Windchill

Surprised I was not able to easily find this. I was successful at exporting and importing my custom groups but I would have expected that when I exported the navigate_view_named_group or navigate_contribute_named_group and tried importing them to my new server, it did not like this. I get that this is an OOTB group and there might be some restrictions around it.  I have hundreds of users I need to populate to these groups so what's the recommended solution?  We certainly aren't expected to manually load all these users in one by one right?

Hi folks, I am looking into the possibility, need and touchpoints to integrate Windchill and MES. If anybody has done the same, could you share some light on the recommended middleware, and what should be the framework one should follow to do the integration. Thanks. 

Our NASA recently put SentinelOne virus protection on our production and test/dev servers. We have experienced some random issues with our Oracle database and Java runtime VM crashes. We also notice when the VM crashes, it wipes out the shortcuts to the Windchill shell, as well as overwriting the windchill.exe file to 0 bytes. Hi Everyone, I am currently working with SolidWorks and Inventor, both of which are successfully integrated with Windchill. The attributes are correctly mapped in the EPM Documents and are also visible within the respective CAD tools.   However, I’ve encountered an issue where these attributes are not appearing in Creo View when viewing the PVZ files, even though they are present in the native files. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? If so, I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this.   Regards, AJ

I have installed the CPS 14 on Windchill 12.1 system successfully. But when i try to start the windchill getting "2025-06-18 18:34:20,136 ERROR [main] wt.method.server.startup.services - Failed to create: wt.services.service.60=wt.access.AccessControlManager/wt.access.StandardAccessControlManager java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class wt.util.WTException" this error and method server doesnt come up.Found one article on PTC https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS383482 , with same error but the solution didnt work in my system.Added my MS log too.Thanks in advance

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.7I was curious how to compile just our custom Java code. I can't seem to find the right ant command.Should the Java files be put in /codebase/src/... and then I issue an ant command?If I compile our custom code to a Jar instead of several .class files, does this result in better performance? Where should the .jar file go?

Reason: Transaction (Process ID 177) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. after this error data is not logging to the SQL so for temporary solution i create the new log group with the same configuration & data is logging to SQL.

New installation of SOLR 13.0.2.4 here. Its in and I have it running on RHEL 9, on a NFS mounted folder like I always have done.  System is running SELinux in enforcing mode. I copied my solr.service from my other systems (since I used the same paths) but its not working and cannot figure out way (but it sources sooo familiar). I am able to use my install user and start/stop it perfectly, no issues.  When I try to run this using systemctl, no joy.
