As I recall, importing image in Notebooks was possible in the past. Currently, there seems to be an issue with it. Sometime importing a jpg might pop up, but most of all you get a frame showing 'OLE' and the imported file name, but no graphics.I can't seem to figure out what the root cause is. Importing an existing JPG file as an object seems the only way to do in a notebook, while a drawing has a specific Images import commandAnyone knows how to solve this?Using Creo 9.0.4.0 and to my knowledge this worked fine in Creo Parametric 7
I am trying to install Mathcad 14 on a new machine. I have a license file I load from disk. However when I run Mathcad it comes up and tells me that the license I have requested has expired 14-apr-2014. However I have a perpetual license for this product. Could you please send me a license file that will work on this new machine. Thank you for your help.
Hi all Does anyone know if there is a way to paste a Mathcad Prime equation into an native equation in Microsoft Word or Powerpoint? And also the other way around, from Powerpoint into Mathcad Prime? Thanks!
Hi , Whenever I need to create a new part, the part number, part name and other some information are entered in relation parameter tab that can access in assembly and drafting template. From this manual method I need to automate this process to create new part number and part name only in the party modern template. If any one knows about the automation in relations or pro program, please guide me through this to make possible. Thanks in advance...
Hello everyone, I'm still having trouble with "Allow Assumptions", see also https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Problem-with-Constraint-Orientation-Assumptions/m-p/759215. I still don't appreciate how they changed it and I also report equally anomalous behaviour.I present to you with a simple example ASM file the fact that a completely assembled component with "allow assumption" assembled squared if repeated, can be incorrectly rotated. In the attached asm file I have assembled a box and a square nut on a hole.I created the files with Creo 2.0 to give the more curious that the problem does not occur in Creo 2.0.If I try to reassemble this nut in the other holes with the "Repeat" command or by copying and pasting it with the "Paste Special" command, the nut in some holes is correctly squared while in others it is incorrectly rotated. For me it's a big nuisance because when duplicating the screws it forces me to add the third constraint to each element instead of r
Hello, can someone help me, please.I recently got a new computer with Windows 11. I have Creo 8 and Creo View 9 installed now. I can't get creo files in explorer to be opened primarily with creo view when double clicked? Thanks

Hello, I am trying to create optimized parts for AM. During the initial optimization (pic 1), the part looks very good and respects the Excluded Geometry bodies, ie. keep out areas. However, when I generate the result to reconstructed part (pic 2), it will create shapes intersecting with Excluded Geometry areas. In this example, I cannot attach the required fasteners to final design since the organic blobs are blocking it. I thought that build direction could have something to do with it, so I flipped it to not have any internal "ceilings", or bridging, in the design. Same result (pic 3). I have tried to change material, material spreading, forces, output resolution level, excluded geometry design etc (pic 4). The same challenge repeats, final reconstructed design does not respect my excluded geometry. I am running it on CREO Parametric 10.0.1.0 with GTO & AAX extensions. All tips are welcome & appreciated!
I am learning more about how to use layers in Creo Parametric. One issue I have is the Layer Tree becoming unwieldy. Currently, I have an assembly model with a really long layer tree with a large amount of layers that have no contents. I'd like to delete these layers to shorten the tree and make it easier to read/use. I haven't found a way to automate this process. I was hoping that there would be a filter to show all the empty layers or a "find" function to select only empty layers for deleting. Does anyone else have this issue? What are some workarounds or methods that might ease the approach to cleaning up the layer tree? Thanks
Good evening everyone, I have 43 level and in each level I have 16 elements ... I want mathcad to calculate the average value in each level >> summing the 16 elements in each level and dividing them by their number (16). but what I get is the opposite ... it sums all the levels (43) and divides them by 43... I expect the answer to contains 43 value not 16 I tried to use programing ..I get worse result I also, tried to use a simple mathcad sheet to post .. it works there , but not at my original sheet ;( I posted both the original and the simplified version for your assessmentThanks in advance
I want to know the time it takes from start to finish in mathcad14 and mathcad prime10.Is there any way to do this?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Translated the topic from Japanese to English using google translateSubject - 計算時間の表示方法Body - 私はmathcad14とmathcad prime10それぞれで、プログラムを開始してから終わるまでのかかった時間を求めたいです。何か方法はありますか?-By Community Moderation Team-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I'm using PTC Mathcad version 7 and would like to copy and then paste equations into my Power Point slides. This was possible with the normal MathCAD (Such as MathCAD 15 and previous versions of the old MathCAD). However, this doesn't seem possible with PTC Mathcad - or am I wrong about that? I haven't had much luck using a simple copy/paste method with PTC Mathcad. Although, I certainly can use another application to create a screen capture - then import that image into Microsoft Word or Power Point - I'd much rather use a command sequence within PTC Mathcad - such as Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V Since the 1990s Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V worked quite well with original MathCAD for equations, graphs, etc. Let me know what options exist for exporting equations and graphs out of PTC Mathcad version 7. Thanks!
Creo Parametric 7 I have a table pattern with 3 members, the third member is failing but I have not been able to root cause the failure. The pattern regenerates when only varying the angle dimension (ROT DIR 1), when I add the linear dimension to the pattern it is failing. I am looking for options on how to determine what is wrong. If anyone has suggestions for diagnostics or can see the issue, chime in. Creo 7 model posted for review.
I've searched everywhere and can't find the product code anywhere
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0Experiencing difficulties with variables not working as expected. Here are the errors that I facedMy version 10.0 will not recognize the unit once it's defined on the right side of equations..Can you help?
How do I use the flexible modeling move command to rotate surfaces? I can move them linearly, but how do I rotate them 90 degrees? I am using CREO 10.
Hi Guys, How do I change these values? I've seen a post saying its Linear_tol, but this doesnt seem to change anything. now that we are testing out MBD, I'm noticing that in 3d these are not what I want shown for tolerances. I want it to match my 2d drawings as:.xxxx =+-.0005.xxx = +-.001.xx = +-.005.x = +-.01 This is what Ive tried added to my config, pro with no luck in changing this. Im assuming my formatting on the config is not correct?
HelloI know Pro/ENGINEER 2001 it's an old version of Pro/ENGINEER (24 years old), but sometimes people get nostalgic I'm wondering if anyone has the installation disks for Pro/ENGINEER 2001 (Win_95 and NT) to share with me.The legacy versions are no longer available for download from the PTC website, so I'm reaching out to you ProE fans. I know there are good people out there who still own/have these installation disks and are willing to share with me.Thanks everyone for your support.
I'm using creo 10.0.2.0. I can't get basic layers to work consistently and am not sure why... So, I created a sketch in the model. I want to show up in my drawing, but be hidden in the model. So first, I create a layer called CS_Measurement and add the sketch to it. Then I hide it in the model. Then i go to my drawing. I select my Left_10 view so i can control that view independent of all else. I click on CS_Measurement, and the red dotted line appears as a preview. Then I right click on CS_Measurement so I can unhide the sketch, but...... Apparently it's already unhidden because it gives me the "Hide" command only... Except it's not unhidden because it's not showing up in yellow like it should when i click away.so maybe i have to expand the CS_Measurement layer and unhide the sketch itself. However, the only option presented is "Unhide in Model". But I don't want to do that... I just want to unhide in that drawing view every now and then, ill try unhiding some things, re-hiding o
HiExcel is great for condensing information in a small space so when I have multiple input variables (+50) to my mathcad file I read those from an excel file. In MathCad 15 this excel file could be open and editable while mathcad was still able to read the values which allow for a very efficient "trial and error" workflow. (change data in excel - press ctrl F9 in mathcad. Review result and repeat as necessary) In Prime I have to close the excel file between each recalculation of the mathcad fil - do you know of any workaround or fix to this ??
Hello I wanted to know if there is any setting where we can turn off the windchill online workspace in one creo (i.e. work offline), and simultaneously work online on windchill workspace another creo. I am using creo 4.0. I know it was possible previously in creo 3 but is there any way to copy the same funcationality in creo 4.0? I would appreciate your responses.
Hi Community,(Creo 10.0.4.0)I'm setting up templates for new drawing templates and want to have a field in the title box about the export file name:1-00001234_01.stp<Part_numnber>_<Version>.stp&<parameter_name>_&<parameter_name> It looks for parameters the underscore "_" is breaking the definition, it needs a separator. What is the correct way to combine two parameters without space or with a character? Is there any markdown available for Creo tables?
"Theory and Problems of Electric Circuits", 4th edition. McGraw-Hill Companies is also very good text I found in Academia.edu. In chapter 7 it shows the impulse response of RL circuit. Mathcad Prime 10 shows it, I also stand with Mathcad side. Another is unique problem and answer of this book. My Mathcad Prime sheet shows the answer clockwise current by blue line. Red plot is above answer of clockwise direction. Challenge it.
Hi, I am experiencing this same issue. The Drag tool notices the Clash and pushes the object. When I run the analysis, it ignores this push option and just goes right though the object highlighting the clash. Is anyone at PTC looking into this issue? I want to create a template in Mathcad with a table in this specific format. I've been trying but haven't been able to find the exact method to achieve it. Could you suggest any workarounds or solutions for this?
