Hello!I am running a model of a bolted connection between 3 parts. Since CREO does not allow the use of the "Fastener" feature for 3 parts, I defined bonded surfaces to simulate the contact between parts. I also defined non-linear materials in order to evaluate plastic behavior of the system. When a bonded surface is defined in CREO, the program automatically creates measures for the interface forces. However, CREO only shows the interfaces measures when I run a static linear analysis (ignoring plasticity).Is there a workaround to be able to see interface measures when running a non-linear analysis with plasticity? Thanks!

I'm currently working on trying to evaluate the safety of the screws used for a lift bar of a block but seem to not be able to get reasonable values for the stresses inside the bolts. I believe that the model is over constrained but don't know how to fix it. I'm currently using Creo 11 simulate not the live one.  The assembly consists of a large steel block (approx. 4,400 lbs), with a T-shaped lift bar bolted to it. The lift bar is mounted using three screws: two on either end of the top of the T and one at the base. The lifting point is centered on the crossbar of the T (via an eyebolt), and in the simulation this point is fixed. Gravity is applied in the -Y direction using -386.1 in/sec².The fasteners are 1-inch diameter UNRC coarse-thread screws modeled using Creo Simulate's screw fastener feature. Hi all ,   I have to simulate an Escapement mechanism's kinematics.     I want to know if modeling the mechanism in Creo is even feasible before I start.It works back and forth ('foliot') and is not only a two-wheel rotation that is impacted by diameter ratios. (Key innovation: the escapement) I want to know if using a Creo mechanism is even feasible.   I appreciate the answers in advance.

Hello, I am attempting to run a structural design study within Creo Simulate 7.0.4.0. There is a pop-up window that says "The selected functionality requires a Basic Creo Simulate license". From what I read online, you need three licenses (MECELITEUI, MECELITEENG, and CREOSIM_Standard) to access the basic functionalities of Creo Simulate. I am looking for a more detailed step per step explanation for the Creo FlowAnalysis Premium Module. I need to perform a gear box analysis with the multiphase and the rotation 1DoF module. I have not found any files about the rotation module.Does anyone know where I can finde some information about this topic´? Thanks

What is the correct workflow in simulate - assembly to replace a component with a point mass idealization at the part C.O.G. and constrain it to the assembly with links?When using mass idealization - component at point - the following notification appears: "You have included a mass idealization of a component which contains the highlighted volumes that will be meshed during an analysis. This will result in the mass being accounted for twice in the run."If I create a simplified representation of the part which removes the solid geometry, the simplified representation removes the component from view entirely (including the cog datum point defined in the part).My current approach is to open the part/subassembly to idealize, do mass properties, enable X/Y/Z COG features, then create an offset point with relations using those features to define it. Then I return to the assembly simulation and create an assembly datum point at the assy level defined by the COG location point within the part.

I am using Creo Simulate Release N/A and DatecodeN/ADie Modalanalyse ergab 58 Eigenmoden. Danach möchte ich eine dynamische Analyse im Zeitbereich machen (um die Erregerkräfte in die Struktur einspielen zu können). Wie gewohnt natürlich im Reiter "Vorherige Analyse" die besagte Modalanalyse gewählt. Weiters möchte ich die Dämpfungskoeffizienten für jeden Eigenmode individuell eingeben ... also dementsprechend eingestellt ... und ich hätte erwartet, dass ich nun 58 Eingabemöglichkeiten bekomme. Leider wurden mir nur 4 Eingabemöglichkeiten (für die ersten 4 Eigenmoden) angeboten.Woran könnte dies liegen?Habe derartige Berechnungen schon öfter gemacht und konnte bis jetzt auch die Dämpfungskoeffizienten immer individuell einstellen.Danke schön für Hilfe.SG Markus Plainer

I want to understand the need for the memory allocation limits of 16 Gb for 64 bit machines?? i understand the need of having enough memory for the operating system, but now that machines with 32, 64 and even 128 Gb are comun. I am asking this because i have a model that the global matrix profile is around 100 Gb on the last pass of the MPA analysis and I am working on a machine with 128Gb of RAM

Hello, how can I replace in simulation those kind of bolted joints so preload is included. I need to create linear simulation with bolted joints and analyse those joints so they are accurately represented. The problem is Creo simulate can't create bolted joint while there are more than two parts bolted togeather. Can those bolted joints be recreated as a  beam structure or any kind of spring structure?Thank you in advance

I learned a little bit, but I haven't mastered it at all.It should be cold at one end and hot at the other, but I didn't expect that one end is hot and the other end is even hotter.Is there expert tell me where I am wrong?

I’m have a CFD project with an oil/water heat exchanger in a hydraulic tank. I would be studying how effective the cooler is at lowering the temperature of the oil over a given time so, it would be a transient analysis. The cooler has two cores with water looping through them in series. Each core has 182 copper tubes that are 0.4 mm thick and 170 aluminum fins that are 0.25 mm thick with a spacing of about 1.73 mm. I want to do cunjugate heat transfer across the solid geometry, but with so many components that are thin walled, the number of cells in the mesh woul be astronomical.  I'm looking for suggestions on a basic approach to this analysis.  Can the tubes and fins be compressed to mid-surfaces and run in CFA? That would require fewer cells in the solid domains. I see that there is something buried in the mesher about two fluid heat exchangers, but I haven't been able to find information on how to utilize that. Some direction there would be helpful too.  &n

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a Creo Flow Analysis for a vacuum system. I was able to successfully set up an internal flow simulation, but I am facing errors when trying to include the ambient airflow around the nozzle.What I have set up successfully:Internal flow only:Inlet (nozzle entry): Set as 101325 Pa (atmospheric pressure).Outlet (nozzle exit, connected to the vacuum system): Defined as Volumetric Flux 400 m³/h (0.111 m³/s).This setup runs without issues.What I am trying to add:I want to simulate how air is being drawn from the surroundings into the nozzle.To do this, I added a large surrounding box to represent the air environment.The walls of the box are defined as inlet and outlet pressures (atmospheric pressure, 101325 Pa).The issue:When I include the ambient air domain, I get errors on the inlet and outlet boundaries of the nozzle.It seems like Creo does not handle both the internal flow and external airflow together properly.My goal is to see where the noz

Hello, I am trying to render a simple fluid flow simulation in Simulation Live for Creo 9.0.1.0. When I add particles to the display it runs at about 2 FPS, this is with the Performance options set all the way to the left for "Speed". At this time, Creo is using 0-2% of my GPU.However, what is interesting, is when I rotate the model, the GPU usage jumps up to 60-70% and the FPS is smooth (closer to 30 FPS or more).  I want to be able to have this speed and quality of animation without having to continuously rotate the model. Is this possible?   

So, I joined a company that uses CREO 10. When I got here, I found out they also have SW Pro with SIM Pro with ECAD thermal analysis. I asked why and they stated that CREO Sim doesn't provide ECAD thermal analysis. So, I personally would rather use SW for our CAD - especially since we do the ECAD sim in SW already. Otherwise, it would be great to find a solution for CREO and move away from SW Sim. Now I know Ansys runs within CREO - but does CREO have a basic ECAD thermal simulation that is acceptable? Keep in mind money is the driving factor here - so spending 10's of thousands of dollars is not an option. So, the process of going from CREO to SW is just painful. If CREO has a decent solution it would solve a ton of issues. Is CREO simulation - especially for ECAD that bad? So, what does SW ECAD Sim offer - it allows for PCB board simplification allowing to input the PCB layers with copper weights - it allows for 2-R definition of electrical components - it allows for CFD an

I have been performing mechanism analysis for some time but I usually use align two entities and mate two entities  option when creating initial point snapshots, either method gives me same results. I wonder what's the main difference between two options , I would like a very good use case to differentiate between them both.
