Why can't PTC let the AAX modul float? Now I have to buy more licenses and keep restarting the program...

How do you program this:

i am triying to install Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5.0 on win 7 64bit machine, however it fails around "Creat shortcuts and program groups".i have tried on several laptops and they are on domain computers and log on as an administrator.I could install it on win7 32bit machine.what is the problem? I am a mechanical engineer and working with the system administrator to implement Windchill 10 at our company. Once a part is checked-in, we would like the ability to rename the "number" in the system. We often start a new product with names like "block" and "screw". Once a product moves into to the quote stage, individual parts are given company part numbers. Is seems that once a part is in Whindchill we can not rename the "name" of the part. This option is greyed out. The work around that we are currently using is to do a save-as.From reading the help files it seems that we need to grant the Modify Identity Permission, but out sys admin does not have this option.Any help would be greatly apreciated!

I have a programming question that I've been unable to solve.I have a string of paired variable outputs, x and y. I would like to know what the programming lines would look like to compute the max value of x when y is positive. At some point in the string, y goes from positive to negative, while x continues to grow. On pages 22 and 23, Section 14.1 of this file are calculations for 7 different cases. Each case has a boolean expression to satisfy. I need to create some kind of loop that will start with the expression for case 1 and if that is satisfied return case = case 1. If case 1 doesnt satisfy the expression i need to look at case 2 and if that works return case = case 2 an dif not continue to case 3. I need the loop to follow this logic to find the first expression that is satisfied and return that case or go until it reaches case 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,I have a calculation sheet and the requirement is we need to know, when we input 3(positive) variables, how we can provide the auto loop in the calculation to check for different possible load cases, for example, we have three loads acts in positive direction and which results some reaction load at its support points and with this there will be eight possible cases of loading with deferent direction. Our requirement is to determine worst possible reaction load out of this eight cases with providing input variables in one case i.e Fx=+100kN Fy=50kN and Fz=150kN. Please see the problem stated in detail as below,We have a bolt and its family table created in the past with manual association of the WT Part and the generic Bolt part doneAfter the association the generic part is the owner and the family table instances become the content for the WT PartNow I create a new assembly in ProE and use the family table instance of the bolt (i.e the content) instead of the generic boltWhen I check the structure for the WT Part of the newly created assembly all the parts are present in the structureBut after performing any operation on the WT Part (like changing the state or doing check-in check-out) the WT Part for the instance goes missing from the Windchill structureThis happens only for the parts which have content as relationship with the WT PartIs there any way I can use part with 'content' as relation with the WT Partand still have it retained in the Windchill structure for th

Hall everybody,i want to create matrix 30x30 elements in Mathcad 14, why is it not possible? I must to make automatic worksheet and i can not make matrix with more than 600 elements. I'm getting ready to start Calculus and was wondering if any of you guys have used Mathcad to turn in for homework to give to your instructor(s)? What are the positives and negatives, (if any), for going this route instead of pencil and paper. Also, did your instructors accept using this technology or they wanted you to use traditional methods (pencil and paper).Reason why I wanted to start using Mathcad for homework was the simplicity of creating documents, a different learning experience, and a record of all my documents.

Is there any way to pack a Mathcad file as an application that can be run by somebody who doesn't have Mathcad?Thanks

Back in the day, someone showed me that you can take a ProE assembly and convert all the components to the assembly unit system.   Ex: Assembly units are MKS, Parts are a mix of MKS, IPS, mmKS, etc In 2001-WF4, in assembly mode, you would click: <Applications>, <Mechanica>, <Continue>, <Cancel> Bingo, all components have been converted to the new unit system. Hi everybody I have files (mostly cad files) that I want to move from a folder to the other in a Project (in projectlink) that are not in my PDM yet is it possible or am I missing something? I cannot manage to find the move action. The closest thing I found was to use edit attribut then select the folder location but I end up with a message telling me that this object is not valid for this operation, use the move action to do it. where is the move action in Project link??? I'm using windchill 9Thx

The "Help" (and I'm using that word VERY loosley) says to hightlight it and then right click to get the pop-up menu. Well, first you have to be in the "Review" tab to even pick it. But when you do, you do NOT get "Properties", which you should. The ONLY I've found to be able to modify a symbol already placed is to elect the "Annotate" tab. Then Alt-select (left-click) it to highlight it, only THEN do you get the "Properties" selection in the pop-up menu to change the symbol.Again, another example of somethig that would take seconds in WF4 to do, now takes over an hour just to FIND the command. And then it's far more difficult to use anyways with all the Alt-select-raise your left hand tnd throw salt over your right shoulder while counting backwards from 10 antics. Seriously. Someone PLEASE tell me how the Creo interface is somehow better or faster. I could have had this set of dwgs done in 1/10 the time if not less.Of all the complaints lodged against the interface here and elsewhere,

I have copy and pasted a table into editor and did not notice till the end that it had included a P element around each piece of text. Is there a way to remove all the P elements in my table and keep the text that is in them.Bryon

Hey everybody, I am very new to MATHCAD Prime 2.0, and I'm having a problem with the Solve Block tool. If you see the attached, on page 3 I'm trying to solve two equations for two variables. I'm guessing there's a problem with my syntax, but I followed the help file on the subject and I can't see what the problem is. Can anyone offer any advice?

I'm currently working on a Mathcad worksheet that adds the sums of two vectors and uses their result to solve an equation, but the variable I have defined to be the solved value keeps giving me the error that it isn't defined. I tried to break formula apart and the vectors are returning the error message "value must be a vector." Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.Talina
