Hello. I am wondering that if it is possible to manage the assembly references in part mode. For example, i would like to open a part in assembly mode, then i will replace the reference for that part in part mode.

Hi my Mathcad 9.0 shown "you have reached the maximum number of license available from your product type.how to fix it? i used to free 30 days trial.

I have a fairly simple drawing with a repeat region showing mass properties (see attached screen dump)I have one column for the total weight (part weight x rpt qty).To avoid adding assembly weights to the parts weights, I have set the assembly weight to zero and the column only list the parts' weights.The total wight of the main assembly is calculated separately and listed in the drawing head asTotalvikt = 154,02 kg.When I add the weights in the column they add up to the same as Totalweight which is what I would expect.However, when the repeat region summation does the same adding up it gives the result = 93,05 kg.I have tried various assemblies but there is always a difference between Totalvikt and the summation result.I have not been able to find any logic between the two different results.Can somebody tell me what is wrong?I am using Wildfire 3.4HELP!! 

Hello, everybody:I am trying to generate a PVZ file using simplified reps to only show a part of a bigger assembly. In the Annotate tab of CREO I have the correct components on display but when I export the file to CREO view I get extra components that should be hidden. Any idea of why this happens and how I could fix this? I have attached photos of the CAD view and the PVZ output below.Thanks in advanced for the help 🙂

New to Mathcad, running into an error I can't resolve. I have defined all of my matrices and variables up top, but in the solver block there are unrecognized variables. Error is: "This variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly." Anyone have an idea what might be going on? See screenshot below.  Using Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0

Hi alls,I'll have to go and work at my client office soon.I must use my notebook (Win 7 x64) with Wildfire 2 and Intralink 3.4.Now, I'm working with Creo 2/3, what a big change...So, I'm wondering if those a little bit old softwares will work on my Win10 x64 computer or must I install an older OS (win7, x32/64... ?)Thanks for any advice,Dominique

I could open parts fine in Creo 3 M120 / WC 10.2 fine for years but then recently I get the "cannot be retrieved" error whenever I try and open something from my workspace.  I have tried the following so far:1. Using another PC - same error2. Logging in with another user on my pc - works fine3. Reinstalling Creo 3 M120 on my pc - error persists4. Clearing cache - error persists5. Deleting all existing workspaces and creating a new one - error persists6. Deleting user and re-adding in WC - error persists I think it must be a Creo agent issue or something similar? I have run out of ideas...  

I would very much like to add a column to my BOM then make the lines invisible. I want to have one or more parameters attached to the BOM but off the page of the drawing because no ones going to like having a bunch of lines on the page to the right of the BOM like a column didn't get printed.

Hello.Im using Mathcad prime 9.0.0.0need to create an analysis in which im comparing my results with my requirements.need some kind of function to do that but not really sure where to start or what to look for. something like my maximum voltage calculated is 16V, but per requirement im allowed to go up to 18Vso want a function that compare this 2 values and show them like:"Result: 16V  -  Margin: 12.5%  -  PASS"   

Hello i want to add new sizes for threaded holes. For example i only have until M16x2 and i want to to do a M24 hole. See picture below. 

Software: Creo Parametric 7.0.10.0   I want to assign some sheet metal design rules and have created one. Can we verify those rules in the model. I tried using "MODEL CHECK Rule Check". But I'm getting this error "Cannot read rules from file". I have saved the rules in this filename "design_rule_test.rul" (as saved from Model properties). But in creo documentation, it is mentioned that the file should have ".rule" extension. I have also created "RC_MODEL_TYPE" parameter. How to do this correctly. Am I doing something wrong?    

Hello,i am new to engineering and tend to get the simple yet difficult things confuse. If you ever have a parent/children drawing for updates, whats the best way of remembering it?Ex: if you have a casting drawing which is referenced on a machined drawingEx: if you have a complete finished good along with packaging and let's say a sub component in a finish good changes, will it rev up packaging?in theory, in my assumption.. if a parent is affected, all children gets affected.. if a child 1 gets affected and there are other children underneath it... the parent won't get affected but anything under child 1 will. Please help with feedback. I appreciate your time and efforts

Dear Team,I have created a custom parameter into the assembly, Now I want to call this parameter into BOM table. I know how to use repeat region, but I am not able to call the assembly custom parameter into drawing BOM table. Please help. 

Please see https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS311063.It turns out View Adapters are currently not supporting different representations for publishing Inventor assemblies and always visualize "Master Rep" only.It is even documented that way in "Creo View MCAD Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide", see the attached screenshot. Sadly that's not acceptable for our users and use-cases within Windchill. Designers expect the published assembly to look like they saved it, showing the active representation in Inventor, not always Master. It's dangerous too, because components might have to be surpressed, different color-encodings are used for certain components, etc. All is lost by blindly visualizing "Master Rep". Please consider implementing proper behaviour (like implemented for Creo) in a future release. Thanks!

 

I cannot find the setting, I believe in the DTL to change the default behavior for new projected views.  What we want is for the view to come in WITHOUT any of the annotations displayed.  I have seen this behavior in the past (at different company/installations) but we see all the annotations that are in the acceptable orientation display and we are forced to do a bunch of cleanup work.  We would like to eliminate that.  thanks in advance!

I will rendering an animation... and i will use FFmpeg....In the Help-Center is only this litte text.... Add an AVI codecSeveral AVI codecs are defined in the customization file ani_customize, which is found in <installationdirectory>\personality\sd_customize\AdvAssembly_Parametrics. You may add a new codec to this file if desired. Please review the comments in the file for more information. Now in the "ani_customize" i will add FFmpeg to creo.... but it dosen't work... FFmpeg is installed on pc. How does it works? I want to solve three equations with three unknowns and display the solution on a 3D graph with two points - the roots of the equation.I can’t find Vyacheslav Mezentsev’s utility (Mathcad 15 or Prime) for such drawing two close surface. Help please.

hi All I am facing an issue with a 3D assembly. Everytime I open the assembly with a simplified representation (not Master or automatic) and regenerate the model, the model changes partially to wireframe (not all parts, only some of them) and these parts are not selectable anymore. does anyone have and idea what the problem here is? Creo 7.0.12.0 with Windchill 11 thanks in advance  

How do you modify the config.pro file on Creo 4.0 M-150.

I need to import .prt file in solid works with minimum data loss and in editable format. Also with feature recognition as accurate as posiible.  I tried importing one .prt file in solid works but data and feature recognition is not properly extracted. Please help me with this

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.8.0Is there any possibilty to copy as external representation in toolkit? (similar to Copy As External command in Creo)

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with Creo 9.0.1.0 Parametric Educational Edition, as the program does not let me export drawings in PDF format if they contain certain symbols.For example, the following drawing is exported correctly:While if I change the radius dimension to a diameter one, containing the symbol  Φ instead of the letter R, as in the following:I get this error:And the export is not carried out.Has anyone experienced the same issue and know how to solve it?Thank you very much,Andrea.
