Is there are way that I can change the "view settings" of the workspace so I can see the assembly structure of the assemblies in a workspace?At the moment when I add a well organized .ASM file to a workspace, the default view of the workspace in windchill is an unordered blob of parts, drawings and assemblies that bears no resemblance to the design intent of the .ASM file giving no indication of what parts are associated with which assembly. As you can imagine, the problem compounds if you have multiple assemblies within 1 workspace.Any thoughts welcome

Hello there, Above all, I am the very biginner for Mathcad as well as programming. So please forgive me if my questions would be so basic or stupid. (i am trying. ;;;)Since I have several data to be selected by users, I've decided to use mathcad 15 than prime so that I can make full use of components. I am making a calculation worksheet with a number of back data and I want to know how to syncronize data, like. (refer to the attached also) I have 4 materials for moment having information of size 1&2, parameter 1&2. Some information is duplicated, some is not. Under this situation, I want to program like.. when I select material 1 in the 1st list box (or ribbon which is more favorable), the second list box (or so) shows only the applicable information. the third, forth and fifth.. accordingly. I'm doing some analysis which at the moment uses an averaged value inside an integral. It's part of a longer chain of calculation and reasoning about a system being designed. At the end I want to have an overall functional form for the performance, so I also undefine each numeric value, e.g. for the wavelength I define l:=l and then I have both symbolic evaluation and numeric evaluation.I also have a signal transmisson 's' integral that currently uses the mean attenuation for the whole of the signal path (i.e. it's assumed constant with range), so the symbolics will 'solve' the integral, rather than leaving the integral intact. Yet I know that we will want to have a functional form for the attenuation with range s(R), so realy I need to be able to retain that functional form, and let the numeric engine handle 'real data' calculation scenariosCan we undefine a function in mathcad? what is duplicate object in windchill ?

HiI have a cad doc which has A.3 version in common space , the same cad doc but diff version (i.e lower version) available in workspace A.2. It happened because I forgot to erase the doc from workspace after checkin. The reason the version changed in commonspace is that my colleague open the same doc and did change & check into windchill . What will happen now in my workspace ? should I update the same doc in workspace or simply remove the doc from workspace ?

I am starting down the path of upgrading from 10.1 m040 to 10.2 m020. So far looking at the the documentation, it looks like I need another machine to install 10.2 on. What I am trying to do is to install it on the same server that I currently have. I know that is how I did it with the 10.0 to 10.1 upgrade, but I do not even get the Update Existing Installation button. Do I have to have another machine or is there a way to do it on just one machine? If I can do it on one machine, does anyone have a simple outline of the steps that are needed?Thank you,Brian

I am wondering if someone can help me with this one. I searched for a part number in the model tree using the search box above the model tree. When the part was located the part number and the associated geometry in the assembly were turned a dark green color. How do I turned this off and put it back like it was before I did this. We currently are storing our graphic files on a seperate network as a repository. We have had issues with the network, where it might be down but our Composer is still composing. The result is not graphics in the PDF. We also have to change our network mapping daily, because the server has be replaced and points elsewhere. Is there a place in Arbortext Editior for such a repository?

Hi,anybody know is there a solution to install business reporting to an existing Windchill 10.2 M020 installation?This was my first Windchill installation and configuration, I forgot add BR and now I got production environment without BR.I don't want install all one more time. Did anybody try add solution to Windchill?When I run PSI then got only solution or update, but on update I can't select my installation.

Hello - this is my first time here, so I hope it is okay for me to ask a question regarding the Arbortext editor.I am an end user and have just found out that I can map my own keyboard shortcuts through the command line. My coworkers and I are thrilled that we can do this and use the editor in a more personal adjusted way. But I don't think we can save the shortcuts locally - I haven't figured out how anyway, and it's propably a good thing that we can't override what our system administrator has set.My question is - are there any way of running more than one command at a time?Eg. I have made these (and more): map F10 insert_tag NRmap ctrl+d delete_tagmap ctrl+shift+T insert_tag TXTand I copy/paste them in the Command line each time I start Arbortext editor. Do you know of any easier way?Thanks 🙂Betina

I am attempting to run a dynamic frequency analysis on a vertical bottle. I define everything, in that the modal and static give good results. I am a little hesitant on how exactly the DFA works (as far as what the inputs are, I've done this in other software), but that is not really the question here, as I am sure I can figure it out once I start seeing results.After my DFA completes, I go to display results and the options available to me are very limited. It must be a graph and ordinate must be a measure (with abcissa freq/measure). The problem is, even though there are predefined measures, and I have defined measure that are compatible with DFA and DTA, there are ZERO measures available to choose from. Where are the measures? I received a part from a department a month ago. I modified it and created a new drawing and kept it in my local directory.Now they have sent me an assembly which uses their original part. Now I set my local directory as working directory where I have my modified component and backup their assembly into my local directory. This is where the problem begins. Creo brings the unmodified part into my directory and replaces the modified part for which I have created drawing. In ProE, The same procedure brings the assembly into my directory but keeps all other parts as it is in the working directory. This keeps my drawing intact. I want Creo to behave in this manner. Creo 2.0 M090   I have created a model where I used an inheritance of an existing model. This is similar to how our supplier will handle the manufacture of this part. If part A exists in stock remove from stock and add holes and it becomes part B.   I created a second page to my drawing where I have imported part A's drawing. I did this so that in the event that part A does not exist in stock the supplier can make the whole thing from scratch. This helps the supplier avoid: -Making part A removing from machine -Placing it in stock -Taking from stock and putting back in machine to create part B   Now to the real question/concern:   I feel that the import drawing/data on page 2 is just a snapshot and will not update if changes are made to part A drawing. That being the case the designer will have to import this any time either model changes. Is there a way to have this auto update or is this just wishful thinking on my end? Anyone knows if the Windchill Mobil functionality is available in WC 9.1?

I'm wondering if anyone has any insight to this problem.I'm attempting to use the solve block to simulataneously solve for 3 unknowns using 3 equations. When I try, it returns a "These units are not compatible" error on the last variable of the find function. It doesn't matter which variable is in the last spot, it is always that one that is incorrect.I'm attaching a screenshot of the values. Any help is greatly appreciated.
