Trying to install ThingWorx foundation trial and stepping through the installation guide online, but it keeps failing with just a generic error message. I'm making sure to run the install as an administrator.   I've attached the error message coming up during the failed install, as well as my command prompt output for Java version and accessibility to keytool.   The system I'm trying to install it on is Windows 10 Pro (I've also tried running the installer on compatibility mode Win 8), 4 cores, and 16GB memory, with well over 100GB storage available.    Any assistance/ideas appreciated.

Hi,   I am connecting Mysql through odbc client. The records in my database table are of 5 rows but the default "Maximum Records to Import " is 3  and not allowing me to increase above this. So in kepserver only 3 out of 5 rows are shown. Path: Kepserver>Tag Generation Options>Maximum Records to Import  I am doing this in trial version of Kepserver in my system. But in other system this is not the case(also using trial version).   What is this issue?   Thanks, Sri1

I am using date time picker widget on a popup.When I clicked year dropdown,It is showing list on the top of main mashup screen. Please resolve the issue asap.

So 2 have two models in 2 different modes: syn and asyn   model = pfcSession.GetCurrentSession().GetCurrentModel(); connection = pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect(null, null, null, 20); model = connection.GetSession().GetCurrentModel();   I have checked and both models are valid and I have no issue casting the TableOwner tableowner from the two models. However, I cannot get a list of tables with async mode   TableOwner tableOwner = (TableOwner)model; if(tableOwner!=null) { tableOwner.ListTables().getarraysize(); }   tableOwner is not null but ListTables() actually returns null error. I am not sure if I do not cast it properly or I need something special to make it work.    

hi,   I had followed the steps mentioned in the following thread:  https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/PrintButton-Extension-project/m-p/532671 but whenever I click the Print button, It result into opening a new Tab which is stuck in loading state. and there is no content or any web url in the Tab. Please help me in resolving the issue. see the attached snapshot:    

I'm doing some testing on an instance of 9.0.2 and I tried importing a JDBC extension that uses the 7.2 version of the MS SQL JDBC jar file, however, I got an error indicating a new version was available (that I did not import).   After further review, I found a newer version of the MS SQL JDBC jar file buried in the Thingworx web application file:   C:\..\Tomcat 9.0\webapps\Thingworx\WEB-INF\lib   File: mssql-jdbc-7.4.1.jre8.jar   Questions: With TWX 9.0, do we no longer have to have a specific extension installed to connect to MS SQL databases? When creating a new connection to MS SQL Server for a TWX application, do we just use the "Database" Thing Template, and configure accordingly? Method in #2 above is working, it's just different than what I'm used (started with 7.4). I think this is great, but want to be sure I'm using this as expected.

Hello,   I look for the good practice of dependencies management across multiple Java extensions. I work on a project where we have developed multiple Java extensions and where we use standard extensions. We always facing troubles with JAR dependencies across extensions and we finish to comment jar resource dependency within the metadata.xml in order to import extension. Moreover in some cases we need to know the order of import of extensions.   For example: - We have imported the extension DataExporter which contains the jar poi-4.0.0.jar - We need to import a custom extension which depends on poi-4.1.2.jar   And from here we can't import our custom extension. Checking ThingWorx system JARS conflict(s) detected [package: XXXXXX]. A workaround for this situation, as mentioned earlier, is to comment the poi-4.1.2.jar in the metadata.xml and rely on the existing  jar poi-4.0.0.jar already imported in the platform.   Do you guys have a cleaner workflow? Hello,   I am just working on a internal company projects where we have a sheet metal body with ventilation slots. Those slots I made with the "filling"-function. The lower left rectangle is the base which was filled over an area which I sketched, let´s say a filling frame.   Now I wanted to insert an area in the middle of those ventilations slots where I can laser the companys logo into but I am not sure, when I use this model, if the process is done correctly...see attached - I can still see the slots lined up and able to choose but the insert rectangle has the same thickness like the sheet metal around it...   Is there any solution which is suitable for this case?! Or do I have to make 4 filling areas (1upper, 1 lower, 1left and 1right of the inner rectangular)? - I hope not...   Thanks in advance.

Hi - I need to place a square button inside a square hole, and am using the slide mechanism so I can limit the resting and depressed positions.  But being a button, I need to allow for a small clearance gap on all four sides.  When I select the hole and button corner edges for the axis alignment, it fixes as a coincident constraint and doesn't let me set offsets.    How do I get round this so I can limit the distance the button can be depressed but also specify a clearance gap on all four sides?   Can I create a datum axis in mid air on the hole piece which I can align the button with?  I have read another post where someone mentioned using a planar joint instead - I have tried this for a while but cannot make it work; when I set as i think it should be, the piece can be dragged all over the place!   Thanks

Hi,I'm working with Creo Parametric 6.0 and I'm making drawing of simple part. When I've done this drawing I've created a copy of this origin drawing (File->Save As->Save a Copy). Then I made some changes inside the copy (mainly deleting some dimenssions) and i I saved it. When I opened the origin drawing I realized that dimenssions which I remove in copy have been also removed in origin drawing. It looks like the changes made in copy influence on origin file. Is there some way to turn off this influence?Thank you in advance for all answers!

Hello! The contractor performed work on connecting temperature sensors via the SiemensS71200 controller to the SCADA system via the Modbus TCP\IP Protocol. But they made the connection directly, bypassing our existing opc server. I'm currently trying to add this controller to our kepserverex 5.13, but it doesn't work. I always get _FailedReads in the _Statistics tab. In this case, the controller is pinged. Moreover, I get correct responses from the same ip address and modbus addresses in the opc server of another manufacturer. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Port: 502 Screenshots include

Hi,   For a proof of concept, i need to do an IOT setup at a client's premises using Thingworx and Kepserver. There is no licence for any of these, and i am using the trial versions. I have installed the Thingworx Foundation. I want to add the manufacturing app extension. How do i do so.   I know how to download and install extensions if we have licence. Hi in KepServerEX6 I created a channel ODBC Client to get data from a Access database. I created a Device for a table and successfully generated a tag. Now I would like to get data from other tables. I created another device (correct ? ) but the tag generation return error "Unable to generate a tag database for <MY DEVICE>:Automatic tag generation for device <MY DEVICE>' refused due to active client connections" I read another topic , same error. The suggestion was to 'Close all OPC client connections to the device and retryAutomatic Tag Generation' but how can I verify the open connections and close them ? Many Thanks  

We are currently trying to set up our manufacturing department with view permissions for design state documents and download permissions for released state documents. We are using the Access Control under Policy Administration but it seems we are unable to get the desired results. Is this the proper method? We have PDF files, STP files, and Excel files that the Manufacturing department need to use. We want them to be able to download the PDF files if they are at a released state and to only view them if they are at a design state. These files are uploaded as reference documents to the WTPart that also includes the prt, asm, drw files.

Is it possible to reuse publishing settings created in File >Options > Illustarate > Publishing > 3D/2D Publishing? Now, whenever new file is created (File > New) - I have to recreate settings manually.
