Currently, our parts have all kinds of pretty colors, to distinguish the different parts. So we have light brown, brown, dark brawn, orange, dark orange, etc.   But we are also looking into bringing our models into the real world with Augmented Reality. For this, I would like to give our parts a more realistic look, so brushed aluminium instead of the dark brown.   I would like to define those looks at part-level, not at assembly-level.   So, my questions are... Can a part have multiple appearances? (for example, (1) bright red and (2) brushed aluminium) At assembly-level, can I create a "Rule Based" appearance which will "activate" the realistic look of the parts? (so I can switch easily between the pretty engineering colors, and the realistic look)

Hello ,I have created a master page and there is a menu with associated mashup's.To assign user i have created a organization with home mashup as the top mashup of the menu, and associated the user to the organization.But when i login as the user i cannot see the master page with menus, with administrator i can see the page loaded.What am i missing here..?ThanksSunay

hello I am using a motion skeleton to create a symetric movement  for a rail see attached images. like this, moving one part move also the other one. but I can 't find the way to "block"or control the amplitude, to have some limits mini, maxi. I want to be sure to not have my parts touching. please help,

I want to add the "Free state" symbol (circle F) to my feature control frame for a surface profile but the check box is greyed out.  Why?   I'm using Creo 3.0 M060.   Thanks.

Hello everybody,  I have configured the shortcut menu for components. Menu gets displayed on right click. Everything is fine till here. So when assembly is displayed in Tree view, I can right click on one of it's components (asm/part) and execute my function.   Problem: I need to find out the name/id of selected component/s on which user "right clicked". I can see that information in trail file but need to know the function which will provide me required information.   Thanks in advance to all those who would share their knowledge, Madhavi        

I generated one label chart , in X-axis timestamp values are displaying but the latest timestamp value is dispaying on the left side and old timestamp displaying on the right side. but i want to display the timestamp values in ascending order not in descending order.Please help me out where can i do this configuration, I dont find anything in the label chart properties tab.

Is there another way to get the code for a snippet and copy it into my script?  The snippet to create an infotable from a datashape is not responding when I try to move it over.

Hello,   I am working with a geometry that uses a datum curve from an equation. Certain parameters can be changed by the user in order to manipulate the curve.   The issue I am having: Based on the parameters, two relations define numbers A1 and A2 which can limit the curve (see pic.). Unfortunately, I could not make the curve's limits update when the parameters (and subsequently the relations) are set by the user.   It only worked like this until now: Update parameters Get failed geometry Edit definition of said curve Type in "A1" and "A2" which updates the limits Get the desired geometry   Is there any way to make this work without having to manually insert A1 and A2 each time?   Thanks!      

I am trying to automate Project creation.  Is it possible to prevent the invitation email from being sent but still have the user added/ joined to the project?   The only answer I got so far from eSupport was to shut down the email queue and delete the notification when it is sent to queue.  Not a feasible solution.   Thanks, Bob Lohbauer

Need the ability to extract Change Package Status for Implementer type so that  I can test the status of the Item's change package to see if it is allowed to be change to the next state. I need to be able to test each and every Change Package ID to test the status if it's value is not "In Prod" then prevent the state from being change to the next state. See the screen shot of the change package tab in this case the rule would prevent the issues state being changed to the next level.   Change Packages tab view  

I'm attempting to connect to SalesForce through ThingWorx 8.0.0-b11 but I'm having trouble finding the TWX_Salesforce_Connector_ExtensionPackage that is described in this support document:  ThingWorx Converge Help Center.  I have Utilities installed but I've been unable to locate anything related to a SalesForce connector or another extension that I can install.  Additionally, the document mentions a dependency on another extension that aids in Authentication. Hey Everyone,I've come across something strange while working on ThingWorx 8.1, whenever I create a Mashup with the names including but not limited to "New Mashup" or "new mashup" and try and switch to it's Design mode after saving it. There are some other name samples too. It does these two things as follows:1. It shows an error message stating "You do not have permission to view new%20mashup"2. It opens up a view of the Classic Composer under the NextGen ComposerWhich should not be the case when the UI has been switched to Next Gen Composer.Also noticed another instance of the same problem when multiple mashups are selected and View button is Clicked, a view of the Classic Composer is visible.NextGen Composer​, @ThingWorx8

Hi, I have vector and I need to check each element with a condition and the resulting answer should be a vector with the corresponding values if condition is true or false. Problem: I have a vector called M' with 100 elements in it. I want to check the condition "If (M'<1)". If the condition is true it should assign a new vector Me with M' value in the corresponding position, If the condition is false it should assign 1 to the new vector Me for the corresponding position. I am getting an error stating that the value must be scalar. I have attached a picture for your reference

I have one requirement, when I selected the device on the list in one mashup it shows the graph on that mashup, if I click on that graph that same graph of that particular device should open in new mashup with selected device also, after opening the graph i need to add some more functionality on that. when I click on the graph it is not showing that particular graph with selected device on the list.how could I map the selected device name on the list in one mashup and in other mashup. when I selected teh device from the list that same device should select in another mashup when I navigate to that mashup.can I bind more than one service to the widget ?

Hello,   I have a doubt about interpenetrations: in the deformed configuration visualization (in the results window) I see that there is interpenetration between parts even in I defined contact pairs between the involved surfaces and the simulation completed with no particular issue. Could it be a simple matter of visualization or does it mean that for sure something went wrong with the contacts? Thank you for the help, as usual.

With the end of support for Creo 2.0 impending, we are contemplating switching to Creo 4.0. I would like to do a little testing with Creo 4.0 before we commit to it. Will I be able to use the same FlexLM license server we are currently running with Creo 2.0 (M240)?

Hey guys,   please help. I need to have a drawing with a fastener pattern call out. Something like this.       We do not have time to detail holes in parts and fasteners though. I only have a sketch with the holes locations in the part (to make sure we are not having any interferances and plenty of edge margin).   Is there a way to just show the crosses in the locations driven from the sketch?   Thank you so much for your help.

I got this error message.The most disturbing thing is that I made an export from 6.5 to 7.1.4, without no modification, so it should be that simple.I tried to add the java options "​-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8​" and even to save the XML in different type of UTF-8, still doesn't work.Have you a idea how I could solve it ?Quentin

Hi, Since I've changed my screen for a bigger one (with a higher resolutions) datum names are displayed very big. for example DTM1. So it's hard to see the model when I have several Datum planes and axis. Is it possible to set this text size in config.pro ? Thanks
