Hi all, As the subject suggests, I have a problem with the explode lines being hidden in drawing view. They can be seen as offset lines in the assembly. The only layer hidden in the drawing is 03___PRT_ALL_CURVES. When I try showing this, the hidden lines still do not show up. Any help with this would be much appreciate. Thank you!
I need a support to get some information on Creo pro-programing as I'm working on this topic for one of the projects to change the model according to new design specification up on regeneration which will run by the program. As of now, I have made the program using parameter relations which will create the required models based on the parameter's entry as per the design specifications and it is working well. The program is written in such a way that it will pop up the error message window if we enter wrong or incorrect values as inputs but after that it will ask for to continue regeneration or abort the changes as in the attached snap. If we give yes to continue regeneration, still program could be able to create model with incorrect parameter values. But can we restrict this regeneration or set user defined error message saying that the entered values are incorrect please try to enter correct input values blah blah ……?
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/AHello,can you help me to change .CRC files location path?I know TRAIL files and else can change the location.I try to find the option command. But I can't.I will look forward to your response.
One of our engineers has placed many views outside the drawing borders to pull detail and section views from. I am saying it is a bad drafting practice but he insists he has valid reasons to do so, I would like to hear the opinion of others who do large drawings. This is a plant layout design and has about 10 sheets to the file.
Hello Community, If I open an assembly from Windchill in Creo View and add annotations and/or save annotation sets to the assembly: Will the engineer see these annotations/sets in his Creo Parametric when he continues to work on the assembly? RegardsDavid
I have tried several times to have the link emailed to me to download the free version of Mathcad but I am not receiving the email. I have checked the spam folders and there is no email.
Whenever I drag a handle for a 3D feature (extrude, revolve, etc.) it snaps to some fixed increments, rather than allowing me to smoothly and continuously drag it. Surely there is an option to disable this snapping, right? The only workaround I've found is to set the interval values to very small numbers, but surely there is an "OFF" switch for this snapping behavior, right? Workaround: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/draging-extrusion-only-allow-0-100-increments/m-p/226354
Dears, I´m using with great success the Coolprop wrapper, but one challenging task is to form the "mixture" string. Air for instance must be written as: "O2[0.21]&N2[0.79]" When working with complex mixtures, like up to 10 components, my idea was to use a table and extract a "concat" function from the table. All good doing it the hard way:(...)Problem: if I add or remove one of the 10 components from the table, maybe for a simpler composition, then the formula for "mixture" would fail. Solution: maybe write a program? But don´t even know how to start. Any help would be great. Best regards, Fred.
Hello,I've been trying to figure out a way to calculate the average/total flow velocity in a given section of the model. However, there are no such option in Flow Analysis. What I mean can be understood with the example below. Is there a way to find out the average/ total velocity (m/s) of a local section (highlighted in red). Or is there a way to find out the average/total velocity (m/s) through the entire model.I can't seem to find any such option. The real time probe option gives values of the variable at just single points. Can someone please help me through this ?
do you know how i can define the material definition in CREO (tensile Strenght) ? thanks
Hello all,I don't know if I understood correctly the handling and organization of the "standards". That's why I tested a little bit. If possible, please comment on what I have done and asked: 1. I have created with my own individual standard "Ramon-Standard-01", in which I copied the "Creo Standard" and then extended and adapted it. 2. when creating new CI, I have selected my standard "Ramon-Standard-01" before linking the pvz file. 3. all further changes and additions in "Ramon-Standard-01" I have made with the administration tool. 4. when reopening a CI whose standard is "Ramon-Standard-01", the Ci takes over all changes made to the "Ramon-Standard-01" (and reported it in a small window).--> Important: The time stamp of the changed "Ramon-Standard-01" has to be younger than the time stamp of the "Ramon-Standard-01" from the CI! 5. alternatively a batch run can be executed for the update of a CI. But the batch run is really only necessary if you want to upd
Hello, this is Minkyu Hwang from IDT. I have a few questions. 1. If you run creo, it will run in about 3 minutes. 2. Unable to access Creo internal browser. I want to ask if there is any solution for these two problems. Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 안녕하세요 IDT 황민규입니다.
I attached a simple example (clark transformation). Assume that I do not know the relationship between Uabc ,Ualpha and Ubeta. How can I derive the final transformation from the known equations? Thanks. The file was writen in Prime 8.

Hello, When trying to open a pdf from windchill on the embedded browser on Creo 5, I receive this error I tried following this article where this was solved Article - CS271042 - Downloading attachment of CAD document from Creo embedded chromium browser fails (ptc.com), however I do not have the Windchill Shell installed on my system. I require the embedded browser to be set to chromium_browser, otherwise other tools will not work. Is there any other known solution to this issue? Thank you,Mark
Hello dear members, trying to import file from following link in Creo, but its not importing properly, could anyone suggest the correct procedure to import? I tried importing but results are not satisfactory (see image below) https://www.mcmaster.com/4003K71-4003K727/
I am using a step function to define the first two values which are slightly different than the subsequent values and was able to do this in MathCAD v15, but I have just moved to Prime 8 and the function no longer works. The except from MathCAD v15 is shown below. How do I do the same sort of iterative function in Prime 8?
Hi all,I am facing the following problem:I am defining a function with four variables, three of them jsut a number, and one is defined as a series or sequence. (sorry if incorrect)I would like to obtain the maximum of the resulting sequence after the function evaluates the variables, but it looks that this is not exactly a matrix, since the max function is not working correctly:thanks all! PD: I have seen some solutions but I am unable to open those files. @MarkArmstrong https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Create-a-vector-from-the-result-of-a-function/m-p/191688/highlight/true#M75105
This is driving me crazy because sometimes, when I play with reselecting edges, the leader moves to where I need it, but for the most part I have to create a note and call out the dimension in question (workaround I would like to avoid)
I have a 1 line BOM for a part and updating tables command or going from tab to tab blanks all the info out of it. I can re-add the table or right click and look at the properties to remind it they exist. The info shows up on the assembly BOM fine.Does anyone have any ideas? I may remake the part to get rid of this annoyance. This is the first time I've run into this
The bore cycle in Creo Parametric 2.0 only seems to generate CYCLE / BORE which is G85. We need to bore, orient, back-off, and retract with G76. orient_angle and jog_dist doesn't output. Any way other than an Auxiliary Sequence all with CL STATEMENTS?
when we are going to export the drawing into the pdf the line weightage is increased. we are unable to find where I can reduce the weightage of that line. is there any setting in Creo where I can reduce the thickness of the line or weights. So' help us to out us from this issue.
Hello, [Creo Parametric 9.0.3.0] Normally when I open a Assembly file I've to pick one of my representations before and that's ok but when doing a drawing file I've never picked a representation at the beginning because I've multiple of them display in the different slides. It never happened to me before that I had to pick a representation before opening a drawing file. [Picture 1] Now I've been working in a drawing file with multiple slides and multiple representations, with the same assembly model for all of them. If I select a representation when opening it, some views in my drawing slides are changing too. [Picture 2] I correct it by going to each view again, and select the correct simplified representation as in the latest versions. But I don't want this to happen again. [Picture 3][Picture 4] Why is this happening? Does someone experience something similar? &
Creo7 When using the IFX fastener dowel pin counter bore option it only allows you to put a through hole in smaller than the dowel pin. I would like to flip the counter bore around so the counter bore is larger than the dowel .Example: On a 1" thick plate Ø.2497-.2500 thru, C'bore Ø.281 x.5 deep. This way the press fit isn't through the whole thickness of the plate.
