I`d like to define the size of any random screw for my modelling purpose using an excel sheet. Is it possible? If yes, could anyone please explain the process of it?

Hello all,I have the following problem:I have created an animation from 4 sequences.In the 2nd sequence (Step 2) crane hooks appear, which I had previously inserted from my 3D library.The crane hooks can be seen when running the CI-animation Step 2-4 ("CI_anmiation_Step-3.mp4"). The crane hooks are also visible in the video export Step 2 ("Video_export_Step-2.mp4"). But in the video exports Step 3 and Step 4, the crane hooks are suddenly no longer visible ("Video_export_Step-3.mp4").What could be the reason for this?Best regardsRamon(Siemens-Energy)

I’m working on a project in PTC Creo where I need to plot hundreds of points on a curved surface based on predefined X, Y, Z coordinates. I’ve already created a table with these coordinates and successfully imported it into Creo, which generated an accurate set of points. However, in the Model Tree, the points are recognized as a Table Feature rather than a Sketch Feature. My goal is to have these points appear as part of a Sketch Feature to enable better manipulation and integration into downstream modeling tasks. Is there a way to directly import or convert these points (or a .pts file) into a sketch? Alternatively, are there any efficient workarounds or automated methods within Creo to achieve this? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, My colleague has a problem with Creo Elements Direct Modeling 20.7.0.0.When he tries to drag a .mi drawing from the fileexplorer into Annotation he get's a notification that says "checking the data" and the program freezes.He is the only one in our team that is experiencing this problem. Opening drawings by using "file - open" does work.The computer has had a fresh windows 11 installation but the problem still occures.We work with just the basic version of Creo. So no modelmanager or whatsoever.  Is there anyone that knows how to fix this? My sincerely.

I've made a part through surface modelling in Creo 10 that now needs to be solidified and shelled. The part has family instances of different sizes. The part solidifies succesfully (which also works in each instance), but I can't get it to shell. I've tried using the 'Shell' feature, but also by manually offsetting the surface quilt. The ' Shell feature' results in the error message "Highlighted surfaces are too curved to offset by specified value. Recommended actions: Make a quilt from good surfaces, offset the quilt, make patches over missing surfaces." Offsetting 'unproblematic' surfaces works (with difficulty) in the master model, but at least one of the family instances always fails, depending on the surfaces I exclude from the offset. If I remove the surface(s) that causes one failure, I will have an error in a different surface the next time around. Any advice or ideas for solving this? I would like to avoid remodelling the entire inner surface

Creo 8.0 UserWe recently upgraded from a Canon Tx-4000 to a Tx-4200 and we have an odd issue when plotting a drawing. No matter what size we print (Ansi A, B, C, D, etc....)  It will plot full scale to the correct size then scroll about 3 or 4 ft of excess paper before cutting. Almost to the size of an Ansi EX.  I initially thought it was a plotter setting because we did not have the issue with the previous plotter.   If I convert it to a .pdf and plot it cuts to the correct size. I also spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with canon and they basically told me it was a software issue. working with Prime 10.  I have two lists with different type of tubular threads.  Using the first combo box select between the two list to pull data from.  Automatically populating the second combo box with available tubing size.  Then auto populated the next combo box with available weights.  If not with a combo box can this be done with a list box?  Pulling from a data table and not having to load all the data within a script editor?  

Hello Mathcadeers,Been using MP10 for the last few days/weeks, and these are the thing that I hope Mathcad can improve to make prime faster. Hopefully MATHCAD designer/project lead/project manager is in this PTC Community. 1. Let say I want to add + in the equation below. In M15, I just need to hit SPACEbar once, and I can add +. In MP10, I have to hit SPACEbar twice. I could use RIGHT arrow button in MP10, but it is not quite ergonomic and RIGHT arrow button is far away.  2. Zoom in and Zoom out is laggy. There is about 1s delay. If the delay can be set to 0s, that would be awesome.  3. There is no option to UNDOCK the menu in MP10. In M15, you can undock the function so that it is always open. In M15, say I do Programming, I can Add Line, do if, assign value <-, do for, with just 4 mouse click. With MP10, it will take 8 mouse clicks. Would be good if Mathcad Prime can have the option to UNDOCK menu.  4. Not many options with Right Click. For exam

Hai all,   Please refer below. Here the Smart hole chart option "Show hole ID" will show the individual hole position when selecting the respective table raw. It will be great if i can select the full set of type holes (Example A1-A4) to see where these holes are positioned. This will be helpful when showing the hole details in section view as i don't want to show same hole type in multiple section views. please let me know in any way it is possible.     Best regards, Abhinand  

Good morning everyone I need to change the default values ​​of the attached image, regarding the screw passage diameter I saw that it is modified on the DIN13-1.hol file of the IFX folder, but the depths and diameter of the screw seat in IFX does not take them into account because it goes to get them from another place..has anyone already tried to make these changes? to not lose these changes it would be better to position them externally so that it is the same for all users if so how? Hello Mathcadeers,I am designing a phase lock loop circuit (electrical engineering) and trying to use Mathcad Prime 10. I got stuck, as Mathcad Prime 10 could not find the solution. I used to be able to solve this, with no problem in Mathcad15.The program is to find the cross section (on the x-axis) of the DARK and the RED traces, where Fout1 is a variable. Attached is the MP10 file. For illustration, I set Fout1 to sweep from 3.5Ghz to 12.5Ghz, 1Ghz step. It takes really long (really long) to find the solution. If Fout1 has 3 points, then takes few minutes. If Fout1 is say 10points, it probably won't be able to find the solution. In Mathcad15, it takes 2 or 3 seconds. Attached is the file, in case anyone want to take a a look.  Regards,Ak

I have to use Matcad on one of the modules of the university course i am doing. I went to purchase the student license and it states that the estore is undergoing maintenance but it will provide me with prime 10 free for 30 days. So i was emailed a link, downlaoded prime 10 and then after being told i had to create two accounts, one on the web and one on the app it eventually got the license and full functionality. I then get an email stating my trial is running out and to click the link tp purchase a student account. I click it and it asks me to enter details and someone will contact me. This has been over 2 weeks now and multiple forms filled in for contact have been ignored and no one has contacted me so i can purchase a student license. I am at a loss. ALl i want to do is keep MatchCAD going for more then 30 days as the module is 3 months long! BUt for some reason PTC seem impossible to actually purchase their product.Does anyone know how i can purchase this license or how I can ma

I have a permanent floating license for an older version.  Although I have the license files, I no longer have the Flexnet server files (for LINUX) to serve the license.   Can anyone help with the Flexnet server files?

When opening assemblies from Windchill in CreoView, I frequently experience an error where some of the components do not load.  They will appear in the model tree with a red dot next to the part name.  There is no error message.  The individual parts that fail to load can be opened on their own through Windchill.  Also, when re-opening the assembly with parts that fail to load, sometimes different parts will fail to load from attempt to attempt. This issue has not occurred for any other user at my company and also does not occur for me when using other PCs besides my laptop.  We have attempted re-installing Creo View, clearing the cache, and other common fixes. Creo View Lite version 10.0.0.0 Build 26Windchill version 12.0.2.5

Hi, Creo keeps shutting down because of this error. I have the student version and it basically says that it doesn't have "enough" access but I have already allowed it to communicate through my firewall. Plus, I uninstalled and reinstalled the diagnostic tool and it still won't work. I'll be really grateful ofr any suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks!Error message ↓ 

Hello,Why does PTC Mathcad Prime seem more oriented towards CIVIL and MECHANICAL Engineering, and much less towards Electrical Engineering, and Physics, and more in depth Mathematics? Will this be the case in the future?    

Hello - I looked high and low and attempted searching for this request online and within CREO 10.In CREO Assy you can select one component and change the transparency of that component - but when you go to drawing the view is monolithic - Solid or hidden but not hybrid. There is one component that I want to display hidden line removal to show features within the part. I tried Component Display under Layout/Edit. I went through the prompts - but nothing changes. Is this possible - and why so hard to achieve?I read online about Display States within CREO - but when I search CREO help I see nothing in CREO 10.Thanks for helping.

Is it possible to align tables to another tables or to view or any entity in drawing sheet?

Hello, we migrated from Creo 8 to 11. I have a problem in sketcher, those blue boxes around dimensions. Upon entering a value I cant even see the number. Any Ideas what could be the problem? I dont know if its graphical glitch or some setup/option problem.
