Hello All, I Had one doubt. How to designate the Parameter of Instances Model. There is no option (Column) provide for the Parameter to designate in the instances model. Can Somebody have experience in it.. please your valuable comments Thanks in Advance
Unable to use solve block to find the result. Am i doing something wrong? Please help
Hello!Does anybody has experience with OTK Java? How it compare with Pro/Toolkit? OTK Java have all the features of the Pro/Toolkit or OTK java is restricted like J-link?Thanks
To make a Family of an Assembly, I set up a Family Table Assembly. In this assembly, most parts are used just as they are. This reprents no issues. Some parts are not used in one instance and are used the another instance. This too represents no issues. The Family Table of the Assembly presents a "Y" for one instance and a "N" for the other and this works fine. One part in the Assy FT Generic is a FT part itself. In the Assy FT Generic the Part FT Generic is called. Again, so far, no problem. In the Assy FT table, one Generic and two instances are defined. The Assy Generic calls the Part Generic. Instance 1 of the Assy FT calls part instance 1 of the Part FT and, you've guessed it, Instance 2 of the Assy FT calls part instance 2 of the Part FT Verfiying only brings angel songs and praise upon the creator (that would be me) However, when opening the Assy FT instance 1, not instance 1 of the Part FT is loaded but the generic of the Part FT...... and the same for Assy

Hey Everyone! Wondering if someone has a work around or know how of this. Sometimes I need to take a standard part that is in my assembly like a panel that is blank and then while doing the design I may need to add a bulkhead of cut out later down the road. The way I do it now is to do a "save as" delete the other part and reassembly the new saved part in its place. I am using a library parts and what we do now is a save as of the whole assembly effectively giving every part a new number which is monotonous and using more parts number then we would like every time. Is there a way to save a new part number to an Assembly part in the tree without doing the "Save As" every time? Hope this makes sense, using Creo 9
We only just now upgraded from Creo 4 to Creo 7.When running Model CHECK now, it opens in a separate stand alone window, which with multi screens pops up most often in a screen you are not working in. Is there a config setting to get the MC window to open "integrated" (not a stand alone window) in the model graphic window the way it was in Creo 4?
I've shaded a portion between markers and curve as one portion as a other as b, how can i find area between them.
Hi all, I am trying to perform a 4 parameter logistic regression using genfit on a data set in Mathcad prime 4.0. I already have done this regression online, so I know what my guess values should be. I just want it for Mathcad workflow. Unfortunately, I am getting a real number error, even with close guess values. Is there any way to see the domain of these guesses? I hope this isn't a rendundant question to the site, and I've attached my document to look at. Thanks a ton in advance!(picture if needed)
Using CREO 4.0 M120: CREO is not importing correctly some 2D components exported from Allegro Cadence V17.2. Few 2D components are missing. (They do have height attributes.). When exported from Allegro, export geometry looked fine on Allegro’s end but when imported into CREO, all the components using for ex, RES_0402_CUST didn’t read in and there were NO error messages. ( There was mention of an ecad log file, but we couldn’t locate this ecad log file at first. Later when we tried again, the ECAD log file was generated showing error bringing in these certain components.) We later ran test on this. We did get an error asking if we wanted CREO to try to sketch/create geom. We went with yes, it did and created a sketch but still did not show up in model. We also tested it again saying no to try to sketch model, same thing and there was no error message after this saying the component still didn't read in.Later the same exact files were r
HelloI purchased the license of Mathcad Prime 9 on July 14th, but it now shows that I have reached the maximum number of licenses. But I have never activated any of them. Can you help reset this authorization? Or you can tell me which account activated this authorization.Or there may be other ways to solve it, thank you. order information: PTC University Order Number: 9176734Sales Order Number: 3337434Customer Number: 635006Service Contract Number:Support Expiration Date: 13-07-2024
Hello,As can be seen below, my outer dia and inner dia in the part sketch tool are 208.1 and 173.9 respectively.I have then shelled the extruded model.I want to check if the internal dia of this model is what I want it to be. To do this I make a drawing of the model and using a three tangent make a sketch of the internal dia. The resulting measurement however does not seem to reflect the actual inner dia of the model and instead the corresponding drawing measurement taking the scale into account. Is there a way to find the inner dia via the drawing? I am using the c_drawing template on creo paramteric 9.0 student version
Hello everyone,i have a problem with combined states.I have defined a new combined state named "NEW" and I would like this combined state to be read instead of the default "Default All".N.B. my goal is to have a new combined state set by default while preserving the original default combined state. This is the starting condition: If I right-click on the new combined state "NEW" the program allows me to set it as "Make Default", it would seem a perfect command for my case, and instead even setting it and saving the model, when the model is reopened the combined state is returned the original one by default... why? This is the result by activating the combined state "NEW" and setting it as "Make Default":This is the result when I reopen the model: Is it normal for something like this to happen? How can I fix it?Thank you.P.S. I use Creo 9.0.2.0
When you create a part in a standalone way using sketches, revolves, extrudes, etc., then it is simple to create a drawing. You just have to use the dimensions that appear with the model annotations when creating the drawing. However, when your part is based on a lot of data sharing features, the respective dimensions are not going to appear in the model annotations when you want to create a drawing. So, how would you create a drawing when you have a lot of data sharing features in the model? For example, when you want to manufacture the part. Thanks for all ideas and replies!
Hi,As you can see in the example below, I'm changing the scale of a view : After clicking on the scale, this pop up appears : My problem is that every time I use CTRL+A (normally to select all) when it is activated, this blue rectangle appears and changes what I type next. This problem isn't only with the parameter &view_scale but any other parameters (&Material / &Scale ...). How can I modify this short cut ? Thanks.
Good afternoon, I am sure this is simple but cannot find an answer. What is the most direct way to delete an else block that is empty? I really struggle with this. Am I missing something?
I converted worksheet from 15 to prime having minimize keyword. Giving different result after conversion are there any changes that is required to do in worksheet.
Hi. What do the different domain icon colors mean? I've noticed after meshing they can change from the bluish color they normally are. I know I've at least seen green (pictured here) and gray. For the model I'm currently working on, the green icon domains do not let me view any properties (e.g., temperature). Thanks. It would be really nice if there was a place to look up all this stuff that's not explained in help.
Hello, I'm new to mathcad (express prime 9.0.0.0 and have full functionality for another month), so extra points for being extra articulate 🙂 The image below on the left is what I am trying to accomplish and what I've typed out within Mathcad. The image below on the right is the book example I am trying to replicate. I am trying to plot Fr_eff/X vs X with different "p" values, which makes sense when looking at the text. Some Questions:Why is the error "trying to plot to many range variables showing up?"In the example textbook they are showing the function they are Plotting "Fr/X". How are they plotting the function without writing the inputs to the function, ie. Fr(X,p)?They are only plotting p=0.5 up to 7 (in increments of approximately 1 in certain cases), which is not how they define p at the top. How are they only plotting certain p values, and not all of them?Last and obvious question, what am I doing wrong? Thanks EDIT: I've at
I’m trying to run an FEA on a fixed support beam, I replaced all the bolts with “intelligent fasteners”. I keep getting the “cannot process highlighted contacting surface” error
Good evening,I am trying to solve an exercise in MathCad prime 8.0 with the RKadapt function but it return a very unusual error that says "Unknown error: Exception generated by call destination", I have tried to change the function with "Adams" or "rkfixed" and it returns the same error, I have also tried to redefine the equivalences as for example "(d/dr)^2 y(r)1 = y3". Attached there is a screeshot of my work sheet with the differential equation that I need to solve and the procedure that I did. Thanks to everyone in advance.
Hi experts, can we add against each thread size? (i.e. a parameter called DEPTH_RATIO),this is require b'cos considering the the drill depth is 3x of drill sizeand thread depth is derived from drill depth x depth_ratio,we require thread depth as per ISO 1179-1 for hydraulic port.
Hello,I plotted this function and the graph looks something "strange", at least at first glance. Normally it should have shown a continuous line, or? MC8 Prime.
Hi Community, I'm a very beginner of Pro/Toolkit and try to make a program that creates a new 3D part in Creo 4.0.I have a file that indicate crosssectional plane shape points and the program should read the file, make sketch from the points, and create solid by rotating/exluding the sketch. I'd like to make it in asynchronous mode, so it will contain functions below: 1) Read file and extract shape points2) Start/Connect Creo3) Open new PART4) Select a datum plane(like "FRONT" plane)5) Draw sketch on the plane form shape points6) Select datum plane/axis as reference7) Exlude/rotate to make solid I tried ProSolidMdlnameCreate() method for function 3) but noting shown in my display even the program returns no error.Could you show me how to open a new PART file with default template? Thanks!
I am unable to plot multiple traces in Mathcad prime 9.0 when first defining a chart component from the menu ribbon. For example, I selected chart component from the menu ribbon and defined an X1:=x, Y1:=cos(x) and Y2:=sin(x) but only the Y1 trace appears in the plot.I still had Mathcad 8 on my computer and was able to plot multiple traces.I then cut and paste the multiple trace chart component from 8 to 9 and it worked in 9.It seems like the multiple traces just doesn't work when I start a graph from the menu in 9. What's going on? Any suggestions on how to fix the problem in Mathcad 9.0? I tried exiting the program and rebooting but I cannot get multiple traces in chart components when starting from the menu ribbon. I can only get it to work if I copy from an existing multiple trace chart component. A pdf and the mathcad documents are attached.
