Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: We associate Documents to our Parts using ReferencedBy links.Description: If a document changes, it will show up in the ESI output under Changed Documents. The Document IDs are present here, but the DocumentLinks are not. I'm experiencing an issue with a customization i'm implementing. I'm using the PTC.wvs.webgl.insertThumbnailViewerAt(...) method to display multiple 3D models on the same page. At first, everything works as expected - all models render correctly and respond to user interactions (move, rotate, ...). But, after few seconds, the thumbnails start becoming unresponsive to user input one by one, and become like static images. The strange thing is that the issue isn't consistent - the last thumbnail to remain interactive keeps working properly forever, allowing user to rotate, move, and interact with like a 3D thumbnail.Has anyone else encountered this issue? I'd appreciate any help in troubleshooting and understanding why the thumbnails are becoming unresponsive and explore solutions to prevent this behavior .

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.0.2We have a requirement to customize Windchill Change Summary Repot to include IBM custom attributes.Here are the errors that I facedWe have a requirement to export OOTB Windchill Change Summary Report ( Change Notice -> Actions -> View Summary Report ) , copy it and extended to include our IBM specific object, relationship, attribute information.I believe , the OOTB report uses infoEngine tasks as a datasource to fetch the data from Windchill.So we need copy the OOTB template and implement new infoEngine Tasks to fetch the required IBM data , along with the one windchill provides OOTB.Do you suggest we follow this approach to use infoEngine tasks ? Do you know if PTC plans to discontinue the infoEngine tasks in future ?If so , do you have any suggestions on the alternate approach ?

The Part Assembly has an Owner link with a Creo Assembly.However, one of the standard parts within the Part Structure has an Owner link with CATIA and an Image link with Creo.Due to this, Part Visualization is impacted.Is there a way to resolve this issue without updating the existing links?

I have set up a new user in Windchill to just review and print parts.   Issue I'm having is when I go to create a workspace for them to check out parts then I get an error and the message is wt.folder.FolderException (much longer than this).  Is this a permission issue?   

Hello,Below question is typical for the beginner level of the Windchill User.So, I have split my question in three parts,When a object/file is checked out the on Windchill, is the object checked out from Vault or the database in the realtime?If the object/file is checked in and checked out several times, are the iterations created on the database as well as vault?Does Windchill Vault and Database have the same set of objects/files at same point of time? I mean at 10AM in the morning, Vault has 5000 files/objects and will database will have the same set of files at 10 AM? Thanks In Advance.

Version: Windchill 11.1   Use Case: We need to deliver two different neutral file [of same file format] but one with specific annotation set and another with different set on publishing the 3D file [Released stage]. Description: While releasing the 3D [Which triggers publishing] we need two different published files with two different set of annotation features selected.   Anyways to control the additional file publishing with specific set of MBD annotation feature to be hidden.   One of the published content can be on default representation and another one can be of additional file.

We are using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.2We have a Windchill 12.1.0.2 system.We would like to update to version 12.1.2.16.The upgrade/update path table does not include this initial version.Can we update this in one step? Or what are the steps to get to the target version?Maybe upgrade process is needed already in this case and update is not enough?

Version: Windchill 11.1 Use Case: In windchill 11.0 the CAD BOM the As Stored configuration filter is applied for the Parent assembly in which the 1st level child has the non-latest version, but the 2nd level child has the latest version for the Sub assembly instead of the non-latest version (as stored configuration)Description: Is the as stored configuration filter only applicable to 1st level child of the Parent assembly? Does the filter not take the as stored filter configuration for the 2nd level where the child is non latest, or does it always consider the latest filter for sub assembly levels? I am converting some old JCA tables to MVC but customization guide lacks sufficient examples to a certain area, using "addServiceArgument" in the getModel section. Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Trying to check in a file File was originally created with a verbose, temporary name File was renamed after final revisions Check in attempted and failedDescription: Good afternoon PTC Community, I am trying to check in some part and assembly files on Windchill. Windchill thinks that the files names/descriptions are too long, despite being renamed. The original file names were over the 60-character limit, and they have since been renamed to be much shorter, but Windchill seems to not have noticed, eg; it will say a name like '10-376-1.prt' is too long.The problem persists with copies of the original, and regardless of whether I am using windchill from creo or a browser. Has anyone discovered a solution to this?As an addendum, it would help solve some related issues if anyone knew of a method to move files between workspaces.

Hi Experts, I am just wondering is there any data inside the GOLF_CART product?I have installed the WC 13 successfully with demo and all other data load conditions are checked during the installation. Installation was successful but I haven't check GOLF_CART product.Now I can see it doesn't show up any demo data?No CAD documents and No WC parts etc   Can someone confirm it the GOLF_CART is having any data when we load a demo Data during the installation. or If I have missed anything or any sort of issue which can cause this?  It will be great help if get any suggestions on this as we are bit stuck here ... Feel free to leave comment if I have missed anything... Thanks in Advance.   

I'm encountering an issue when creating a new Manufacturing (MFG) part that has an equivalent part with an Image or Contributing Image link. According to the Help Center [link], this capability is intended to be used when creating a New Downstream Branch/Part. However, instead of retrieving the image-linked representation, the system is pulling the owner representation, which leads to incorrect positioning in the resulting structure.The main point I’d like to clarify is:Is it possible to create a new manufacturing branch/part without mispositioning, assuming the upstream part has an image link to the CAD Document?Is there a supported or recommended approach to ensure the image-linked representation is used correctly during transformation?Any guidance or best practices to avoid this behavior would be greatly appreciated. Note: build the mBOM from the Design Part works as expected. The issue only occurs when a new MFG Part is created.
