine. Hi,Is there any way to duplicate (copy & paste) a certain part or assembly in a Creo Illustrate file? Hello,   I am using Creo Illustrate 6.0 and have windchill 11.0 M030-CPS17. I have created animation, sequence, and couple of figures for illustration. I'm trying to publish illustrations to windchill so that graphics can be used in arbortext. But I'm getting error message that publishing to a server location is not supported.   Thanks

We get often Navisworks Files. Modeling should have a Data Exchange Interface for such files.

Hi, I am doing some Illustrate demo for a customer. I was trying to import several .dgn files and .step files and making animations to show them via Vuforia Studio. But after imported them into Illustrate, some parts in .dgn files were at wrong place. And when I tried to publish .step file to .PVZ. I got a error message said "No publish options defined". Attached files are samples. What can I do to correct them.

Hello everyone !   I think it could be great to enable Creo View to display hatching on a section. This is something widely used on the industry and really important for the Model Based Design.   Is there any enhancement on this subject ?   Have a nice day 🙂

Hello,    Can someone tell me how secure the .pvz format is against reverse engineering?   I want to share some assemblies using this format but I'm afraid someone may take the files, convert them to another format, and use them again in a CAD software.    Thanks

Hi,   I experienced issue with Creo Illustrate 6.1, where the model loading is very slow and the graphic is severely impaired. Below is the screenshot of the model when being selected in Creo Illustrate.     The model is of .FBX format and of 9.47MB.   I've verified that my OpenGL library version is greater than 1.1. My server spec is 16GB for RAM, and have sufficient space (60GB available). OS is Windows 10 64 bit. CPU is quad-core. Other information is as follow:     What could be the issue here?      

When we set a fiber (in block diagram) to THICK_CENTER and then move a block that it is attached to, i get the preview of the change in the fiber, but as soon as i let go..  it locks up and crashes.  Before I place a call is anyone else having this issue?   DONT TRY THIS ON A WORKING DESIGN!!!   Start something new and be ready to kill the process thru task manager.  Using the latest 4.0 M010

Hi there 🙂   I want to save a "Sketch" with dimensions and a note, so i could "stamp" it on drawings and dont have to copy it from existing drawings... I want to save it like a table or symbol and surch in creo after it...   Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain...       here one example how this "sketches" are looking   Thank you and all the best!!!

Hello to all, I am trying to export a Creo Parametric assembly to pvz which contains annotations both at the assembly and part level. I noticed that if I save the annotations in combined states they are exported to pvz and I display them in Creo View 6.0. However, the combined states of the assembly are exported by themselves, but not the parts. Is there any chance to do this? Thank you, Matteo.

Hello, I recently updated Creo View 6.1 from 4.0.  I no longer have the markup tab in the ribbon.  Is it hidden somewhere, or am I missing something?   Thanks, Craig

I'm using Illustrate 6.0, and I have not seen this feature since I started in 3.0. While in page size mode (clicking on Size in Figure menu), and you zoom in, Illustrate will zoom in to the center of the page. What I might be working on is at the top or bottom of the page. I would expect to see a scroll bar on the right side of the screen to scroll the page up or down. It doesn't seem to exist. I usually zoom in, pan the page to were I need to go, then zoom out by clicking Fit to Window, then click the Go to Figure View. A scroll bar on the screen would be much better.   Thanks in Advance.

Hello, When using "Record Content" and moving or modifying multiple selected CAD items, Creo Illustrate automatically groups the animation tracks for two or more items into a sub-folder. Sometimes it is cumbersome to deal with so many sub-folders, and I find myself right clicking each item and moving it to the higher-level folder (for the sequence step).   Is there a way to disable the automatic creation of animation track sub-folders?   Thanks, Wes

If I create an illustration containing a 3D Solid Edge file with the link option, it updates if I edit the native files from the SolidEdge software as would happen with native Creo Parametric files.Or is there no possibility? ty, Matteo.

Hello,   We have a problem with the behaviour of the file open dialog within Creo Illustrate. When user_1 creates a file Illustrate will save it's workspace location in the illustrate file. The location is something like C:\Users\#USERNAME#\.wwgm\.ws\#WINDCHILL_SERVER#\   If a second user is modifying the illustration that's created by user_1 and click on the file open dialog it sees the windchill cache location of user_1 (C:\Users\#USERNAME#\.wwgm\.ws\#WINDCHILL_SERVER#\) and this confuses people.   Is there a solution for this? I tried something with the Creo Illustate standards by myself because on my investigation of this problem I found that this location is stored within the standards.xml of the Illustration (C3DI).

Hello PTC community, I've recently downloaded Creo View Express (Version 13.1.0.26 6.1.0.0) and for some reason I can't get the middle mouse wheel to spin the model.  My model is also one of the test examples from the PTC Creo View site.  When I click on the Spin Center icon (Automatic Spin Center) and then click into the space, when I move the middle mouse wheel, all that happens is that the model zooms in and out.  All other functions in the viewer seem to work fine, and I can't understand why this basic command isn't working for me. I've searched all the Youtube help videos and online support, along with this video 'An Introduction to Viewing 3D Models in Creo View' and still no luck.  If anyone could help me, I would be grateful.   Kind Regards David
