I would like to be able to find the rotational moment of inertia of an assembly (that is, to disegnate which parts move around the axis and get the moment for those parts together). There are several different materials involved in these parts. I have the density (kg/m^3) of all the materials. I tried setting mass poperties but everthing in the window is greyed out or locked. And even if I could set that, I am unsure how to find the moment. How do I go about doing this? I could do it one part at a time and sum if needed, since inertia about the same axis is additive.

Is there any possible way, or work-around, that would allow me to place more than 1 bom balloon without it showing up as a "REF"?Suppose I have created piece 'f' balloon, now when I go to do that piece again in a detail, it shows up as "REF"?I would like to be able to call out the piece in as many views as I would like without the balloon becoming a ref. Hey guys,SolidWorks has a feature "Normal To" which rotates and zooms a model to a normal view orientation of any selected plane or surface. This is similar to the "Sketch View" function in Creo, but can be accessed outside of sketchmode. I am an absolute beginner with CAD. I am trying to model a bolt and nut so that I can test it failing under various condidtions. I Have been following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyMfcRl71do which is very useful, although I only have a student account. Just as I was about to get to putting the thredad on my bolt, the video at 14.53 tells me to open a file called unf_external_thread_profile. Which I dont have. Can anyone help me with this?Also I have built the bolt so far need to convert it from inces to mm, is this possible.Sorry to ask such basic questions, but like I say this is my very first time using CAD.CheersMarcus

I do not understand the use of flatten form command's existence..Flatten form doesnt give you any dimension added into sheet metal just as we get in flatten sheet. Hi, a i have a problem snapping custom symbol to dimension like on the pictures.Its some weird attachment, the placement type of symbol is free, i can move it freely separately, but when i move the dimension, the symbol moves too.When i right-click on the symbol and select Edit Attachment, i see there are no attachments, so its snapped to the dim some other way.Please help me how can i create connection like this.Grateful for any answer.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi all, is it possible in Creo 2.0 to create an instance of an assembly where by the parts in the model tree are arranged in a differernt order in the instance. how to Retrieve document structure of a part. how to Display the name of the document associated with the part as output.

I need my Mathcad Prime 3.0 worksheets to better with the results display fixed number of decimal places (set by me) whether they are integers or not. I can set precision display to say 3. My Worksheet is like this:I get two matrix:A and B.A contains some numbers.B contains some strings that indicate certain blank which numbers in A should be put into.For example,A_1,3=0.009,so 0.009 should be put into Sheet1!G10(=B_1,3) in test.xlsx.I use WRITEEXCEL function to achieve the goal but find it didn't run in for-loop.I still try other write-file functions such like WRITETEXT in for-loop and find none of them work.Is it a bug?Any one can help?PS: I use Mathcad Prime 3.0 F000 PS:ORIGIN=1

Hi,I am trying to use some commands like "Goal seek in excel" in mathcad prime 3.0. Though I have not found any exact command in mathcad but have been able to manage it thorough "root" command in the Function>Solving subcatagory menu. But I can't use this option for a matrix. Please see the attachment.For my problem, I need to find two values of "k" at the same time in a matrix. If I use the values of " i " seperatey as " 0 " and " 1 ", it gives correct result, but if I use as " i = 0,1..1 ", it shows error. Hi...I need an example of the 'im edittype' command that sets the "Override the global description" attribute in the 'Overrides for Fields' section for a field within a type. The 'im edittype -?' command provides no information and I was not able to find anything in the documentation regarding the command-line syntax for this.Can someone provide and example, or send a link to the documentation that shows how to do this?Thanks...-Sean
