Is it possible to search for the same attribute present in different classification nodes? For example, if I search for the attribute COSTRUTTORE present in the node of the CODICEAS400 class and that of PARTI A COMMERCIO the result does not present any object. Only if I search individually (one class at a time) then it works (see photo). ty, Matteo.

Hi!Registered user licenses are for one user.But what if that user leaves the company or is given a Windchill-less role. Is it ok to give this license to another user?I know, that license-hopping is definitely not allowed. I am using Import from Spreadsheet to update units of measure on parts. Seeing as I was only changing those attributes, I left State and Lifecycle blank. Odd thing though, it seemed to move all the parts to the Released state. Strange that it would do this since if I want to hold to previous state, I have to look it up for each part and put it in the update file. One would assume that if I did not proved a value, don't touch it.  Anyone else seen this? Does not appear to be documented.

We are using CLI commands for accessing Winchill's data for sync purpose. If we have documents with specific order:1.0 first root item   1.1 first subitem    1.2 second subitem2.0 second root itemHow to get rank/order value for the issue type via CLI Command? In which field value I can read rank value ? Let's say document first sibitem rank is 1.1, I need to fetch this value, how to do that via CLI ? Any other way ?

Depending on where parts are manufactured, the same assembly in one facility will have a set of seals individually called out in the bill of materials. That same assembly put together in a different facility, due to purchasing restrictions, will have the seals in a kit instead. Older versions of Windchill allowed for zero quantity items in the BOM, but as we have upgraded over time, new revisions of these assemblies have to be updated to remove zero quantity items.Currently we're trying to figure out what the best way to manage this these parts would be. In the CAD model, the seals are manually added in the correct position, and then the kit was added as a zero quantity in the BOM. We cannot create a kit assembly due to the fact that the same seals are in different locations in different assemblies where the kit is used.We currently think, and are investigating if MPMlink is going to be the best way to move forward with this problem, or if there's a better way that we haven’t thought o

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Hi, we are upgrading Windchill + Flexplm 11.0m030 to Windchill + Flexplm 12.1.2.9. we have completed upgrade for 3 rehersal as well. Now during the pre prod and production we are reusing the Windchill 12.1.2.9 application servers. If we install ootn 12.1.2.9 and perform upgrade as a part of pre-prod. Can we simply drop the db user which was upgraded as a part of preprod,create a new user and import the database and execute the upgrade manager ? Similar way we normally refresh our lower environment using rehosting.Description: 1. During pre pod rehersal, Windchill ootb installation+ upgrade is completed.2. During the next rehearsal can we use the same above Windchill instance by dropping the db user, recreate and re import the database and execute the upgrade manager.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: What the users want is a promotion that goes to a drawing checker first, and then goes to an approver, that is a different person. The out of the box promotion request doesn't allow staged approvals like that. It get's sent to all approvers at the same time. My thought is that there is no reason to conflate the drawing checking process with the promotion to release process. A checker can mark up the CreoView viewable without a need for a lifecycle state change. The issue is how to notify the checker that a drawing needs to be checked. Simplest way is for the drafter to email the checker, or use whatever chat system the company has in place to notify them that the drawing is ready to be checked. I suppose you could create a workflow specifically for assigning a task to the checker, but the end result after approval would be to assign a task to create a promotion request for the drawing/model. There is something wrong with this Post a Question, it just loops around and around. So this is not a "question"We have many sub-types of wtDocument. I am using Windchill ProjectLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.1.0Windchill-'Search' bar missing in the side navigation bar in Windchill PDM and not seeing other attributes post log in, Browse and Utilities.

I would like to expand the groups in the Members list to see, and select, the sub-groups in Quick Links > Email page.At the moment I can only either select one of the groups directly under Members, or search for individual users. I can not expand the group in the Members list or search for a group.
