I have a problem with removing material in Creo Parametric 7.1. The remove material setting is inactive. The first feature is solid as you can see. Strange situation, in Inventor it works fine. The plane on which the sketch is located is tangent to the cylindrical surface below.  

Hi,   I want to all of the service use a unified way of raise error message ,  so the the service will call the wrapped service like RaiseError service instead of javascript statement "throw new error" when raising error.    The problem is that you can only find the line number of RaiseError service in the application log for any service while I need the original position where RaiseError is called .    So can I get the call stack with information of line number so that I can log a more specified error info ?    Regards, Sean

Hi everyone,    I'm trying to get a workflow to trigger when a user submits a new document as part of a development project. I found this bit of code that pretty much does the trick: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/Auto-Create-wt-document/m-p/318327#M37355  I have the code in an expression robot in a workflow that's called in a phase process. By changing the wt.doc.WTDocument bits to wt.change2.DesignReview (in theory) I'd be set BUT... there is no wt.change2.DesignReview in the JavaDoc (we're on 11.2.1.4).   By putting in wt.change2.WTChangeRequest2 etc. the workflow functions just fine. Except I don't want to auto create a change request. I need to auto create a Design Review.    Any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed? Is this an intentional omission by PTC or am I looking at the wrong place in the documentation?    Many thanks!

I have tried with login by organization URL but when I log in with any user it will show me a blank mashup I have one organization name as "rezone" which under there are sub-organization which shows I below image Each organization unit include it group which contained many users, SuperAdmin - super admin group Admin - admin group Trainer- trainer   I want to give visibly permission to each group so that whenever I am login with any user it will show his related mashup after login. EX. If I log in with super admin user I want to show the super admin dashboard mashup after login same when admin login I want to show the admin dashboard mashup and, when trainer login I want to show the trainer dashboard mashup.   How will I achieve this? please suggest( I'm using Thingworx 9.0)

Can you show annotations / Gtol's in an External inheritance or External merge model? Original model:     External merge model does not seem to carry the annotations along.   External inheritance model does carry the annotations along.   However, I am unable to show the annotations in the External inheritance model.     Any help would be greatly appreciated.        

All - I need some help making a Toggle widget larger to support mobile design. I'm wanting to make the size of the "rectangle" larger and it looks like CSS is the only option.  My problem is that I do not know what to do in the CSS to make this happen.  Any help would be appreciated.   Toggle Size needing to make larger. Note, the "Partial" button at the top of the image is about the size of a finger tip on the mobile. I'd like the toggle to be the same size.   Below is some CSS I'm trying. I know little about CSS, so any help is much appreciated.   Also, it's important to note that this is all embedded in a Collection Widget.   Thanks for the help.

When connected to a school network, when registering the Windchill server, we get the error "Invalid server location. Please change the "Location" field and try again."This computer has been recently connected to Windchill and I can connect this in an external browser.Any hints/tips?Thanks,Josh

Creo is reading the config.pro file over the public network. Therefore, all users have the same working directory. I want to set the working directory folder to the local folder of all users. In addition, I want this to be done automatically, without users doing anything. Is it possible?

My company finally upgraded from Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 with Windchill 9 to Creo 3.0 and Windchill 10.Before installing Creo on my laptop, I cleared my workspaces and deleted my cache. Creo is working and can find a license without issue. However, when I try to register the Windchill server under "server management", it fails to connect when I click "check" and then I am asked to check the server location. I know the URL is correct as it is working for my coworkers. I can access Windchill through Internet Explorer on my laptop also. I have tried reinstalling Creo, restarting my computer, and trying to connect with and without the wireless connection.I've tried researching this issue and the only solution I came across involved deleting the cache which I have done several times.I'm out of ideas. Can someone please help?thanks!

  Second column is the radial break at different tensile strengths from a detonating blasthole  Third column is the value of tensile stress for radial break of column two, This is the formula that uses the above input to calculate the number of cracks at each tensile strength for each radial distance away from the blasthole. I am using the chart component to plot the number of cracks for each break radius.  How do I set up Y and X to  get a plot? I believe I need to change the vectors to scalars. I have posted my worksheet. Please refer to page 2 only.      

Reaching out to Navigate community 🙂 We are rolling out Thingworx Navigate app which will be used by pretty larger user base. We need to have some folks to go into Thingworx platform doing very specific tasks like managing users and user groups.    What is the best practices for such admin group for Thingworx Platform. Hi, I'm New to PTC and this kind of technologies.   Is it possible to make connection between Trial version of Thingworx iot foundation and Trial Vuforia studio. The Thingworx iot foundation which i'm using is 30 day hosted(cloud) trial version from "https://developer.thingworx.com/en/profile/hosting"  and where there is no any login option, and we can use it as a 30 day trial for a guest. The vuforia studio i'm using is a 30 day trial version locally downloaded("http://localhost:3000/" ),where i'm loginned with my PTC credentials. I think this is the exact reason why i cant get my ioT data in vuforia studio. So if any body have the idea about how to import my iot data from thingworx to vuforia studio please help........And i'm expecting a fast response because the days are counting..hehehe..(trial version)  

I'm trying to define a function where a,b and R are constants. I set the labels to constant but I get an error. 

how do I specify in my relations how to control the values of the csys dimensions by a mass properties report for a specific rep?   this is what i've done so far: I created a cg csys referencing the default acs0 csys   used the following for relations: $d438=mp_cg_x("","ACS0","")$d439=mp_cg_y("","ACS0","")$d440=mp_cg_z("","ACS0","")   all this works great as long as its the master rep, but I need the value to show for a simplified rep.   so i'm guessing somehow there has to be a way in the relations to tell it to get the value from a specific rep to drive the new CG location.   thanks everyone

HiWe have some fairly large assemblies which we want to show on a drawing.The problem is that on sheet 1 we use a simplified rep called Default with a BOM and BOM Balloons.On sheet 2 we have a simplified rep called Inspection_side with several components hided.We want to use the numbers from the BOM on sheet 1 to show up on Balloons on sheet 2.OTB it's not possible, but have any of you some good ideas??

Hi,   I am developing a application in OTK C++. I want to deploy it on client's machine. But I don't want user to go to 'Auxiliary application' every time, selecting creo.dat file and registering the application.   Currently I know a way- doing it first time and using option - Save the Auxiliary Application User Interface. But the process still needs to be done atleast one time manually.   Is there any way, with which we can add a ribbon, buttons and these ribbon will be there even in new session by any other way, like running a .bat file or .exe or some thing simpler solution than Save the Auxiliary Application User Interface.   Thanks

Hi,  Where can I download the lastest protocal adapter toolkit(PAT) ?   Which thingworx platfom version does it supports now ?  I latest document I can find is 1.5.1 from here  , but it seems the highest supported version is 8.5.0, my customer is current using 8.5.5.  Where can I find the latest document of PAT ?  The help center has link about it , but the page of the link doesn't has information of PAT    Regards, Sean
