Hi, I have an equation that I manipulate in Mathcad and I would like to communicate the resulting expression to an acquaintance as text.How do I copy/paste my equation as string of ASCII characters?e.g. expression from math region:I would like the string that I copy to look similar to this: a^2*(b*x+c)/cThe clipboard content is: "(* (^ a 2) (@PARENS (/ (+ (* b x) c) c)))" Is this functionality not present by design?

I have converted the Creo Schematics Lite to Creo Schematics Full version.This works well until I want to link an old design to the catalog.I get the following report and can't solve it. Who can help me solve this?By the way the items that are mentioned are not fysical on the design. I workes in the past with the central Library and a Template.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.6.0Tangent Lines are not visible when model display is set to wireframe or hidden line display style -When I view my models in wireframe or hidden, the tangent lines of a cylindrical feature are invisible.

We use shrinkwrap for welding, because merge does not work for features and a weld with the weld application is a feature in Creo. It works fine, however unlike merge you can not open base model from the model tree, instead you need to go to feature information, copy the number and open that number. Is it possible to make a mapkey to do that instead of manually do it all the time? Hello All.I recently started working on CreoView and after having moved from Solidworks, I am unable to use shortcuts for viewing objects quickly such as (ctrl+1,2,3...) for viewing the model in different orientations. Can  anyone please tell me how to use these shortcuts to improve the productivity

Good evening, Is there a document that explains the keywords of a xml file describing the part of the ribbon of a company module (that can be found in the installation directory (eg C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Drafting 20.4.1.0\Modules\)?The reason is that Drafting used to die on my pc when I add or modify a panel on the ribbon of my module.Also, I personally think that modifying with a text editor the xml file is easier. Another question: is it possible to have several language in the same xml file, the language being automatically selected by Drafting according to the current locale (similar to the DGETTEXT system?Should be possible, since changing the locale on Drafting with CHANGE_LOCALE do change the labels on the ribbon.   

I’m trying to use toolkit to delete .drw files under working directory. There is a situation when the model mounted to the drawing is missing, I can’t manage to delete the drw file with promdlnameretrieve() and Promdldelete(). Does anyone know any other method to delete a file from disk in toolkit, many thanks.

  I am looking to write some code for a structural connection design template. One of the things that needs to be checked is plate geometry. More specifically the distance from the centerline of a bolt hole to the edge of the plate the hole is in. The table below outlines the general parameters I am trying to meet. lets call the bolt diameter "d" and the min edge distance "x",for 0.5 <= d <= 1if x >= d + 0.25 then return "meets spec". if not then return "violates spec" for 1 < d <= 1.25if x >= d + 0.375 then return "meets spec". if not then return "violates spec" for d > 1.25if x >= d * 1.25 then return "meets spec". if not then return "violates spec" Basically, I want to put in various values for "d" and "x" and have it tell me whether or not I meet the spec per the rules above. Is there a way in Creo Simulate to use a surface to create shell elements?  This is not a midsurface shell compression.  I created a simple "L" solid part with a surface extrusion.  I thought the autoGEM control "hard surface" would achieve what I wanted.  But it doesn't.  Is there a different setting that will accomplish this?  I've attached photos of the part and the part meshed.    

I have always struggled with Creo when it comes to getting good millpaths.  No matter what I try, it always seems like Creo defaults to pushing the cutter directly into the middle of the part (material fully surrounding the cutter) instead of slowly milling its way into the part from the outside in.I have dealt with this issue for many years now, and decided it's time to make a post here asking for help.  As you can see in the video, it would be ideal to mill the outside first, allowing 2/3rds of the cutter in the material until it mills completely to the center.(view in My Videos)

(more than 800 parts and the 2D Drawing, Not simulation. only assembly and drawing. sometimes use AFX)I would like to know AMD graphic card compatibility with creo 10.0.Is compatibility good when using Radeon Pro W7600 or W6600? Or should I use Quadro?

I am running CREO 10.0 on a student license, and trying to create a .mfg model.  But when I enter new model name and template the model window does not switch to the manufacturing model window.  Does anyone know if this feature is not available with a student license, or am I doing something else wrong.  thanks.

Hi, I want to compile a table with automatic calculations. In  the figure attached, I want to plot in the cell the result of a quote divided by a constant number "2560". How can I do this?  Can I recall in the cell the result of a relation obtained dividing the quote with the constant number? Hi, Most of our assemblies created in Creo contain background objects which do not participate in BOM. They just facilitate the layout, including skeleton objects. The problem is that all of those objects, which are not suppressed, are getting published by the WVS Worker and are available down the stream in Creo View and Creo Illustrate (however they're not present in MAPSB, PPB, visualization tabs). Is there a way to set the worker up in such a way that those viewables won't contain such geometry and structure? Or is there a different workflow that would let us get this outcome other than suppressing all of those objects in CAD? Kind regards,Tom

Hi I am doing analysis on a relatively large structure, and I would like to build the the model for Simulate using beam idealisations rather than native models.  I know how to create an individual beam, but am looking guidance/tutorial on how to create an assembly, if possible using a mixture of idealised beams and 'physical' geometry.Thanks in advanceFrancis
