Hello. I can't understand why I get an error "This value must be a scalar or a matrix" when I try to use a function inside another function. Can you fix this error and exlain me how to do it properly, please?

Need some help on modelling stuffSay I have two equations with simple polynomial formY1 = a1 X^2 + b1X +C1 at 50deg CY2 = a2 X^2 + b2X +C2 at 100deg CI need to model a master equation that can predict any equation between 50C and 100CSay what for example what will be the new equation at 55C based on above two equations. That means we need to predict any equation( at specified temperature) with these two equations as boundary conditions.Any suggestions ?

I'm trying to use a solve block with MathCad but I'm getting an undefined variable error. I'm not using units and the equation is using all variables defined. Hello,I've attached a mathcad document explaining what I am trying to achieve. To simply for explanation purposes, I have have a few intial givens:a b c dthe first equation calculates a number based on the givens.the second equation calculates the next number based on the first equationthe third equation calculates the next number based on the second equationthe number in the third equation is added to a few of the givens, and the cycle repeats itself.Could somebody help me write this program?The mathcad document explains it in more detail.Thanks!!!!!

Hi!, I'm really new to creo and i've been trying to model some basic real world items. Currently, I've been trying to find a way to extrude a curved surface ON a curved surface (i.e http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_S57BC5oDY9s/SFyHztKA20I/AAAAAAAAAGc/2mIv53O6iI8/s1600/Joint+Push+Pull+03.jpg) (I know it isn't creo, but it illustrates what I want). Basically, i'm trying to make extrudes off a curved surface(a drink can for example) AND i want these new extrudes to have the same curvature as the drink can.   thanks so much if anyone can help!

Am really having worse of luck with 15. I saved and closed the attached file, all looked fine. Then did a back up.When trying to reopen the file, get a message indicating the content is corrupted: Reason: equal expected, line 665, position 61.Must have happened when closing the file, because the back up is corrupted too, with same error.Is there a chance the file can be recovered?

While Creo has nice taskbar integration, Pro/E won't even pin properly. For all my efforts I haven't managed to get a Pro/E icon that looks like Pro/E to launch the app and be grouped with the open windows.I wondered if anyone had written their own launcher for Pro/E that shared the necessary tags to be grouped with the Pro/E windows? If so, please could you share it?Thanks

Good afternoon All,I understand the basics of explicit functions in MathCAD, however I am not able to figure out how to have an equation list the numerical values of each variable included in an equation. For instance, I am trying to calculate the total surface area of a concrete storm sewer junction box to determine the total formwork needed. The total surface area would be calculated as the sum of the exterior/interior 4 sides and exterior/interior top and bottom. The following is an example of my workflow:a=sides=2 ft^2b=top=3 ft^2d=bottom=4 ft^2f=total=a+b+dI would like the valuves of a,b and d listed in my equation. When I attempt the explicit calculation I type: f=a+b+d, explicit,a,b,d. The result I receive is: f=a+b+c,explicit,a,b,d-->a,b,d=9 ft^2. How can I have the explicit function show: f=a+b+c=2 ft^2+3 ft^2+4 ft^2=9 ft^2?The tutorial sheets in MathCAD do not show how to have an equation show the values, only the operation shown (i.e. F1=1, A1=2, F1/A1, explicit, F1, A1 -

I need help quickly. Why did the pattern of the screw component go halfway in? The screw is 3" long and went 1.5" into the member.The screw that is sunk in completely was fully assembled and then I selected it for a Pattern to an array of datum points that I previously set up. See the lil diameter symbol in the feature name? I used to be able to do this, and now I cannot. Whenever I go to type the alt+ characters, it will not accept them and boots me out of editing the feature. Anyone know how I can get this functionalty back? I am using 5SPICE (5SPICE is an inexpensive SPICE program I use but it doesn't have any processing power beyond presenting the waveforms at various points in the circuit.) to do some circuit analysis and exported the data after clean up to Excel 2010. However, Excel can no longer handle time based data. So I am attempting to transfer the data to Mathcad 15 or Prime 1 or 2. It seems that Excel converted the data to scientific notation so I'll have to go back to the 5SPICE data file and start over.I'm looking at a 5 millisecond window but it has over 8,000 data points. The task is to calculate the rms current in the input capacitor of a switched mode circuit. I could do it manually by integrating the area but that's not very accurate and I want to try several variations in the switching time, load current, components etc. I'm fairly new to Mathcad and thought this would be a good learning experience. Just trying to tap into the vast knowledge base here......Have an assignement coming up where we will have to classify a set of data via a frequency chart.I intend to implement in Mathcad, but have never heard about this frequency scale on the chart. The Professor gave no references we could look up on the origin of the chart. He said he would give us instructions in Excel at a later date on how to build such a chart. Am curious if anybody here would be familiar with such a frequency plot and implementation in Mathcad?From what I could see in class, the frequency scale on the absicissa starts at .01, with 50 in the middle of the axis and ends at 99.99. I'd say on this scale 1 would be about a third of the way to 50 and 20 at 2/3 of the way, then symetry on the other side of 50 with 70 at 1/3rd of the way to 99.99 and 99 at 2/3rd of the way.Anybody familiar with this "frequency" scale and its origin/background and how to

Hi all!I have a problem getting the zero points and the asymptotes for my function through using Solve Block (see attachment).For the zeros I am getting as a result from find() only one value (but the function has two zero points between 700 MHz and 2700 MHz), and this value is wrong (is not in the defined range of frequencies under "constraints").For the values of the asymptotes no idea how to get them.Any help please?P.S. Is it possible to draw the asymptotes directly on the plot region?P.S. Is there any possibility to zoom in the graph ?

As part of an iteration program, Odesolve in a solve-block fails when one or more of the (positive) initial conditions is too large. Of course, a priori, I do not know how large is "too large." This failure causes the program to cease functioning, but the failure is itself information that needs to be returned to the program so that it continues to run. How can I guard against this failure? Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm trying to igure out a way to create this chamfer without doing a sweep. Please see image.I need a chamfer on the edge, between the two points. I can do stop at reference, but can't seem to select more than one point on which to stop. As you see, I need it between two points. I can't seem to find the option for stop cases, either. HalloI have trouble to invert a [8x8] Matrix symbolically.Mathcad starts to invert the Matrix but even after hours (if Mathcad doesn´t crash before) it doesn´t finish the calculation.There is one unknown variable "ϕr" in it, could this be the reason why Mathcad can´t finish the calculation?Please have a short look at my Mathcad File for better understanding.I´m using Mathcad 15 and the Matrix i´d like to invert is named " Nr(ϕr)" at the bottom of the calculation.I am very grateful for any help.

Is it possible in MathCAD Prime 2.0 to find the determinant of matrix that has variables in some of the matrix positions? The determinant would be a polynomial. Would this be best described as “symbolically finding the determinant of the matrix?”
