When I used Arbortext7M080 open a S1000D publicmodel.then used publish PDFfile command to convert a PDF file,but the graphic can not display.But when i open a datamodel and convert a pdf file the graphic can display.so is there anybody can tell me why？

In Arbortext, I've got an odd problem I can't find a solution to. Working in XML, there appear to be spaces after the period in the last sentence of a para. But there are no spaces in the xml. If I put my cursor just after the period and hit backspace, it doesn't delete the period, but instead several characters before that. See screen shots -- instead of deleting the period it deletes the y in "Treasury". I have uninstalled and re-installed version 7.0. Anyone seen this before and have a solution? It gets to be a real problem when trying to edit text in the middle of a para, because the cursor placement becomes meaningless.

Hi all., I have an doubt in S1000D publishing in arbortext editor with styler. I had downloaded the bike sample data set from S1000D website (version 5.0). I created an stylesheet for that sample data. But I don't know like in which module I need to add the data modules and publication modules to publish the files in arbortextI am using Arbortext Editor with Styler (8.2).

When I had my evaluation license everything worked great. But now with my new license I'm getting an error.An unknown problem has occurred.  I only get this when exporting a PNG file no other formats.I have attached the error massage and the PNG export setting in the attachments. Please let me know if anyone has a suggestion as to why this is happening.Thank you

I'm trying to publish xml documents (Dynamic Docs) by creating a structure (Publication Structure) through Arbortex Publishing Engine.The problem is, when this xml document is processed by APE, the resulting output PDF is containing only file name on top of pages and rest of the PDF is blank.I'm also not able to see any graphics.

Hi all! we need to use APE 8.2.3 with PE SOAP but is deprecated from version 8.1i have integrated axis2 in our apache 9, but something is wrong, i cannot get the pdf, the APE do not generate it and i didn't have any response.now i am using:http://MYSERVER:8080/axis2/services/PEWebService instead before with version 8.0 i am using:http://MYSERVER:8080/PEaxis2/services/PEWebService i get the same info, i see the wsdl 🙂 ... what i have done is to copy the PeWebService.aar from the version 8 to the version8.2.3 (i don't know if is correct) Summarizing... can someone explain me or show a guide in order to have enable the PE SOAP in the version arbortext publishing engine 8.2.3 ...  due my application needs it....thanks a lot.david,

Would like to use e learning library for Arbortext Editor

Hi all, Not sure what the deal is, but I am able to build some xml to pdf using xsl-fo and XLS. I am able to build most things between the two versions of arbortext, but I am currently stuck on tables that contain proportional column widths (colwidth=integer*). It doesn't seem to be an issue if the (cals) table is larger than the page, but I feel there's a limit as I am getting [dimensions too large] fatal error when building on version 8.2. I don't get this problem building on version 7. I can't imagine why this is an issue.

Hello All,  Good day !!! We upgraded Arbortext 8.1 to 8.2 around a year ago, and for the last two days, we have been seeing a pop-up message stating that our license is about to expire. Has anyone else encountered this type of mistake while running Arbortext? This is the first time we have encountered this problem. What type of license is it mentioning? One of my writers returned from vacation and finds he can no longer get his DITA maps to display correctly. They come up in an unusable state as shown in the attached screenshot. Other dialogs, including the Preferences dialog, also display incorrectly. Have tried clearing the cache, rebooting, and everything else we can think of, but cannot resolve the issue. Any suggestions? We're using version 8.1.3.1.

Would installation of PTC Abortext Styler 8.1 be necessary to add video and audio content? For that, it appears as though we would need a separate license other than the PTC Arbortext with Styler 8.1 version license that we have already.   Best regards,John P. Roy

The print preview function is no longer working.  We use this all the time. Publish to PDF is still working and can be used as a work around but it isn't ideal. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but this did not fix the issue.  Going to a newer version of Arbortext isn't an option for us.  Any ideas on how to fix this? I will attach a screenshot of the error I am getting.

Hi there, It's been reported that some of our users are having issues while adding, editing, or even viewing the File Entities menu.Arbortext Editor > Entities > File... gives the following errors: From the File Entities menu clicking on an existing entitiy gives a long list of errors:              We're unsure as to where to start looking on what's causing the issue and any help would be appreciated. Arbortext Version 8.1.1.0 

We have installed arbortext editor  8 in our system and doing some implementation using eclipse. For that we need com.arbortext.epic.Document; and com.arbortext.epic.Application which needs epic.jar file.   We are not able to see epic.jar file in Arbortext editor installation path. Can you please help us to find location of epic.jar file.

Hello, i am creating a Toc in docbook arbortext v8.2. My docbook tree is as follows below image. i want the toc for chapter here, which is section/section/chapter. the problem is, i can create Toc, but i can't restrict its scope to be inside of section/section only. The aumatically generated Toc is showing the Next chapter contents also if i give scope as chapter or section. here my chapter definately should come inside of part and a volume overall. i need to add scope of section/section for creation of Toc so i will get the result i want. is there any way to add like that?

Hello,   I have joined newly to this community,   we use to change the file/drawing name inside as well as outside for huge nos.of drawings in ISODRAW, could u pls help me  how can i do it with help of macros in ISODRAW.

In our Arbortext installation, we have a customized print command that preprocesses our XML files before generating a PDF. Once the PDF has been generated, the customized command issues the license_release( "PrintPublishing" ) command before it finishes.   Most of the time this works just fine, but occassionally (a few times each month), the print composer license will not be released. Since we only have one license, I will usually hear from our users that they haven't been able to get a license for and hour or two. When I check the license server log, I can see which user last checked out the license. If I ask them the manually release the license (I wrote a menu item just for this), the license is released when they do so.   Is there anything more I can do to ensure that the license is released when the release_license command is issued?   Thanks, Rick
