I know that it is possible to use a single Value Stream Thing to log entirely different properties of multiple Things.Example: Logging temperature and pressure for Thing1 as well as voltage and current for Thing2 all in the same Value Stream.My question is does anyone know or have experience with this and how it would affect Value Stream performance (reading/writing)?I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize Things' logged properties.  i.e. Should all machines in a department share a Value Stream?  Should each machine have its own Value Stream (this is probably overkill)?I'm using Thingworx 7.1.Thanks

Hi all, I have a function with 6 loops (0 to 5), but when I try to keep track of changes of two parameters (alpha and betta), they are returned as the last members of two 1by12 vectors. The numbers of my data sets (x and y) are exactly 12, but I dont know what is the relationship between the these two. I wonder if somebody could take a look at it?Best,   Physical Mathematics

I am working on a project that requires we manage XML Files. I noticed that ThingWorx provides an type that can be used for parameters. When using this I found that the creating a new XML object using the XML string will throw an exception if the XML includes the standard header:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href=""?>Removing the header I find that the XML object is created without an exception. The problem is that I can't seem to find any standard functions that can be used to parse the XML or traverse it's nodes.Does the XML object when used in a service defined with JavaScript have any functions for accessing nodes and attributes?

Hello   We have created a UI dialogue and it has different controls like Input panel, Option menu etc.   We do have filled possible values into Option menu which has almost 50+ values. If we think from end user's perspective, it is difficult to search for required input value from list. Is there any property so that user can directly select option menu and type required value, option menu can automatically select that value if availabl in list.   Any thought will be of great help. I just put some dimensions in a note.1. MATERIAL = ALUM. &ad69 X &oad957 X &oad969The interesting thing was that when I put them there, they disappeared on the drawing. To make sure I wasn't going nuts, I cut them out of the notes and the reappeared. I when back and forth several times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.The dimension are part of ordinate string of dimensions:&oad957 is the 11.63 dimension.Any thoughts or ProWork-arounds.Dale

Hi,I have a button and repeater in the mashup. Repeater has below properties assigned.Service which feeds repeater invoked at mashup load event. And also invoked when user clicks button. Very first time first row selection happening automatically. But when we reloads repeater its first row auto selection is not working properly. Hey guys,I was wondering when you connect to ThingWorx via this link : server/ThingWorxIt asks you for your credentials.I would like that previous link to be redirected to server/Thingworx/FormLogin/Everyone. How can I do that ? With that, I can use a home mashup with the Everyone organization.Then, whenever the session timeouts, I would like it to be redirected to the same URL (server/Thingworx/FormLogin/Everyone) How can I do that ? ​I'm using PostgreSQL 9.4.15 & TOMCAT 8.5 and ThingWorx 8.0.5

I want to Supply a step file of the model I have designed.  The assembly model has so many subcomponents.  I have exported a ".STEP" file.  I when I imported into creo or SolidWorks it showed all the components list in the model tree. So that he can open all the components individually. I don't want let he open all the components. See the below example.   So to want to make a single body from the assembly by exporting as ".STEP" so he can not open any subcomponents from the model tree.   Regards, Sundar Dannana, Mechanical Engineer.       

Hi,I want to send the property values generated in my Thinworx core to the Analytics server for the analysis and I was going through the process mentioned here Digital Media Publisher.However, when I went to download the DataConnect from the software download page, there was an option available for the TW8.1 release. Is this functionality removed in the new version or is there an alternative which can be used to provide the connection and fulfill the tasks which DataConnect did?Or, is there any other way where the property values can be fed into the Analytics servers from the Thingworx platform?Thanks!

Hello All,  Please reply back if you know the solution. I am trying to Rename and open active assembly.  I tried using  ProMdlnameRename, ProMdlnameCopy, ProMdlfileMdlnameCopy. All three function shows the expected result but as soon as I erase the model from session and re-open it from working dir. it show missing references.   Original name: Org.asm Renamed to Org_Copy.asm Somehow Org_Copy.asm gets an external reference added for Org.asm How can I avoid/correct this external reference?   fyi: 1. Hi everyone, i have a bunch of drawings with annotations, which have text between brackets. example: (hallo)  Now i want to delete all the brackets in all Annotations. example: hallo So i tried to use mapkeys to save me time. But Creo doesn't record the keystroke (backspace or delete), which i use to get rid of the bracket, it records the undeleted text. When i use the mapkey Creo just records the text in the mapkey. Here is a Snippet out of the Mapkey for better understanding mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdEditProperties@PopupMenuGraphicWinStack` ;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Update `note_text_asynch` `txt_note_text` `hallo)`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ FocusOut `note_text_asynch` `txt_note_text`;\ So my question is, how can i record keystrokes in an mapkey or is there another way to delete (semi-)automatic brackets around text in an annotation?!   Thank you!
