How do I control my model with a form?By a form, I mean a graphical window with tick-boxes, pulldown menus etc.I have seen it done at a lecture. Now my parts are controlled by the PRO/PROGRAM input.Can you point me to somewhere to start looking from?

Hi all,Creo API had replaced the old PRO_E_MFG_PARAMVAL element which was a child of PRO_MFG_PARAM element with the new PRO_E_MFG_PARAM_COMPOUND element with children:PRO_E_MFG_PARAM_COMPOUND|__PRO_E_MFG_PRM_NAME|__PRO_E_MFG_PRM_VAL_DBL|__PRO_E_MFG_PRM_VAL_STR|__PRO_E_MFG_PRM_ATTRThe problem is that in old PRO_E_MFG_PARAMVAL the value type could be acquired via ProElementValuetypeGet but with the API changes we could get values from either child element. One could only guess that if PRO_E_MFG_PRM_VAL_STR had returned a null pointer then the value type must be double...TIA.( I had placed a tech support call, but no answer so far...)Feliks.

Just renewed our subscription for solidworks..and ..people are really pissed of with soooo many bugs in solidworks 2015... going through solidworks community forum...creo looks way better.....i wonder what happens after solidworks sp5? as that is the last maintenance release of each solidworks version.correct me if I am wrong.. with creo we keep getting maintenance releases going to m280 at times...Functionality..wise i would prefer creo any day above solidworks..these guys are still catching up...

I am attempting to try out Creo while working on the SAE international Baja competition car. I currently have a model of the frame of the car in solidworks drawn up with the weldments tool for the tubular steel. I was wondering if there is any way that Creo would be able to take the file from solidworks, and develop some sort of cut list for each individual tube member on the frame, giving me all of the angles needed to be cut on each tube. I was told that other teams from the previous years have used this method, and I figured I would try it out, it would be much faster than calculating each piece in solidworks.Any help would be greatly appreciated!-Nick

Hello i working in alias and creo and I try to do the same model that i have done in alias, in creo. So I  have a problem making a curve that go through different planes in creo witch is easy to do in alias.Here are 3 Pic (uploaded on imgur) so it is easier for you to see:imgur.com/a/L9zzrImgur: The most awesome images on the InternetSo i have problem with making the curve you see in the pictures( problem in creo), witch the arrows point at, because the curve is "curved" and go through different planes, do you know how to do it? should i use intersect in some way and how do I use it then?

We don't have a large number of users, so in the past I've just copied the font's to each PC.  I was curious what other methods people have been using.Sandra

Anyone have it working or is it just me?  It worked with IE9, upgraded to 11 and it stopped working.  Downgraded to IE9 and it's still not working; trying to isolate the culprit.TIA
