Hi - I'm new to mechanisms contstraints, but getting there.   I have a problem where I have a door handle that can be depressed through a limited arc.  There is also a button on the handle which can be depressed.  I have set up the constraints for both of these pieces, but the problem is when I drag the button to the different positions on screen, the whole handle moves (through the arc) on the screen too.  How do I set up so that I can drag the button to different on/off positions but I don't change the angle of the handle?  Each piece should be independently movable without moving any other part.   Counter to that, I can move the handle through the arc and the button stays in the position and doesn't move, so i know it can be done   Thanks..

Hi community,  I have a struggle with an exploded assembly, more specific the rotating portion in the exploded view.   When I go into explode on the assembly and instead giving a distance I give an angle and select the rotating axis and the components I want to rotate around the selected axis, it does so…but…the specified angle in my case 9.5 Deg shows up on the drawing as 8.5 Deg           Anybody else has had this issue? Anybody has a fix for this? Any help will be highly appreciated Thanks in advance Andreas

Hi,   I am able to create a value stream object using the service CreateThing under Resource - EntityServices : connectedClient.invokeService(RelationshipTypes.ThingworxEntityTypes.Things, "SampleValueStream", "CreateThing, vc, 5000); and vc object contains the thingtemplate = "ValueStream".    Now I need to assign the PersistanceProvider to this value stream and also add the properties it will hold the data of. I can see the services listed in Thingworx composer UI - SetPersistenceProvider, AddPropertyDefinitions which can be used for these functionalities.    But I do not see the entity type ValueStream available in class 'RelationshipTypes.java' for accessing the services via connectedThingClient's invokeService() api.   Can anyone please help me how to specify the entityType and access these services via invokeService() api?   Regards, Vaishnavee

Hello,   I find the alt+middle-mouse-button tool very useful for rotating. Often I am looking at some small corner of my part, far away from the part origin, and using this tool keeps the part right there in the middle. The middle-mouse-button (MMB) drag, on the other hand, works fine when I'm zoomed out, but I use the alt+MMB shortcut much more often. Is there a way I can swap these? So that the current alt+MMB behavior happens with just MMB?

Hello,   I am asking for a co-worker who called and described over the phone.   He says he is creating dimensions on a drawing, but when he goes to change aspects of the dimension like tolerance type, etc. The areas are greyed out leaving no options.   I feel like this has happened to me in the past once or twice. I was thinkin something is either locked or read only. He can save the drawing aftr creatinf the dimensions. We have a table in the front matter which has a title. Since there is no chapter it shows Table .1: What should the condition look like in the title in table element to select a title in table in front matter. I can remove the generated text, but need to figure out how to select the correct instance. We are using the techinfo application. In the ditamap it is techinfomap, coverpage, then two topicrefs before the toc. Any table before the toc would not get a chapter number.   Thanks Bryon

Greetings all.  I am working through the IoT Modeling with ThingWorx program through PTC Academy and am running into issues with M6:19 Aggregator Service.  Step 36 asks me to execute the "Rollup" service, but when I do, I get the error:  Error executing service Rollup. Message :: TypeError: Cannot call method "GetPowerConsumers" of null - See Script Error Log for more details.I am new to ThingWorx (obviously, since I'm taking programs through the Academy) so this could be something very easy to resolve, however, I haven't been able to figure it out.  Any suggestions?

Hi, hoping you're doing just fine..   I'm pretty new with thingworx and I need to develop mashups that read/write data from/to SQLServer and handle some of that data to do custom reports   So, I have some troubles to store sql results in a database entity to use in the example mashup that I've been working   what I did was:   - Create a test data shape with the sql table structure: - Create a test data table with the adding the shapes I just create:     - Create a Database Thing that make the connection to SQL server and in a javascript do the query.... you'll se the results down (I also tryied to set the test data shape in the output and nothing)           - In the database thing I also added properties     From there I'm lost, I don;t know how to set the properties with the data returned   Can you help me with some code to base on, so I can store the values in the properties and display in a widget (can be a gri

Hello, When I'm adding relations to repeat region they don't work. For example I added:    if ASM_MBR_TYPE=="Bulk item"     QTY=5   else     QTY=rpt_qty   endif   and the qty of bulk items is not changed.   Also I want to have a possibility to add more simple BOM balloons to bulk items and other items, without REF balloons, because they don't merge and it's a problem for me, I tried a lot of ways to make it and it don't work also. I will be grateful for any help 🙂

I downloaded Creo 7 Student. When I open the program for the first time it pops up with a "Warning Message List" that says "License request failed for feature." I'll press OK, and then another message that says "AFX failed to load." I'll press OK, and then another message pops up that says "IFX failed to load." I'll press OK after that and it will close out the program.

Hi,   I'm using QueryNamedPropertyHistory to fetch data from Value Stream and bind it to Mashup. But using same timestamp(start and end date) differently,causing partial data fetch. Here is the scenario. I have a data record at 2020-10-20 09:00:00.000 1.  Execute service with start date (2020-10-20 08:00:00.000) and end date (2020-10-20 10:00:00.000), timerange is 2 hours. result = empty record for that Property   2. Execute service with start date (2020-10-20 12:00:00.000) and end date (2020-10-20 10:00:00.000),timerange is 10 hours. result = expected record   so same record is being fetched when time range is more but no records found when time range is closer to the actual record timestamp.   Additional Info: when using QueryNumberPropertyHistory with same date 24 hours timerange for that Property, able to see only 8 records in actual.   when using QueryPropertyHistory with same date 24 hours timerange , can see multiple records with rep

Recently changed a part modeled with a countersink to a countersink with a counter bore. It is a simple part with this feature patterned once. By doing this, though, the pattern is lost. Why would this happen if all of the changes are make within the "Hole" feature for the first hole?

Hi    I am using TWX Platform 8.0+ in Google Chrome Browser. I have 3 mashups under my current project for which I am getting the following pop-up - "Could not load "mashup_name" - internal exception 1". This is not the case in IE though.  I kindly request to please advise on the work around
