Hi @all,we have an item-type CR (Changerequest). This CR can have a child-item MR (Module-Request). The user should create this MR via click at the little button with the chain-symbol in the relationship-field ("create a related item and add it to the field"). CR and MR are different item-types, but they are using some fields together. So if the user do the above described action, the MR will be created and added to this relationship-field. So far so good. While integrity creates this new item, it copies all field-values from the fields which are the same in both items. But we dont want this. And we didnt find a way to prevent this. It seems that the settings in "copy fields" for this item will be ignored by Integrity for this usecase. Did i miss something?kind regards, Jens

I have a multitude of graphics in which the filename (i.e. "drawing1.cgm, drawing2.cgm, etc) needs to be added within the image area of the graphic. Can a macro be created to specifically target each file in the location they reside, copy the filename, open the graphic and paste into the graphic window?I can make a macro to "singly" do that task to one file...but now sure how to have it continuously go thru the files in a consecutive order.Thanks

The attached sheet poses a question about matrix math; I'm a bit confused apparently about multplying vectors and matrices. The symbolic math seems to indicate that I should get the same answer with either method, but the numeric application shows clear differences larger than rounding errors should allow.What am I missing??

dear,i have few prt and asm files made in PTC_Creo1.0 version. i want to open those files in proe 4.0. But by doing so i am getting an error that "<fille name> can not be retrieved". please tell me how can i open these files in proe 4.0thanks

Hey everyone, I just recently started an engineering internship and this company uses ProE WF4. I don't have any CAD work under my belt except for a semester at Purdue. I am having some troubles and can't seem to find a solution. I've tried looking around the forums with no luck, probably because I don't think it should be that hard to fix. Anyhow, my troubles are as follows. I created a sheetmetal part then flattened all of it using the unbend function in the right-hand side toolbar. I flattened the entire part to make a sketch on the flat surface in which I was trying to cut away some slots. the slots I was trying to cut away do go through a bend although my part fails to generate when I rebend the part (supress the unbend feature).Am I going about this the wrong way? I really get caught up with some of the nit-picky things in ProE, the software we used at Purdue sure seemed a lot more straight forward but I'm sure this software has its advantages as I'm aware it's used throughout m

Hi all,I'm rather new to Windchill, and I am attempting to install the Windchill application in a monolithic development environment. I have been having problems with the Solution installer. Hello, I just stumbled across the fact that, for a given view, I can show 1, 2, or more Cross Sections in the same view at the same time.   My first reaction was, 'Wow! That's great!'.   However, on reflection, I can't think of a reason why I would want to show more than one section in the same view. Am I missing something? Is there a good reason for showing 2 or more cross sections in the same view at the same time? Is this a brilliant feature I need to embrace and share with my users? This could be done in ProE WF4, but it looks absent from Creo2. We can even place a 3D Note in the model with a leader but when we change it from a planar surface to Flat to Screen the Leader disappears with apparently no ability to bring it back.   Any ideas on how to get a leader on at 3D note and have it still be oriented Flat to the Screen (meaning you can always read it Left to right no matter how you orient the model)?   See attached pictures for what I am hoping to do in Creo2. Is there associativity between workspaces? By this I mean when I export a file from Windchill, in this case a .asm assembly into one workspace, typically the active workspace, but I want to import a file from a different workspace into the current assembly that I am working on as soon as I start typing in the workspace search field the workspace changes from the second workspace that I am trying to import from back to the active workspace. If I activate the second workspace I receive a message that says "This operation will erase all objects in session. Do you want to continue?"Is it not possible to import a file from one workspace into another when constructing an assembly?I hope this makes sense. Basically my boss said to download Pro/E Creo. I google it but there are so many different kinds it so confusing. So i signed up for the university thingy which lets me download either Creo Elements/Pro and Creo 2.0 which are both formerly known as Pro/Engineering. SO which one should i get or is there a difference? Also can someone explain to me what happened to Pro/Engineering.

I can not create a Global Attribute in my 10.1 M040 Instance. It has been a few months since I last did so, but have no idea what changed since then that will not let me do so? I log in as wcadmin, go to Type and Attribute Management and try and create an attribute named GreenTags. This is the error I receive. Hello all, I am a fairly new user of Mathcad. I have a question about utilizing units with the polyfit function. I have experimental data relating temperature pressure and density. I wrote a program which needs to look up the density as a function of pressure and temperature. The original data was in excel, it had several curves for a few temperatures as a function of pressure.The data was very linear and the curves were fairly parallel, so i took the linear regression curves from excel and brought them into mathcad. I then created a program which allowed me to choose a temperature, it would then choose the two curves which the chosen temperature was between and linearly interpolated between the two points. I got this program to work with units and is the top portion of the attached file. I thought there must be a better way, so I decided to try the polyfit function. I imported the test data and utilized the polyfit function to "fill in" the holes in my data and create a polynomial to

Hi,I am currently a high school student looking to get into CAD. I have spent a lot of time with Inventor but I would like to move on to better software. I mainly do stuff with VEX parts for my robotics team but I'm having issues. Is it possible to import Autodesk parts into Parametric? When you first start an assembly whenever you bring a new assembly in it is highlighted a mauve color or dark pink and the 3D Dragger is displayed so that you can position the assemlby you are adding where you want it. After you click OK to accept the addition of the assembly the 3D Dragger is no longer available.My question is this, is there a way to select an assembly in the model tree that you have brought in to your new assembly and turn the 3D Dragger on again so that you can reposition the assembly? Is it possible for a user to view the contents of another user's workspace? Scenario: UserA wants to create a PDF representation of a current xml file. When UserA tries to do this they get a message asking if they want to use an older version\iteration. An older version\iteration exists in UserB's workspace. In order to create the representation, UserA needs to find out the identify of UserB and have them remove the older version\iteration from their workspace. How would UserA go about finding the identify of UserB and is it possible for UserA to remove the file from UserB's workspace? I'm assuming that UserA would require "superuser" or "admin" permission to do this. Let me know if any of the above is possible. Thanks.

I have been running a few models in creo two of a simply bolt holding two plates together. I want to load the plates in order to snap the bolt and examine the two ends.
