Hi! I`m new to mathcad and I couldn`t find any solution for my problem in the internet and here.  I`ve attached a picture with my problem, where  I`ve solved an equation and couldn`t define  a  solved variable(marked in green) so it will be used in the next equations (I needed to define it manually).   Tnx for the help in advance!   P.S. I`m using mathCAD Prime 4.0

I have a workflow that has 4 optional routes and the user can choose any combination of routes, at the end I have an AND connector because I need it to wait for all routs that were selected to finish but the AND connector is waiting for all 4 routes to finish and in most of the cases only 2 or 3 routes will be chosen.   PTC tech support has not been much help so I am looking to the community.   I attached a word doc to help better explain my needs.   Thank you,

Spell Check.  Please use it on the title, the body, the entire article! 2. Review process. Why are so many mistakes getting through?3. Grammar and style. e.g., links on a page should stand out and not look like the rest of the text (see my comments on CS183915 for an example)  Does your team utilize a style manual?   I was heavily involved at my previous employer in KCS as an Author, Reviewer, Publisher and some coaching. After working with PTC support and the PTC DB for almost 2 years now, I had to get this off my chest.  These are all common problems that are relatively easy to fix.  You have excellent products and your support materials should be nothing less :  )    

Hi,does anyone know how I can hook into a file transfer job complete event. I have a mash up which can kick start a file transfer from the edge to a file repository thing. Is there a way that I can hook into a notification that the transfer was completed successfully?I am using the  FileTransferSubsystem Copy service to do the actual transfer. I can see that one of the parameters for the service is ​async​ which is currently set to false.async - Should the service wait for the copy to complete - BOOLEANI would prefer not to wait for the transfer complete in the service if possible as files might be quite large.I notice that the copy service returns a result  - INFOTABLE - Aspects {dataShape:FileTransferJob} . Is there some way I can use this. I thought maybe I could use the transferId​ parameter and a timer to check if the job was done by using FileTransferSubsystem IsTransferJobActive ​service? Likewise it would also be good to know if it failed.Thanks,K

Hi gentlemen,I'm using the MQTT extension to get values from my home-automation system. The problem is, that in e.g. the property BRIGHTNESS the MQTT text is a long "story" and not the value itself: This is the String: {"val":150,"ts":"1460135379176","lc":"1460135379176","hm_addr":"MEQ0246804:1"}Now I want to use the DataChange event to create a small snippet that transfer the value in my new property BRIGHTNESS_NUMBER. Also the last String "MEQ..." is interesting to me and I want to post this into another variable if not already set in the same Thing.Could anyone help me with the parsing? The String is with the {} at the begin and end. "," is the separator and ":" the separator between the property and its value.Thanks a lot.

Hi, I'm working on some project and I'm using CREO parametric 3.0. I'm having a problem to identify the spline method implemented in Parametric 3.0. Which type of spline equation used in CREO? Using Creo 4.0 and I'm trying to get a part that can be in both a rolled state with flanges and a flat state. I have tried all sorts of combinations of creating the roll first then the flanges, making a flange all the way around, extruding out the tabs, and then trying to roll it. When I can get the final part the way I want and select Flat Pattern, it will act like it's going to work, but then fail to regenerate (bottom image), I can't get it to flatten out using unbend or bend back (what is the difference??) Nothing has worked so far and I am not very experienced user. Any advice will be much appreciated! Thank you!

I'm trying to search for "&d", but I only get results for "d".

New install of WC 11 m030 and when I go to login as wcadmin, I get a user not found error. wt.util.WTRuntimeException: (wt.session.sessionResource/2) wt.org.UserNotFoundException: User not found: unknown web name: "wcadmin".   Anyone have any idea what is going on with this?

I am trying to get a successful rehost or Windchill/PDMLink 10.0 m040 to another set of identical computers for a trial upgrade to Windchill 11.0 m030. I am uisng the Rehost Utility 3.0 m010. After a lot of work and retries, I have finally been able to get Windchill to start, but not without issues. Let me start by giving a quick over view of my rehost process. Install Oracle 11g on the test server, run PTC Setup to build the DB Install Windchill on its test server OOTB Windchill 10.0 m040 runs fine. I have installed the same modules as on the production serevr, so a Windchill Version report looks idnetical with the exception that I did not install the WinDU/WinRU patches on the test server Export the Oracle and WindchillDS databases Copy the vaults using RoboCopy Copy the cachevaults Copy the database dumps to the new servers Copy the db/sql folder over to the new Oracle server In WindchillDS, create a new base Dn for my company organization Import the LDIF file into WindchillDS Put t

Hi,I am trying to make MSSQL Server 2014 as my data persistence provider as per the instructions provided at http://support.ptc.com/cs/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_6.5_hc/index.jspx?id=ConfiguringaPersistenceProviderEntity&action=…  but unfortunately, I am not able to do so. I receive an error message(please see attached pic). How can I solve this error?Also when the instructions say import the PersistenceProvide package what exactly the instructions mean by that?

I am looking for a way to create a points file using a function that I can bring into a solid modeler that can be used to create a cam surface. As a simple example, for a circle, I would want an angle in the first column, an x coordinate R*sin(Theta) in the second column and a y coordinate R*cos(Theta) in the second column. I may want to add a fourth column with a function for the profile in the z direction. Thanks, Karl.

We've added PTC_MATERIAL_NAME as a parameter to all of our start parts and would like to check that users have that parameter in their models. It's a neat hidden PTC parameter that once added dynamically links to the asigned material. For some reason, ModelCheck seems to ignore any attempts I use to check this PTC parameter even though I've been able to get ModelCheck to check for other parameters. I'm guessing PTC exempts their own parameters from being checked by ModelCheck? Or has someone else found a way to check PTC parameters?

For instance, I copied over four files, into a new folder),  (2 prt's., 1 asy and 1 drw), renamed them and had to "Replace" the prt's in the asy, but, how can the renamed asy be re-associated in the drw, it doesn't seem to give you any option to do this. It won't even allow the new drw to be opened, it is looking for the old asy.   Thanks,     Craig
