I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.2We are unable to register the Windchill Server in Windchill Workgroup Manager and are receiving the error message "Windchill authentication failed". We have already reviewed and tried the solutions provided in the available PTC support articles, but the issue still persists.Here are the errors that I facedWindchill Authentication failed

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: there is no entry in available column list for soft type attribute when trying to customize "affected objects" table viewDescription: Create soft type attribute of type "Affected Activity Data".In Affected Object Table of New Activity there is a OOTB disposition named "Finished", "Work-In-Progress", "Inventory". (These are attributes of type  "Affected Activity Data" only).Instead of OOTB ones I want my soft type to show there. But while customizing table view I cant see the entry of these soft types in available column. How do I add these attributes to the table..?

Creo 10/11 compatibility with windchill 13, why 10 or 11 which is more better with pros and cons ?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Adding parts to workspace takes a long timeDescription: We have some large family tables (~1000 parts). There really isnt a good way to break these apart. It doesn't seem to matter if you select 1 part from the family table for 10, it always takes about a minute to add. It looks like Java is at nearly 100% CPU usage on the performance monitor (I believe this is single core utilization). Does anyone have recommendations on what might be hanging this up or how to investigate further?

The problem occurs in the following sequence:-When a user checks out a WTPart, the visualization immediately disappears (which may be normal behavior)-The user then makes changes to classification or other attributes (not CAD geometry)-After checking the WTPart back in, the visualization is not regeneratedCould you please advise on the correct configuration needed to ensure WTPart visualizations are properly regenerated after check-in when only attribute changes are made?Thank you

@JeffZemsky tagging Jeff if you want to weigh in from PTC perspective. This is somewhat a config mgmt discussion but also Part revision question. I've always seen Design View as having strong ties and linkages to CAD and we adopted the Manufacturing View to be that MBOM concept where things needed to vary. 99% of the time there is little difference in our instance and most of those differences can be accomplished by breaking build associations in the Design View.  Currently, there are two paths in managing the Mfg View structure, create a new view version off Design or revise the previous one if it exists. Aside from the obvious which one is more correct, are there other pros/cons to either approach? What does it mean if the Design View is at rev A and the Mfg View is at rev C? What is the true part rev you are building? We've been operating with rev syncing where CAD, Drawings and Parts share same Rev designator by practice. New System - Who dis? This does not make much sense. I follow steps to set list of emails for the JMX Administrators. I did shutdown messages when I restarted last night which is confirmation that its working but as I watched the startup log I say this flash across for each of the methodserers: JMX-Administrators EMAIL LIST HAS NOT BEEN POPULATED! SYSTEM HEALTH NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT! I was curious that it did not presist settings but when I check the JMX console, they are there: If I look at each of the BGMS and MS in the JConsole, I see they have their own entry for addresses Address List here is blank. When creating a Product context how do we make sure that a product belongs to a particular Site and all objects created in the product gets the Cage code of the particular Site.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.0I need to take a report from windchill to see user's who has only 'view' access, their last login time to windchill. Is there way a to extract this information?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Someone made a check-in but filled in the wrong attribute field.Now I need to fix it by leaving it blank, but when I try to check in, it says that I can't do that because the field cannot be removed. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it? Just to add, the field is a string and have no restrictions, and it's an asm file.

How can i search for multiple items? I have two part numbers that yield results when searched for separately but when I use a semicolon or "or" nothing comes up. I've multiple variations with spaces and without? What am I missing or is this not possible?  What I am really after is adding a bunch of items to my workspace at the same time from a list I have. If there is a better way to do that I am open to suggestions. 

I am testing imports of Orgs and Manufacturer objects and glad I did. Orgs went in just fine but the MANUFACTURER object was lacking a critcial field and the import ended up creating it in the site level I believe: Now this is not the WTOrganization it is tied to but the container. Obviously, it did not appear correct and it was invisible. In fact, it allowed me to create it via UI methods just fine creating a duplicate.
