I realize I am very late to the party but we are just now upgrading to PDMLink 10. Am I missing something or is it not possible to open the links from a search result into multiple tabs?IE if I search on a part number and I want to open the CAD object and the WT object that the search results returned in separate tabs is that possible?

We are working from a Parts List in Windchill,  which creates a c3di file. When we Update Illustration and open the c3di file in Illustrate, every part that has an Item Number will have an annotation applied to it. So if I have 50 parts in the model, all of the parts will have an annotation when it is first opened. Also, when I make a new Figure, it does the same thing. It does this every time you open the c3di file whether it was saved like that or not.Is there a command that tells Illustrate to automatically populate every Item Number by default in some config file somewhere? I tried looking but I couldn't find anything. Windchill 11.1 Illustrate 6.0   Mike

I'm trying to create a query with filters based around some dates but I'm not clear on how I can create a filter where I know a value might be null/undefined.   For my example, I have startDate and endDate in a data table.  Start is always defined.  End might be defined or might not be.  (If there is an end date, the record expires;  if not, it lasts forever.)   So generically, my query needs to be something like:if startDate <= currentdate AND (endDate > currentDate OR endDate is null)   However, I can't figure out a way to accomplish the null/undefined check.  I've a tried a few things, but none of them remotely worked.  (Combinations of EQ, LIKE, null, undefined, "", etc.)   Any ideas?  It doesn't seem like this should be that hard...   Thanks, Tony

MathCAD after being launched shows in the task bar and in task manager, but the window is completely off the screen and cannot be seen. Is there a command that will bring the window back on to the screen?

For some reason, the horizontal bars of the label chart widget does not line up with the y-axis values.  I have a value of 1 but the bar height looks below 1.  This occurs with other values as well.  Please see the image below.  

I am trying to display timestamp in local time where the asset is located (local time = asset time).  I try to do this by 1.  storing the local time in UTC time (server time) on the server (no offset) 2.  get the timezone offset using the user's IP (user is person viewing the mashup) 3.  add the timezone offset to the startDate and endDate of the query 4.  subtract the timestamp value by the timezone offset value to display the data in the grid in asset time   This works great except the part when there was a daylight savings adjustment in the past. Please see image below:   All of these records were restored with 00:00:00 for time, but you can see that the time shifted by 1 hour when daylight savings started on March 8th, 2020 in the US.  When I use the timezone offset in step #2, I am using the current offset, which is -7.  When I apply this to the query, it is applying it to all records even though some records need offset of -8 due to da

I am having trouble with ThingWorx Extensions. If I import ThingWorx Extensions, the system says that it is successfully imported and I can also see the extensions listed in ExtensionManagerListing. However, I can't find it in the system. For example, if the extension contains widgets or resources, I can't find it at all. Moreover, when I tried to uninstall, it shows an error pop-up saying that "Extension Package deletion failed: Unable to Invoke Service DeleteExtensonPackage on PlatformSubsystem: null" I tried 2 extensions from PTC, custom widget and CSV parser. Both extensions give the same result. I am using ThingWorx 9.0.1-b103

Hi,   I had query whether there is a way that I can call a service, only if another particular service is invoked, i.e. lets say I have a service 'A' and a service 'B'. I want my service 'B' to run or be called or invoked only in the case that the service 'A' is invoked. Within a mashup there is the service invoke trigger that can be used for this purpose but i need a trigger similar or the same to be used within a subscription to call a service. I do not want to use within the mashup I want to use this trigger at the back end or outside the mashup.   Please let me know if there is any way for the same.    Thanks in advance Srijith

Hello, i am having issue with my customer id and sales order number. When i try to open an account on PTC.com it says that they dont match. I have recieved an email with the Customer ID and Sales Order Number from the software shop asknet which is associated with my University Duisburg Essen, nevertheless it says that dont match. I have tried contacting asknet and my university and ptc multiple times, both via email and over telephone, no one has been able to provide with a solution. Is there a student or anyone who have faced similar problem of the Customer ID and Sales Order number not matching. Please Help. Thanks in advance.

Dear devs,   I am currently developing a dashboard (mashups) with textboxed, bound to buttons that in turn call services. As for now, I show success/error message from another textbox. but I would like to beautify the design and therefore add some popup/snackbar to display messages. Hi Guys.    Good evening.. i need your help.. well basically, teacher want to me to install Creo 3.0 from MED-100WIN-CD-400_M190_Win64 onto all student machines. Now i have read all the instruction on how to install Creo 3.0, when it comes to section where i have Run - setup-schools.exe and i have right click the file and select " Run as Administrator" - Successfully done then i click install new software then click Next - Successfully then i accept the licence agreement then click Next - Successfully  then i cannot see any list of Creo programs in the box as its all white box.  What can i do to get to see list of Creo Programs which i can install or not etc.   Please advice me please.    Look forward to hear from you soon.. Hello all,   I am using Excel for pattern definiton, this can be achived with the config option "part_table_editor excel", which is amazing. This is really handy, because I receive information about connector locations via the Excel format. I can specify angles and other dimensions.   For hole definition I plan to use the save sketch function. This way I can make sure that all the holes used for particular purpose are the same. Single source definition you could call it. This way I deny the possibilites of mistakes that one hole is a bit different then the other.   We use PTC Creo parametric 4.0 and Windchill. Now I was wondering, where are the Excel files and sketch files stored? Are they stored with the part? Meaning that if I release the part in windchill, the excel file and sketch file are also locked?   Kind regards

  My Team have recently upgraded ThingWorx to 8.5 from 8.3. As a normal user, I am getting the above REST service failure: Unauthorised when I tried to create a new Thing using the Generic Thing Template. Is this a permission issue? If so, where and which permission do I need to get the admin to set?   The error in logs is {Not authorized for ServiceInvoke on GetHandlerDefinitions in ConfiguredThing.} The admin have tried setting permissions for visibilities, run time and design time on the Generic Thing Template but it is not working.

Hello to everybody. To define loops in mathcad, any release of it, I use the simple statement "m=1,2..nmod", where in this case nmod is the maximum number of modes for an electromagnetic calculation. Since my background was in fortran or similar languages, I initialized a variable "totcap:=0" and then I tried to increase this value calculating each time terms to be added with respect to the previously calculated one, updating the quantity "totcap", ending the loop with the statement "return m", being m the index that I defined. Actually, but probably is my trivial error in using Prime, it seems that I mixed variables that cannot be summed... Attached is the file. May you help me?
