Lets assume that this example has one putting a bearing onto an output shaft, driven by an input shaft through a set of gears. The large scale motion skeleton is set up, and works to allow the output shaft to rotate after defining gear connections. I want to simulate the motion of the bearing carrier, but is it possible to crate a motion skeleton within the bearing assembly then assembly it onto the larger Gear reducer assembly, or will I have to assembly it piece by piece? I want to allow myself to auto populate the BOM by the features contained inside the model, and to do this the bearing has to be assembled before it is put on.The only way I've done it before is to assembly the carrier onto the shaft separately from the inner and outer race, which causes it to show up in the model tree as two separate parts (in reality the bearing is pressed on as a single feature). Hi Everyone, I am new to PTC Creo and I am having issues solving a problem.I have a quarter inch tubing, 0.02" wall thickness, aluminum tube that is clamped on both sides ( ends can't move ). I know the acceleration vs. time of the mid point.I am trying to get displacement and strain of the bar vs. time. I would like to be able to input my acceleration vs. time table which I obtained from experimental testing.Is this possible ? and if so how could i do it ? Hi All,I have a problem. Here I discribe the case. A triplex plunger pump will produce water hammer. This will create a sinus wave, by opening the inletvalve and closing the inletvalve. I have 3 plunjers so 6 vibration sinus. I like to sum these sinus. See my enclosed worksheet.by calculating with my hand calculator I get an answer. In mathcad I get only 'zero' (0). What do I wrong.

I am creating a document in Mathcad 15 that is evaluating thermal resistances for me. For my own ease of use, I wish for all the resistances to be in units of K/W. Right now they default to K*s^3/m^2*kg. I know I can make each individual one go to the correct units by typing it in the right side after it's been evaluated. I have literally dozens of these resistances, and it is a real pain to have to change each individual one. I was hoping there was some way to tell it to automatically change K*s^3/m^2*kg to K/W. I've been messing with it for a while and can't figure out how. Anyone know? Or is this not a feature of Mathcad?Thanks,Alyssa

Does anyone know how to invoke an InfoEngine task directly in the browser with a URL? In Windchill V9.1, we used this method to create administrative tasks to correct data in our Windchill environment or to see if something was created when the attributes were not displayed in the UI. In Windchill 10.2, I keep getting an IEForbiddenException and I'm trying to see what needs to be changed. Is it the way we are using InfoEngine tasks or is there some configuration that is needed to allow this? Hi,I have created one subtype under the EPMDocument>CADDocument.it is called ABCCADDocument.I expected this to be available in the dropdown "Type" when I create a new CAD Document in the Workspace.But Iam only getting the parent CAD Document type only.I am sure that people have faced this issue.What is the solution to get the new subtype also in the UI of windchill.Please note that Iam creating the CAD Document not from CAD (Catia or Pro/E), but from the Windchill Workspace side, this is as per my company practise.The same behaviour is observed in the CAD Document creation screen through Create new part > "Create CAD Document" option checked.I appreciate your early responses.Iam able to perfectly create the object of type ABCCADDocument from CAD using the attribute "UPLOAD_SOFT_TYPE = <Domain>. hay guys and girls,is it possible to change the ribbon ui colour? this new colour pallet is bright as in neon bright. compared to the new 2015 autocad ui its like looking at the sun. basically I'm having a lot of trouble finding the buttons amongst all of the white especially now that button colour has been washed out as well.for now ill just whack the gamma down to almost nothingid rather not make a hundred macros with more contrasting icons but i will if i have to.so can we change this?

What is Difference between part and part master ?

HelloIm writing my master thesis and the idea is to have a reference file for all functionssadly if i do not write out the variabels before the function, i need to "call them" in the function nameending up with a function with 20 variables such asfunc(a,b,c,d,e,f,g, etc etc) and the function will not fit in a printable areaMy idea is therefor to put all values equal to 0 in the reference file and then rewrite the values when the reference file is usedsadly i fail to do so since the values from the reference files are used even when I rewrite them.The idea is that i want to do something like this, and in the "regular file" get the value 2 instead of 0I know this is a bad function but its used only to demonstrate my problem. Is there any way to rewrite the values from the reference file?Or do i really have to end up with a function in reference file as "func(a,b)=..."Appreciate your help since this is the last step left in my master thesis and all the programming is done properlyIm using

Hi,Usually, data are given by a chart/figure in picture form, such as JPG,TIF,BMP,PNG... Like below, it is the V-I charactristic of a diode.I want to get the V and corresponding I value, then I can get a fit function V(I) (or I(V) ).Although,we can read several more exact points by eye-measurement, and then get a fit function. I think the fit function will be more precise if we read more points.How can I do to extract as much points as possible? Any help will be appriciated. My MC version is "Mathcad 15 F000".

Hello,I am looking at trying to get a best fit curve line, say a quadratic to the data function at the bottom of document. My intent is to program in the dP(m) for the most part, disregarding the temperature and the pressure as those don't have a drastic effect on the curve considering my dP meter is from 0 to 20" of water. (about 3% at most)I was unsure if there is a simple way in mathcad rather than finding 3 pionts and setting my data to those 3 points for a best fit, to use the gen fit to find the coefficients.

i have been trying to convert this tube into sheetmetal.i have used shell command to do it but its not happening. i have tried it using publish geomerty and then copy the surface to new part and then flattening the quilt here it say unalble to regenerate the part.can anyone suggest where am i going wrong.

I must be getting tired.   How do I get this pattern to work? Ok, I am trying to model a stiffener between the two grey gussets shown below.I want to be able to use the inside of the gussets as references along with the red and orange plates. I am obviously a little confused on how to use Copy and Publish Geometry features in Creo. My counterparts did this using "Geometry Backup" shown below.How do I do the Geometry Backup shown for this stiffener? Thanks!

How can we monitor/check windchill queue status using windchill shell?(other than queue analyzer)

Hi folks,A simple solution to this problem I am sure...I am using Wildfire 5.0 and for the life of me can't get a sweep to display a smoothly curved rod. I need a 1.41 mm rod that is bent in a half circle. This is what I get displayed:Ihave used the sweep tool to create this. In WildFire 4.0 I could create a "Sketched datum point" but now I can not figure out how to do this in Creo 2.0. Is it possible? We are setting up CREO 2.0 M020 Schematics. We have gotten to the place that we want to print out our schematic. When I hit the OK from the Print screen, all that happens is the Print box closes and I do not get my windows printer or anything. I cannot even do a print preview. Has anyone else seen this? The dimensions from the 3D model shown in the draiwng is editable in Creo 2.0. It can be deleted easily with single click and delete button. Hello,I am rather new to Creo Parametric 2.0 (always used other programs).I add the splice using the Insert Component button in the Cabling ribbon.I am having trouble with splices and adding them in bundles.I end the bundle at the splice and start a new one, but one of the sides always comes up with an error that the cable diverges from the bundle and can't add them.The red one is the bundle above the splice.
